MLR's 86 not a build thread thread
The Bogan replied to The Bogan's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
And.....the diff support brace is....out. Whilst it was good at its job, it was way to noisy, where I had no real increase in NVH from the subframe bushing inserts, the brace had "all of them". As the car is a daily hack, the constant whining, vibration and clunks, which initially didn't bother me, ended up being a PITA. "BECAUSENOTRACECAR" It is now sitting in the bottom draw of my tool box, if I ever get to a khana or something I'll put it back on, it only takes about 5 minutes. Or..... I might end up getting the whiteline inserts. Like sands through the hour glass, so are the days of our lives.........f**k -

So, I went to work, hosed down the yard and did some skids, damn it, still hopping, not as bad but still, so.......went for a drive and hit some corners, I "think" I can feel a difference in and out of the corners from the bushing insertsinthe subframe, so it wasn't a total loss. Driving home went past Just Jap and spent $80. Lets see how this goes. I cannot believe I'm going to this trouble just so I can do mad skids when it's raining. -

Video, LOL, a picture is possible, I know how to take and post pictures. Video on the other hand, that requires mad youtube accounts skill and shit, of which, I have none Either Mexico, or at work. SAUNSW needs to do a Khana so I can do skids and run over cones. -

It rained, attempted to do mad skids, some where had, lower rpm saw mad axle tramp. Now has subframe inserts installed (yeah I like pineapples), found some 1/2 price, sweet. Surprisingly quite, in the 33 and MX5 the NVH from pineapples was much more noticable. Need to test with some mad skids. -
Will you two dickheads, Rubber cock and Bukkake racer, lay off your fan boy shit, the guy has just purchased a car he likes and the first thing you do is knock it because its not a GTR. Grow up. If you choose to reply to me do it by PM, don't fill the thread with your self righteous vomit. OP, if you wish to have your thread cleaned of non relevant posts, like this, contact a admin, they can clean it up for you. There are a few tools on this forum, you now have met them both.

Why do people hate the R33?

Because the 32 was the car that owned the mountain, the reporters called it "Godzilla" because it was a giant (V8) killer. What has the 33 or 34 done that equates to that. Why is a XY GT HO worth the money it gets, Bathurst history. I could name a heap of other cars with mototsport history that bring in the dollars, but I won't. Yes the 33 and 34 are famous because of F&F, yes the yanks love that shit, but long term, IMO the cars are topping out, some, like that low Klm GTR may hold some value if they are stored, but, IMO from following the car scene and what brings in the dollars, the average 33 and 34 will take a fall. People buying up average condition cars thinking they are an investment are, again, from watching the market over the last 20 odd years, dreaming. As for how they look, they are all dated, but I like the 32 the best, that's my opinion, you like the 33, thats your opinion, some people only like the 34, some people, like me, think the 35 looks like the boss and walks over everything before it. Am I wrong, is my opinion wrong? From reading your previous replies, I would hazard to guess that you would tell me my opinion is wrong. Anyways, it's always a pleasure reading your replies -

It's like a couple of kids discovering bro love and kool aid. "True racebred king" = R32 The 33 and 34 are riding on its coat tails, IMO Keep up the good work, and......go -

A plus for the FD is it has aged well, even with those pop up headlights, much better than most 90's cars anyway, yes, I'm looking at you 33. Post pics or the FD is a Hyundai Excel -

Not what I would call reliable, or cheap to fix. I did the Rotory thing years ago, IMO they are fine for a car that comes out every month or two, and you treat it nice, but if you use it regularly, and use it hard, headaches will ensue. They also LOVE fuel -

For such a little bit of exhaust it was a bit of a PITA. I've never had to lift a engine, albeit only about 1", to fit an exhaust. Anyways, the OEM pipe was rubbish. -

If I wanted something like that, which I don't, the Toyota C-HR would be my pick. The Juke might have more performance but at least with the C-HR I wouldn't vomit when I looked at it. It looks like Renault and Mini (BMW) had drunk sex and this was the offspring. Plus TRD make big plastic exterior stuff if you like brand name plastic. -
