  1. STAGEA POWARRRRRRRRRRRRRR
  2. Don't break any rule, but interpret it "creatively", to a point, but there's a problem straight away, what I think is OK others may not, stupid rules are needed to keep people honest. BUT, if its a safety issue well that's another can of worms, sticking to the letter or interpreting may mean a compromise for the driver, crew and spectators safety, which is not really acceptable.
  3. Cooorrrrrr, love to rub some stuff all over that bit of old fluff.
  4. Get a shroud made up or buy one and cover the inside with that stuff they use for sound deading, Dynamat ??? I painted my shroud and whilst it was off the plumb back BOV noise was louder (BOOOOOSSSSSHHHHH-defect), put it back on and the noise wasn't as bad, I couldn't use the stock air box as its a high mount w/ aftermarket stuff and things.
  5. LOL, right, the intercooler/aftercooler is there to remove the heat from the compression of the intake charge that a turbo/supercharger makes. The N/A motor will draw ambient temperature air if it has a cold air intake or hotter air inside the engine bay if you run a unenclosed filter type set up (pod) as here is no compression of the intake charge. A N/A motor will always have a cooler intake charge than a Forced Induction system, unless its got a ice box or a NOS type cooling spray which is not really what were talking about. The intercooler/aftercooler on the N/A motor must/will restrict flow which will lower response and power. But it wouldn't be the first time physics and common sense has taken a back seat to some fully hectic ideas.
  6. I cannot answer how longer re-shimming would last but the larger axles and shafts means they are not going to break to easy, GTR shafts look much stronger than the GTS-T ones that came out, so the extra supporting mods was why I went the whole diff swap as apposed to just the center. Anyone got some info on this, circuit, drag stuff with grip tyres, see what happens when they are being used in high load applications.
  7. Got a GTR rear put in mine, yes the axles and half shafts need to be replaced, I got the whole rear replaced, was tightened up a bit but as it doubles as a streeter I didn't want it to tight, much better feel on the track with no spinning one wheel coming out of corners and very drivable on the street. Cost around $1500 for the supply and install.
  8. Car sounds horn Stuart
  9. Thought the 911 was the original Widow Maker due to the power and handling characteristics.
  10. Nice write up in the SSCC news letter Hollywood (Chris).
  11. Cold dense air = ALL GOOD
  12. What are you using the car for, I only ask this as Im unhappy with my outcome, I would rather more response than to a turbo that comes on late and hard, my set up is more suited to drag but I wanted track. The spool time is crap, its like waiting-waiting-waiting-wheel spin.
  13. So many haters with so little reason to hate, this has turned into a LOL at the hater thread.
  14. If you build it ,it will skid. Always wanted a rod, but a dirty rat rod, matte black and barely legal. Trying to convince the missus at the moment, I did have the go ahead but hesitated and now she thinks that we need something comfy for 2 adults and 3 kids which isn't to expensive to run. ZD/F Fairlane on gas ?
  15. If work isn't sticking a pineapple into my buttocks ill be there for sure, Hopefully Ill find out in time to reserve a spot, I would hate to miss out on this trackday if there was a chance I would be in the Sydney area. I like the fact that Wakefield has good run off and is one of the safer tracks around.
  16. Tuners Group, are they a registered trader ? they have a web site and seem to be a company ? http://www.tunersgroup.com/ Mods ?
  17. Put a cover over it and rig up a cold air intake to stop hot engine bay air entering your filter, hot air kills power.

  19. Can anyone tell me what is this thing? it doesn't look like a 2 piece that can be detachable. Take your quick release wheel off and put that on, It meant to stop people bringing a wheel with a quick release on it and stealing your car.
  20. I don't like many euro cars(not enough bang for my buck), BUT, any 911 is where its at in euro land, never driven one though. If you put a BB Chev & auto into a Jag I would like that alot.
  21. WARNING - I want stuff - and more wine, thanks, Mark..... Looking forward to getting it really, cooked my brakes pretty good at Eastern Creek, need bleed and pads but Im waiting till I get the new lines. Stuff rocks, and things are pretty good too. But stuff and things together are awesome.....!@#$%^&*()_[]\';,./<>?":{}|
  22. 1965 Chevrolet Impala Four Door Sedan Also do want this
  23. Yes mate but without the new style rims, gotta stay circa. Riviara-river-boat-lol-r33-LOL.......
  24. Ive had suspect fuel from Shell, I say suspect as with a top line synthetic 2 stock oil and 98 I get 60 kph from the scoota and when I got some 98 from Shell it wouldn't get past 55kph and was running rough from 50 kph, I replaced the plug with no change, I then drained the 5 ltrs of Shell 98 from it and put in some Caltex 98 and back to 60 kph we went. This probably happens often but you need something which needs the octane for performance to be able to tell. Ive also had fuel which has blocked my filters and needed to remove the tank to get all the sludge out, I though they had bloody filter system at the servo, apparently when it gets blocked it bypasses the filter to keep the flow (read dollars) going. I call shenanigans, Bastards.
  25. 1. Cars made before ULP and Cats are cool, albeit environmentally unfriendly. 2. EFI cars are not as collectable as Carbie cars. 3. I need to win LOTTO to pay the fuel bills of the cars I want.
