Should I sell my Skyline for a 4wd
The Bogan replied to Blakeo's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Toyota are old tech and expensive for what you get, Isuzu look and feel cheap, we have them at work. Me, if I needed a Ute a BT-50 or Triton, maybe, with a canopy for sure. It also depends on how hard you are going of road, do you need comfort, kids in the back?, friends or relatives in the back? Then there's all the SUV 7 seaters, or the Landcruiser series. Petrol? Diesel? Towing? Nm? Support? Fuel economy? My Mrs keeps pointing at them, sensible cars she calls them. Picking one is so far the hardest pick of my life. If I did get one it would need to be able to tow a loaded up car trailer with ease. I do like the Ford Raptor, well it looks the business anyway, I would never really need all that capabilty though. Then there is always Ram 2500 if you want to go bigger -
I wouldn't really touch the current engine, unless it is to service. The most I would do is OEM header back exhaust, I wouldn't even bother tuning it. I would do brakes, suspension, bushings and major servicing. Refurbish the OEM rims, get some good rubber. There are a heap of modifed old Skylines, not so many clean un-munted ones though. I wish I still had my old mint stock 31 wagon.

In the late 90's I had VS S ute, 5ltr manual with chasers and Yokamaha Y352 (yeap, white lettering out), lowered on King springs, Hurricane headers and a straight 3" exhaust, it was all that was bogan. Slow as fark, but sounded good and done good skids, ahhh, memories....... I'll shut up now

Yeah nah, I had a 33, no interest in dropping cash on another. A 5.0 Mustang would fit the bill, maybe, but Ford, and I would feel like a maaaaad bogan, but, a clean low km one for $50k, then $17k for drive in drive out supercharger which gives 500 engine killerwasps, which should do good skids. $67 well spent? Who cares, maaaad skidz. I would of course need to buy a flanno and ugg boots.

Rural people who shoot foxes, dogs and other ferals to protect their land I have no issues with, they usually have a few different types of weapons for different occasions, I have no issues with that. It's the yobbos with multiple weapons that cause the issues. It's like they are compensating for their massive insecurity. They talk about hunting but never hunt, they talk about self defence, but they end up shooting members of their family, their kids shoot themselves, or, the weapons are stolen. Yeah, I hate guns in the hands of the average Joe bogan racist idiot......I'll stop spraying now

My old boat with 700nm and drag radials would kill a box to quick. It basically chewed the surface off the gears turning the gearboxs into a screaming banshee

Is there fluid in that puppy? From googling it could be contaminated power steering fluid, flush it and see... BTW, that's freaking awesome -
I would just have the S as "becauseracecar" for abusive track fun, and the 33 as a clean streeter that lives in the garage and comes out only on the occasional weekend. And I would pick one, and finish that first, me, I would just get the GTR working first, at least that way, in a worse case senario, you can sell it and not lose a ton of cash. Actually, I would try to keep the GTR as close to stock(ish) and unmolested as possible, you have the S for a race car with holes and shit. But then, I am old and boring now.

Sold I might buy some whiskey for my hair..... -
I've been there and done that, are you new here mate. If you have spent that much on your fuel system you are a fool. I'm sure the "mega don" workshop rub their hands together when you call or walk in the door. As for the "don mega workshop", I can do better fab work myself, I really hope you have a plan for cleaning up the drift spec installation. Anyways, keep dropping the cash mate, I enjoy rhe laugh. It's like you are trying to devalue the car. Maybe you need to spend a bit more time researching and less paying people to do stuff. Anyways, that's way too much time filling up this good thread with stuff which I wouldn't even bother posting in your, sorry Mr Pipe, sometimes.........I just cannot help myself.

Wow, that poor R33 GTR. Fat's stance build has more though put in to aesthetics, and safety. Mean while Project Le Siet Bok seems like it will be doing skids real soon.

Super happy fun slide price. Your OEM front pipe + $100 for X Force 2.5" 100cell front pipe and 2.5" resonated cat back. Super happy price $200 for X Force 2.5" 100cell front pipe and 2.5" resonated cat back. Super duper price -
Post a slip or two. Did you play with your pressures. Those tyres are shit though. Was 104 mph the best, what weight is your car? If your around 1550kg with your 104 mph you are around 220kw and 13.6 ish. Service car, get some better tyres and go again, but, 13.5 is about it I'm a guessing. Currently my NA 2.0 86 is 0.1 sec quicker than your turbo 2.5.

Will take a $100 off the price if you can supply good OEM front pipe, will take $250 off if you can supply a whole OEM exhaust system (Front pipe back). Must be in good order. Basically your OEM exhaust + $50 for X Force 2.5" 100cell front pipe and 2.5" resonated cat back. Bargain.
