I was on the grass at T1, so many yellow flags, T1 on the first lap with cold slicks and sheep stations at stake meant nearly every race someone came off or hit someone else, the kids loved it, poor old cars, some nice old girls were out. Sunburned much though, balding head and no hat was a problem. Awesome day.

My boat has whiteline sway bar, bilsteins with king spring, and front and rear strut bracing, it handles great, has a slight touch of understeer mid corner which can be fixed by the accelerator pedal

You need to slow down and weave, small left to right movements, might need to up your amps a bit, plenty of you tube clips and internet tutorials, lots of practice helps. You don't need tafe, I'm a first class metal worker but I could weld well before going to tafe. Practice and you will be fine, look for penetration and after welding something up try and break the weld. Did I say practice.

Kumho Lap Battle Championship Round 3 - Date & Location Change
The Bogan replied to gregor's topic in Events Archive
Most modified skylines will run in SVD class, a blue battery triangle and a fire extinguisher is all that is needed, don't be put of thinking you or your car won't be good enough, there will be time groups for everyone. A lot of the cars are daily drivers, there is no door to door and overtaking is only permitted on the straights. As stated Eastern Creek will be under going some major changes and it would be a pity not to have a go on this awesome track before they change the layout. Me, I'm defiantly going to try and beat my PB and get some vanity pics of my car. Plus we need to keep the buzz bombs honest. -

Leak Down Test And Forged Pistons And Hard Rings
The Bogan replied to The Bogan's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Baffles are still in place, I cannot remember oil pressure off hand but Im thinking it was around 90ish psi from memory, it was around 110 psi before the spring come out, at 7200rpm. Its got better from when it first happened, but from my reckoning it wold take 1 x 1mm restrictor to get the job done and Im not sure that it would feed enough oil to the head when the car is at idle. Its frustrating because my set up is meant to breath a bit heavier until its up to working temp, it just doesnt get the chance to get hot enough to close down the tolerances, maybe. I do 2 warm up laps and its fine, then on the 3rd I get right up it and out comes the oil. LOL, strange my problem may be to much cooling, maybe. aaaarrrrrgggggggggg. -
Ive had my motor rebuilt and Im having some oil issues, Ive got forged pistons and "hard" rings, my leak down was at 15%, Ive been told that that is OK by a couple of different shops, Im not making enough blow by to cause alot of positive pressure in the sump but with all oil mods done from the oil surge thread, Oil Control In Rb's For Circuit Drag Or Drift, here> http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/110680-oil-control-in-rbs-for-circuit-drag-or-drift/ Would 15 % be enough to not allow the oil to flow to the sump, Ive got 2 x 1mm restrictors (RB25 hydraulic head on a RB30 block), opened up oil gallery returns, head drains to sump, head vents to catch can with a return to a winged baffled high volume sump. Im using a TOMEI pump which has had 1 spring removed. This has been a nightmare for a while as whenever I go to the track it pumps a couple of litres of oil out the catch can breather. The mechanic is at the stage of doing a seperate feed to the head to try and control it. Surely its not rocket science, but its causing our brains to seize. It never happened once with my old stock 200,00 K RB25 motor which was a heavy breather. This is all warranty work from the shop BTW, which to there credit are doing everything in their power to fix it, engine has been out twice so far and the heads been off three times. Anyone else using a TOMIE pump and having/had issues ????? HELP ME.................................

Stock Rb26 With Stock Rb30 Bottom End

7 or 8 dependant on the cams used, ambient temperature, and direction of the wind. -
I am so looking forward to Wakefield, I may/or may not beat my PB, should be the last outing for my old semis though, some new Khumos should be good though. That's if I get more than 3 laps.

Oil Control In Rb's For Circuit Drag Or Drift
The Bogan replied to Sydneykid's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
None of these mods fixed mine, with 2 1mm restricters and the TOMEI pump it still overflowed, I'm getting a external feed from the pump to the head which will have a adjustable feed control valve, idea is to set it so at idle it only supplying enough oil to the head to avoid noise/wear, hopefully then when holding high rpm for long periods it won't fill and overflow the can. And yes I know that hope is not a planning tool, but it cannot hurt at this stage. Stupid hydraulic head, wish I went solid. -

Streamlining Speed Limits In Nsw...finally
The Bogan replied to hamiltonau's topic in General Automotive Discussion
When I was young I got into some serious trouble as I was a idiot, after the cops bashed me me parents bashed me, I learnt a valuable lesson in that, obey the law or face the consequences, now days if you raise a hand or your voice against crime you get in trouble your self, we seem to forget the basics for learning and punishments, if you don't get punished you don't learn, simple. And people wonder why there is so much crime and a lack of respect everywhere you look. We are only just animals in the big picture, the only difference is we seem to have forgotten that, and that will be our eventual downfall. -
Sell auto and buy a manual, use the other money on top to buy a car with mods done, you will save thousands. Why did you buy a auto in the first place, you will waste a huge amount of money on a conversion. Or just keep it auto.

Streamlining Speed Limits In Nsw...finally
The Bogan replied to hamiltonau's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I don't think that "name and shame" wouldnt work, most of these people wouldn't care, I say harsher penalties to fit the crime, I don't care if they have to catch a bus or ride a bike for the rest of their life, they don't seem to worry about the general public so why worry about them, the laws have softened to a point that even if you break the law if you whinge enough about how hard it all is you will get off because the bleeding hearts jump on the hand wagon. It's just another case of people not accepting the responsibility or consequences of their actions. Your views on these things change when people you know are killed by these idiots, if they just killed themselves it would be OK but they usually survive leaving others dead in there wake. -
Streamlining Speed Limits In Nsw...finally
The Bogan replied to hamiltonau's topic in General Automotive Discussion
It's more for the urban areas that limits need harsher enforcement, people doing 70 in 40 zones, lots of kids get hit because people speed, braking distances decrease massively when you lower the speeds, my area is 50 kph zone with lots of parks and schools around but idiots still speed and drift the roundabouts, you can hear them gassing it up and down the streets all the time, mostly P platers but there are some older people who should know better. I've said it before and I'll say it again, some people are so stupid they need to be put down. -
It's beer O clock.

Streamlining Speed Limits In Nsw...finally
The Bogan replied to hamiltonau's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Lots of areas will be lowering overall limits, they are not putting any up. Doesn't bother me at all really, I normally just cruise around in the left lane doing the limit, I save my speeding for the track. People need to slow the puck down on the street, I always see idiots speeding, don't whinge and just do the speed limit, if you have more than 1 brain cell you can do it without your world coming to a end. -
No such thing anymore as a easy engineering certificate.

HOPEFULLY, fixed for the drag day.
