  4. Ahhh, so its you hey, I seen this 32 sitting out the back of the workshop, though it was dumped so I stripped it, LOL. What was the verdict, piston ?

  6. UNIGROUP are getting a 25/30 with all the fruit built for me at the moment.
  7. Low is slow. Im following SK guidelines for ride height to a point, 355 from the guard to the center of the rim for the front and 345 at the rear, Bilsteins(adjustable with a circlip) with king springs, car handles like its on rails, heaps better than the old G4,s they replaced, you can hit bumps mid corner and the car just soaks it up and keeps on going, but then that is what suspension is meant to do. Have a look under any low high spec race car, lots more done than a cheesey set of coilovers, as Cas said its all about geometry. Also I LOL at all the cars zig zaging over speed humps, smashing front bars on driveways and making their car handle like crap by slamming their street cars. PS, I like jacked up 4x4,s, I had a Ford Bronco which was lifted, had a 351 auto, 3 inch single exhaust, the thing sounded like war and ate small hatch backs for breakfast.
  8. You had 2 options, One was get out of the idiots way, and it would have been sweet, or two, because you played on he hit your car, you then follow him and bash him, people have got to realise that if they ensue with sillybuggers then there may be consiquences for all concerned.
  9. Standard rebuild on the bottom end only if it really needs it(rings-bearings), If you buy a second hand motor it may not last that long, I mean how many RB,s are not thrashed, might cost a little more but for the peice of mind I would go with a rebuild. Your pistons-rods and other bolt-ons should be fine, did the water pump get replaced with the timing belt? Are you sure its the bottom end ??????
  10. I mask my lack of skills with more POWAHHHHHH.
  11. As long as its not like the new Autosports web site !!!!!!!!!!!!......Ill have a go at breaking it.

  13. Service it and dont run it to hard and it should run OK, its a old car and you will never get great economy out of it, also dont keep lots of rubbish in the car, every KG counts. Hope she enjoys her new ride and make sure she stays safe. http://www.ianluff.com.au/index.asp?pageid=36 or something simular.

  18. Yes I do have a chip on my shoulder, Im 45 yrs old, had my licence for 28 yrs, and see idiots driving every day, yes some are old/er drivers but most are young guys, I was the same when I was younger, full of test and thinking Im Alan Bond, we use to go out the back of the container terminals at Botany and drag race or do runs through Nasho, but after a couple of friends get killed you realise that you are not invincable or as good as you think you are. For the last 5 yrs Ive been a assistant driving instructor with my job, teaching everyting from C1 to HC, on road and off road. Im not saying that Im a better or worse driver than the general populace, but think about this, how many young guys you know have had accidents/been killed, then think about the older people people you know ? I LOL at some of the kids these day, but then they know more about everything and cannot be told. And the cops are just doing their job, if you dont like it catch a bus.
  19. Im out, I couldnt wait anylonger.
  20. In defence every time you get a new code you have to do a licence test, so far I have done 6 retests, initial test 1million years ago (1980) then Apr 03, Aug 04, Jun 07, Nov 07, Feb 08, Nov 08 and Ive got 100 % every time. All it takes is 1 or 2 hrs of looking over the road laws, if thats to hard then there is alot of really stupid people out there.
  21. In Sydney and in if it happens when Im in Sydney (work is the devil), been to a few different shops and they all give me different answers to my handling concerns with out really explaining to me the reasons. Also what type of set ups do you normaly do, street-track ? Does this include correct height adjustment and camber/toe and that other one that I can never remember but makes my tyres rub on the inner guards ? Only ask this as I am a novice at doing super sprints and also use my car as a weekend cruiser, tyre wear is not a issue as I run my stockers when cruising and only have my semis on at the track which is the only place the car really gets worked hard.
