  2. A general rule of thumb for the correct tightness is being able to twist a belt with a thumb and finger a 1/2 turn and feel resistance. If you can turn it more than a 1/2 turn, you do not have enough tension on the belt. If you cannot turn it a 1/2 turn, you have too much tension on the belt. Loose belts will result in premature belt wear caused by the belt slipping along the pulleys. This can also cause an alternator to be unable to replace a charge to the battery fully. There may also be a pronounced squeal from the belt during operation from the belt slipping. Over-tightened belts can cause internal damage to the bearings inside the pulleys. It can also cause overheating of the belts and premature wear. Read more: How to Adjust a Belt Tensioner | eHow.com http://www.ehow.com/how_5091204_adjust-bel...l#ixzz16SuNZ3dL
  3. If its a dollar problem Ive gone with 3rd party fire and theft from just cars, Ive listed all my mods (went to 2 pages, lol) and it cost $450ish, its insured for market value though, Disclaimer, Im 45 and have only listed my mrs (40) as the other driver, its engineered and is also in a locked garage with a home alarm-car has a range of alarms-imobolilisers-kill switches and isolators and parked in a secure area when at work, its also a stock looking R33 GTS-T so not really eye candy. LOL, its like a pre-start checks for a fighter jet with all the swithes and stuff. And yes Ive had a car stolen before so Im as anal as 10 anal things. LOL, I said anal.........
  4. Instant improvement mate, they look great and were a breeze to install. Thanks, Mark
  5. The new cluster on my 200 000 klm 1995 chasis has 45 000 klm, would that count. Sorry mate but a 20 yr old car with 110 k on the speedo would add up to around 5 000 klm a year, in my opinion not very likely. Buyer beware.
  6. Or you just set up your car so the geometery is correct and your car handles properly.

  8. Stock boost 1.1, if you get it misfire at high rpm then go down .5 at a time till it doesnt misfire at high rpm. I was running .8 at 15lb which seemed to work well, the bigger the gap the better so dont go smaller than needed. There is a thread on plugs and gap size in the forced induction area. Go copper and replace them every 5 000k, coppers are as cheap as chips. The expensive ones are made to last along time but they give up performance after a while. My 2 cents
  9. Dont break this one ; ) Me needs some bloody good "street tyres" if Im gonna not make a fool of myself, are M/T ETs street tyres ? LOL But then me has more cubes RWD FTW
  10. And remember that if something can go wrong it will, most places out source for some fabrication and build processes, its how most places work so dont forget that its not just the shop thats working on your pride and joy, its the people they use as well, people get sick/go on holidays/equipment breaks. One time I was getting a new exhaust manifold made and it was behind time to which I thought "why so bloody long", turned out the guy cut himself up pretty bad on a job and had some serious damage done to his hand, in the end I got my manifold made and it exceeded my expectations. Patience is a virtue. Modified good-Standard bad
  11. Great idea mate, been to heaps for bikes and its all win, most of my tools Ive got from swap meets.
  12. You didnt see the aftermath of my little off at turn 1 at Wakie a couple of months ago, I was to fast and not in the best spot so thought I would get right up on the chicane (I ended up strattling it with the front on the dirt and rears on the track finally spinning like top and bringing the landscaping with me , the poor commondore following me had a nasty off because of me and the turn was covered in mud. Yes, I was king of the tards that day...... Nice project so far mate, should be full of RWD goodness.
  13. More boobs !
  14. And where are the new ones mate ? I got one of these for roughly the same price a while ago, its nice to know how fast your going down the main straight. Good luck with the sale.
  15. My gauge reads -20, my greedy elec boost thingie reads -99 (about -10 psi) but both read 16 psi on full boost. I think the - doesnt really matter but I could and have been wrong....
  16. I think youll find that the universe pretty much covers everything, shut up women get on my horse.
  17. The unshrouded pod will look hectic when the cops hear the fully induction noise, I would use the stock air box (modified) with a panel unless its physically impossible. Science and physics wins though Read this.. http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_1607/article.html http://www.autospeed.com/A_110281/cms/article.html
  18. Great cruise-great event, I also had to leave early but I could have drooled over some of those cars for hrs, so much time and effort in the 32GTRs, wish I had a GTR32 not a 33(gts-boat-t) now, JEBUS- The red one, the ADM one, uncle Duncs race car, I need to win lotto and have at least 3 of them, 1 race car-1 shinny big HP car and 1 overpowered skid machine for LOL. Never seen so many R32 GTRs in the one place, to the owners a big THANKYOU. On a side note I reacon I would look pretty good thrashing that R34 Z tune, nice car.....
  19. Come on guys, grow up, if you have bills pay them before there due, if you get booked for something you did just suck it up and dont do it again, lots of crying little children who cannot accept that they are idiots, go cry to your mother. Jebus.
  20. I like rain, it cleans my car.
  21. http://www.hyperflow.com.au/index.php?widg...id=HYAST-WRX001 I want something like this if its possible for my 33, I know this wouldnt fit in its current shape but a circular jobbie would fit between the pump and the top wouldnt it ? Photo from DIY here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/To...mp-t253097.html
  22. What he said, Im looking to upgrade fueling, but couldnt you add a surge tank in the mix, not many 1000hp street cars but lots of lower power cars that see the track/drags. I may buy something like this if it could eliminate surge and supply ample fuel and still be all hidden away in a tank.
  23. I dont think the police are hard enough on some people, now days people think they can get away with being fools because they cry havoc when the police arrive, imature babies with a chip on their shoulders need a good bashing. My mates a cop and he has been spat on, punched, threatened with knives (this guy is a good honest bloke who is trying to make a difference) but idiots think they are tough and cause trouble when in groups or on drugs, these same idiots cry like babies when you take it to them. The police stop junkies from robbing your wife, stop peados from getting your kids, and stop fools from killing people on the roads with their cars. I say good work coppers and keep up the good work. If you are causing trouble you deserve a good hard flogging.
  24. I loved watching the Dutch birds, nothing better than a blonde big boobied girl hanging out the top of a tank whilst she drives it around trying to look menacing, even war stops to watch..........
