  1. Nope, I has blower, so I don't need no stinking turbos
  2. The Cruise Ship is in dry dock (Autotech) It has developed a knock in the steering, mainly on right handers, I had a look, got the shits rolling around on my back under the car without finding what is was, so sent it to Autotech so they can put it up in the air and have a good look around, I'm guessing its a rack bush While it is there I've asked them to do the front main seal, which currently losses oil at the rate of about 1 drop per week, which is annoying.....so.......seeing though the harmonic balancer needs to be pulled.....I've asked them to fit a Melling 10296 high volume pump, because.......why not
  3. I don't think there is such a thing as a pled shit box GTS-t anymore, especially yours, sure, they were 1 step down the ladder from a GTR, and they "were" treated like a red headed step child for a while, and alot were trashed because of it, but really nowadays, a mint looking well sorted one like yours isn't that far away performance wise, apart from no AWD Sure, it won't pull drug money like a GTR at resale, but resale is something that I personally never take into consideration I rate my cars from the drivers seat, and from looking back at it when I'm walking away, and I personally prefer to look back at a classic looking car than some new flashy car, like the new WRX STI that I bought, after a while, every time I looked back at it, all I saw was something that looked like a new Kia, or Mazda, just another 4 door grocery getter sedan, to the point of when I was looking at it all I thought was WTF, why did I buy that soulless thing And yes, I know, I bought the biggest fattest bogan 4 door grocery getter that was ever made in Australia, but strangley it tickles my old nether regions when I look at it, but that may be because I was brought up with V8 Commodores, Falcons, and Toranas, and the circle of life has me in one again Will a BMW tickle your nether regions in 5 years, if the answer is yes then sell the Skyline Just remember that senario in 5 years time, because after the BMW depreciates, the money you get for it will never get you back into a nice clean classic JDM car like the one you currently own Treat it nice, give it a boot now and then, and just enjoy it.....or don't......😝
  4. Remember reading on here when the Nissan GTR was released, alot of people sold their R34 GTR's and got the new and improved Nissan GTR, then, had buyers remorse, and wanted their R34 GTR back Buyers remorse meets sellers remorse 🥴
  5. WTF, how did that even happen Meh, more parts at the wreckers or gumtree for me to browse through And the more that get written of the more mine goes up in price, and for a Commodore, that is weird, but true
  6. I find it hard to believe it was purchased for $10k, I assume he missed a zero or something
  7. I've got alot of warm bike gear that can deal with the cold, and for the wet I've got good wets and warm waterproof boots I'll will still be on leave next week, and I'm hoping that after hanging out with the daughter for a few days I'll go for an inland adventure, possibly to Walgett, then along the Gwyder into Grafton then the A1 into Coffs, it's a great ride on the bike
  8. Whilst I'm playing around with the car it would be unfair not to play around with the bike My right heal would get rather toasty sitting next to the exhaust, even though it does have a shield, so, some heat wrap under the sheilding was called for, you cannot even really see it which is nice I'm riding to Goulburn tomorrow so it should cure well and stop smoking by........ Marulan........ Just need to give the bike a clean, to ensure it rains today, and not tomorrow....
  9. I'm really happy with the car as it stands, the MPH shows hows that the car is making good power, but with the limiting factor of traction on the dig I did umm and arr about drag racials, but I cannot really justify purchasing drag radials and rims to get a better ET, which like you said, would just sit a around for most of the time, the old girl was built to be a fun cruiser with some poke, not a drag car When the RaceTCS gets hooked up I'll have another go and see how that goes IRT improving my traction on launch, my vision is a fast street car than I can drive up and down the coast in, and have a little fun with on the odd occasion, without worrying about needing to swap to drag radials to do it I am happy to run the R888R rubber on the rear though, so far they are lasting really well, they have run up and down to Goulburn, Canberra, and Coffs Harbour a few times, and are just as good, if not better than the Hankook RS4's in the wet, and they have done alot of driving around in the wet, I'm hoping to get 10-15k km out of a set doing street duties
  10. Just mashing and pedalling it I've still haven't had the RaceTCS fitted yet though, once that is installed it should knock some time off my 60' Even 2 seconds flat on the 60' should get me into the 11's I'm thinking The big old girl feels really good
  11. Pretty happy with the criise ship, apart from a shitty 60' from lots of wheel spin
  12. Waiting.......... And the line is the same behind me Passenger runs have been allowed for a while, ET and MPH is the limiting factor
  13. Going to WSID tonight with the boy for some passenger runs Not going for gold, I'm going to leave easy with some minor mechanical sympathy In other news, I have the local tilt tray guys number on speed dial 🤣
  14. Embossed aluminium sheild and some lead protection Fitting anything on LS1 headers when they are on the car is overly painfull, but Done and dusted Next......
  15. Have you ever stepped on Lego? That stuff is dangerous and I won't have it anywhere near me Plus cars and motorbikes are like Meccano and Lego for adults
  16. Found my next pointless mod Purchased a RU-3130 for $50 with a 3.5" flange, LOL, I said flange.... > Plus some composite sheet and pinchweld to look like > Why, maybe more induction noise, and a day of making templates, drinking beer and possibly even some wrinkle coat paint splashed about
  17. I asked about this when Autotech put the blower on, this is the way Harrop has the installation, the drivers rear breather is plugged, the passenger rear breather goes to a PCV valve then the intake, the front drivers fresh air is still there plumbed in to the intake as well I asked about if it would restrict the flow, both Harrop and Autotech said it was fine and a single 3/8" line is more than enough, because thats what it basically has stock, well, my rear main is still where it is meant to be, and the dip stick stays in its tube The standard valve cover vents go from 2 x 3/8 to 1 x 3/8 line with a PCV valve into the TB Because I'm bored and want to play around, plus they have heat shields standard I assume an engineer smarter than me thought it was a good idea, and it got past the people holding the purse strings, so they thought it was necessary as well I asked myself "why do OEM exhaust manifolds all have heat sheild, and why does nearly every modified car doesn't have one" My conclusion for OEM was the smarter than me engineer senario above For the modified cars, my conclusion was it doesn't add HP for the money and time, so alot people don't bother, until they melt wiring or other stuff Meh, I've got a heap of the sheilding for a few attempts, worse case senario is I hate it and start looking at V4.0, or, some other random thing that the voices in my head think is a good idea......... (I wonder what a 4" exhaust would sound like compared to the current 3.5" single ?????)
  18. Grabbed 2 meters of 3/8" line from Peps to match up all my PCV lines It did have 3 different brands of lines, some OEM, some from the blower install, some from Peps Did I need to do it, like nearly always, nope, no real need or benefit from doing it, it was purely a visual want In other news I all the bits and pieces to fit up the heat sheilds, I've taken some leave next week so I can do it slowly and hopefully I'm happy with the end result, so far my "cunning plan" looks good....in my head... 🤔🤯
  19. Sound waves are like shock waves, they will just "climb over" any wall you throw up Mufflers, Db restrictions and no external gates are the way of the future if you want to keep it under control Local council doesn't care about the pittance of funds that come into the are from track days, opening up blocks that they can get a yearly rate from is more beneficial to them The only saving grace would be that the land in close proximity be only opened as commercial, but that will not happen Local commercial businesses are struggling in Goulburn and Braidwood, so there is no point in opening up more, halfway between there and nowhere Unless you open up a exhaust shop inside the track maybe......nope
