  1. Na sorry, didnt do any readings or pre -post tests, but the temp was better as I didnt burn my hand when I held the top pipe.
  2. Yeap, nothing like sucking hot air from your engine bay for performance gains Research what your after and work out how much you can afford then do more research into the mods you want/need and see if they will give you gains for your your $$$$ or if the money spent on useless/stupid mods could be spent on better things like quality tyres/brakes/suspension.
  3. Looks better than the tape with the tar backing I put on mine which took 3 days to get off. Use wire to secure the wrap or you can get stainless steel cable ties from a elec wholesaler, dont need the special tie gun, just pull em tight like normal ties then bend em till they snap, they look sweet and will take the heat and air turbulance. I had simular set up before I went forward facing plenum and after a while it started to tear up so I then covered joins with thin alloy sticky tape stuff which helped stop it from catching air.
  4. Suspension travel The severe handling vice of the TR3 and related cars was caused by running out of suspension travel. (See below.) Other vehicles will run out of suspension travel with some combination of bumps and turns, with similarly catastrophic effect. Excessively modified cars also may encounter this problem. This is what you referanced.^ Still relevant as the kits all sit at different heights, my 400R was 50mm of the ground which was getting cracked on bumps and such. So, in closing, get what you like but be carefull and dont whinge when you smash your nice new front bar because your car is set too low and hit that manhole cover, or you crashed after hitting a bump mid corner and went into the gutter. Low is slow.
  5. Yes please, Whats the reason, explain this science, we are talking about road going cars that hit the track as well, yes ? My car handles much better since Ive raised it up to SKs recomendations, Have I imagined this ?
  6. On topic- Red Baron Imports, got my 1986 GSX-R 1100 from them. Off topic- My scoota uses $3.00 a week in fuel to get me to work whereas my GSX-R 1100 slabie would use $25.00 and wouldn't even be warmed up when I shut it down after the 10 min ride. Scoota,s are great for short trips, but if your on it for more than 20 Min's it gets a bit painful (my epic ride on a 50cc scoota to Texi confirmed this). If I need a bike to commute further I would look into a Motard, great vision and more maneuverable than a road/sports bike.
  7. I was under the impression that they are more accurate than rollers, Anyone ?
  8. Yeah, I know for a fact that doesnt make a car go quick, lol, Just get that oil issue fixed and don't rev the guts out of it and it should last. I recon you'll like a (low - medium) boosted turbs more than a NA, unless its a V8, remember its not how many kiilerwasps you have, its set up and driver.(damn you Chubbs and your 65kw car,LOL.)
  9. Nice car man.
  10. Working hard I see mate,LOL. That track is pure horn.
  11. YEAH MATTY, rip some skids and shit. You are a old skool rev head, If you build it it will skid.
  12. Bit harsh on a newb with 10 posts to his name. All depends on what your after, how much you want to spend and how long you can wait. The good importers call give you a rough dollar figure for what your after, match that to a local car price and you've got your answer. Do a search like "how much did it cost to import", that should give you lots of threads to look through.
  13. OK prove me wrong that having your suspension set so it works correctly is wrong and the geometrical alignment don't count.
  14. Learn that your car handles better when its at a correct height for performance not looks.
  15. Put your credit card against your leg, is it touching your leg, has it cut your leg. Do you use M8 bolts to go onto a M6 nut, of course not, you use the correct size. Ive connected up my shift light recently in 20 seconds, that included wrapping the connection in insulation tape, and, there is no drop in volts from the ECU to the light. Ive used these for 20 odd years and if you do the job correctly you wont have any problems.
  16. Yes, Its a PENN Steel Tip Pro 7001 hybrid matched to a PENN 950SSm Power Drag
  17. These join every phone line cable in NSW, look inside those cylindrical junction boxes and you will see hundreds of them, Ive used them on and of for the last 20 yrs and had no problems.
  18. These do not cut the wire, only the insulation, remember to wrap insulation tap around it to ensure security.
  19. Stock now, had 400R front bar but fibreglass kept cracking on steep driveways and such, raised the car up to handle better on the track so maybe it wouldn't break every day now, only every other day.................... I like the stock kit (doesn't look like speed racer or FnF wanna be), plus the plastic is alot more forgiving. Yes, I am a boring old bastard.
  20. Silver R33 GTS-Ts are the super happy fun cars. Disclaimer: Me owning a Silver R33 GTS-T super happy fun car has no way influenced my view. I LIKE BOATS
  21. LOL, Bumper cars.
  22. You can pick up some sweet almost new rear mufflers to suit your application form exhaust shops/wreckers, lots of people upgrade their exhaust and leave the old stuff behind, A rear of any newish Nissan turbo should suit (R34) or a 6 cyl Ford or Holden.
