Horray New blinker stalk = fixed cruise control You cannot have a cruise ship without auto-pilot And....as the #Bogancruiseship has a tow ball, I can now find a real project Maybe a motorbike for something different, and cheap (ish) -
Now that will be a unicorn. I went looking for a clean unmolested S chassis and the only clean low km ones were $30k. Most of them look bent, abused, neglected or modified to within a inch of their life. There was one red S15 which was like new for $30k, which by the way, is what I should have got instead of the 86. Edit: https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2001-Nissan-200SX-Spec-S-S15-Manual/SSE-AD-6384247/ this looks nice, I believe this exact car, or one blinding close, minus mods, was for sale for $30k 5 years ago.

LOL, it actually has quite a bit, BUT, if I follow my drills and use PPE I'll be fine. The car boot is full of hand sanitiser, black latex gloves, P2 masks and a good folding chair for when I need to wait somewhere, you need to be comfortable when sitting in the sun watching "Fringe" for hours on end during the apocalypse. Those new Hankook tyres are damn good as well. In other news: I'm thinking of swapping the middle 2 mufflers for some "cherry bombs". I think the car needs more "loud and obnoxious". -

New shoes are on, 275 on the rear are #verysortofflush Also stopped at Strathfield car audio to see about replacing the stereo. f**k it, that pioneer thing will do, the guy is installing it as I type. To all audiophiles, as long as I can play the Cramps, the Misfits, some Leonard Cohen and can find ABC classic radio I'm fine. The headunit is mainly for Google maps and the phone. -

The shift kit will have it hit the limiter in 3rd, is that the same as locked up? Paul said he just ran it up in 3rd (1:1?) and checked fueling, which was slightly rich, he said he could spend some time advancing the timing a bit to get a little more, but that it's not really cost effective to retune it for a small gain. I think it will stay like this. It's a comfy cruiser. I will wait for the apocalypse to finish then look at something "more sporty" then. Or, buy a 5.0 Mustang and blow it, maybe???? I'm f**king hopeless. -

In other, non-witchcraft related news...I have some Hankook Ventus S1 EVO 3 tyres getting fitted tomorrow. 245/35 19 and 275/30 19, should grip better than the current Achilles rubbish. -

Yeah, that's the plan. Need better tyres than the Achilles that are currently on it though. Whilst mashing the pedal and doing mad skids is fun, having some form of traction would be preferable. Currently the thing spins at the drop of a hat. In saying that it hasn't had a wheel alignment yet, so there's that, the tyres seem to using all the tread though. Meh In other news, I'm loving your build thread, I'm looking forward to seeing how your engine goes. -

That's probably more realistic, my butt dyno has been calibrated using American specifications. -

The light on the dash doesn't turn on, I'm thinking it is a fault code or the button/switch/plug on the blinker stalk. I do have a MAF fault code, because of MAFLESS tune, I'm not doing anything until Pulse has a look and see if they can permanently remove the fault code. Hopefully that fixes the issue, next would be replace the stalk. -

I'm guessing it's around there. Possibly nearer to 210 because it's a auto? Maybe? Thursday will reveal all. -

Swapped the fuel filter today. Pulled fuel pump relay thing - check Ran the car till it stalled - check Did it some more until the car wouldn't start - check Unclipped the fuel line from the filter out - check Small amount of fuel came out - check Unclipped the fuel line in - check Proceeded to get covered in fuel - check About 100ml of fuel went up my nose, in my ear and all down the side of my face. It also managed to miss the oil pan I had under it. Everytime I do a fuel filter I manage to make a mess. Car is all ready for Pulse to check the tune on Thursday. In other news: My adjustable camber bushings arrived, I am still waiting on the delivery of the subframe bushings though. Once they arrive I will send the car to JAX for an alignment. If anyone wants the Simmons rims, 19 x 8.5 and 19 x 9.5 I'm open to swaps for mint VX SS 17 x 8 rims. -

Transgo stage 2 shift kit is in and the transmission serviced. The shift kit was worth every cent, on the gas the shifts are quick, real quick, spins second and chirps 3rd (tyres are 265/30 19 Achilles, so that might have something to do with it having no grip). The car is booked into Pulse next week for a look at the tune, not that I can tell that anything is wrong, the old girl goes good. -
I believe it has to do with government subsidies IRT "renewables", most cars ran/run fine on a 10% blend, this gives the illusion that we are pushing alternate fuel sources, without really going all in. I believe E85 in the US was readily available due to big subsidies and a big environmental push, recently though ethanol production looks like it has taken a massive hit and production is slowing. The focus on electric vehicles has taken precedence over liquid renewables. Another issue with ethanol is it uses land that could be used for food crops. Corn syrup is the devil....the devil I tells ya......yada yada yada....conspiracy this, multinational that....

They get $4 a litre (average) for it when they turn it into coke. If you could stop everyone from trying to get diabetes by not eating and drinking sugar based products like softdrinks and all the added sugar in processed food there may be financial reasons for the big companies to push ethanol, but, we are all fat sugar crazed monsters. Sugar is the devil......yada yada yada....conspiracy this, multinational that....

Finally removed the roof "antenna", 15 seconds with some fishing line, 30 minutes cleaning off the crap, then some polish and wax. Why..becauae people are f**king idiots... -
As we export about 80% of our sugar production there is no profitable marketing reason to manufacturer ethanol for a major fuel source. It will always be a niche market whilst there is more money in export. Sad, but true. In saying that, I've been buying 98 for 0.99c over the last week of the apocalypse.

New FE2 height springs and shocks are in. Raised the car about 30mm. Rear now is 360mm, front 370mm. All set for some Dukes of Hazard shit. One of the old Sachs dampers on the back was shot. Car drives nice and straight on the throttle and on the brakes. I had a rough go at getting the alignment sorted, it is pretty close, but will see JAX at Liverpool soon. I've got some camber bushings, some rear subframe bushings and a diff insert coming (next week), I'll get the alignment done after sticking them in. Also flushed the power steering. It's a super comfortable, virus free, old bogan cruise ship. Things that I'm planning on outsourcing: 1. Trans service with Transgo HD2 shift kit (service because it is due, shift kit for the LOLS). 2. Dyno time and tweek for 98 if required. 3. Auto elec to sort out cruise control, I've checked fuses, unpluged and replugged everything, I'm tapping out and sending it off to a professional. The thing is running pretty hard and nice and smooth, sounds the business on full throttle, looking forward to getting the shift kit in. STRAYA, f**k YEAH Edit: Check out the racing spec tow ball, #becausebogancruiseshipf**kyeah -

My favorite bit is it is parked in a disabled spot -
I'm 55 and an ex smoker, so I don't want it. More importantly though, I have alot of elderly relatives and other family members with young children, plus a few with asthma. So, by restricting my activities, I reduce the risk of bringing this to my "circle of trust". I acknowledge it's hard to change habits, I'm lucky due to my job, I can go months without seeing my family face to face, and am use to training with limited equipment and space. But if you stay positive it isn't really that much of a issue. Facetime, whatsapp and such helps. Moreso I believe is working out your fitness regime with limited on hand equipment. But again, if you put you mind to it there is alot of bodyweight exercises that can work both strenght and cardio. I'm doing alot of you tubing, watching hot chicks doing pilates and Yoga and circuits.
