  1. The missus works next to the Wolli Creek one, got a freebie a couple of weeks ago. Work permitting Ill be there. Fun x 11ty, epic slides
  2. Thought it would have seen some interest from Super Lap. My daughter wanted to know why there was a bag on the back of the car, I said it was for putting cake in.
  3. Very nice mate, keep the fab shoots coming.
  4. Sadly mate, evidence it is not, you would need to sample the fuel with the seller present, seal it in front of them, label-sign and seal with a tamper proof seal which is recorded on the paper work then send it for testing with people signing for it along the way. Ive had a fair bit of training on the collection of evidence, its extremely painful to collect evidence that will hold up legally. Its like they say in defense, is your arse isn't covered, its gonna get screwed.
  5. Keep cool guys, last time I got something from England it ended up coming by sea and took 3 months. Its a big company, so the goods will arrive sooner than later.
  6. Look into doing some track days/super sprints, ensure you prep your car (enough oils and fluids) and just take it as easy, feel comfortable with it and don't push too hard, go in the newb group and have ball. Its easy as and awesome fun.
  7. You need to turn them inside out so you can see the white lettering goodness. I like your attitude, Bloke "that exhaust is to big mate", You "no worries, Ill get a bigger motor"
  8. Sweet, GO BB, you going auto on it, a 2 speed Power Glide all stalled up would be heaven. Also some B F Goodrich Radial TAs would look sweet on those rims
  9. http://australianmusclecarsales.com.au/ Have a look at the cars that are making money, its CLASSIC NOT PLASTIC. What do the smart rich people collect, they don't stay rich by buying things that lose money (generally). If I wasn't using my car as a part time thrasher I wouldn't even have it, Its a cheap throw away toy. To me this is what this thread is about, quality 40yr old goodness which sells for 1/2 a Million Vs new cheap bang for buck which wont last another 20 yrs.
  10. Every thing new is rubbish, no investment value at all really, BUT, VW oval/split window Ford Cortina mk 1 or 2 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lotus_Cortina Lots of stuff out there you just need to look.
  11. Yes but that ADM will always be a better investment here in Aus (you just need the right buyer), the car has history and limited delivery, you can get JDM models for 10k now, there are 100s of the buggers to chose from , how many ADM are there for sale. If I had the money that would be the one I would get. A mate got a 34 GTR 2 yrs ago and was saying that its lost 25% of its value in that time, the reason is it has no history outside the tuner world. Dont get me wrong I love the 32 and 33 for there bang for buck goodness, but ifs not a ADM R32 GTR its just a good import. All I'm really trying to say is you can pick things that will hold or improve there value, yes there is still risk but if you research using existing trends you should be able to find something.
  12. Sorry for the misunderstanding, but, inherent means to me something that holds its value.
  13. How many 32-33-34 Skylines were made, you said you prefer to buy things that hold there value but you have a r34 GTR, I don't mean to be a smart arse but a investment it is not, that car is a classic low model number collectible, Look at XU1, A9X, GTHO, classic Australian cars with racing history, this is why a ADM R32 GTR holds there value. Just think, most of these cars that pull the big dollars cost around $5000 when new !
  14. What you need its different for every club/venue/organizers. As for cheap; Track day x 1 = $200ish entry+ fuel $???+ service $???+the car if you bin it I service my car after every track day, so, it costs me around $350 for a day-(entry/fuel/oils/fluids) + maybe retune, brake pads, new discs or anything else that goes bang. I got some Dunlop semi-slicks which cost around $500 a tyre, they have had 2 track days on them and have maybe another 4 or 5 left (maybe). The minister of war and finance has said I am not allowed to spend more than $5,000 per annum which means I can only really afford to track my car 6 times a year. You can do it cheaper so don't let me put you off, its the most fun you can have with your clothes on, this is just me saying to work out a budget before hand.
  15. Just a safety note guys, if you haven't worked on or fitted brake parts before make sure you get some professional help. Its not a hard job but done wrong you may end up in the sh1t. No point in upgrading your brakes and then not fitting or bleeding them right and doing damage, or worse still, crashing.

  17. Manual Gearbox: 2L (80w 90) or Castrol Castrol Syntrax 75W/90
  18. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chupacabra This is why I wont move down there, Its not just the goats that have to worry ............
  19. Think it cost around $1000. No pics as I payed for supply and fitting.
  20. UNIGROUP in NSW can get one made up for you, Im very happy with the one the fitted to mine. http://www.unigroup.com.au/Home.html
  21. Sad times people, be careful out there and look after each other. Mark
  22. Go to some race meets and try to buy the old tyres that get changed there, last time I was at Eastern Creek the Bridgestone truck had a pile of tyres some of which had a little life left,BUT, Dont you need drag radials not semis ?
  23. 32=Cheap old small (you dont fit in it)= NO 33=Cheap bigger oldish, find one with rebuild or minor mods, look inside guards for rudder, service history, does it look stockish or cop bait= Maybe (this is what I got but using hindsight I should have got a R32 GTR) 34=Not so cheap but good bang for your buck=Personally I don't like the shape of the body as much as 32s or 33s= Sounds like this is what you want. Remember if its just going to be a streeter do you want a 2 door or need a 4 door, My Coupes back seat didn't fit 3 kids, mainly the eldest she is 11 and hits the roof with her head. Buy a R32 GTR, put in some low rails so you fit, treat it nice, service it regularly (this is what I should have done,LOL) Just my 2 cents worth.
  24. http://www.bilstein.com.au/ Been told these are good, Im getting them at the end of the year.
