Also comes with a Torx t70 socket for draining the gearbox, all drivetrain oils, front diff/gearbox and rear diff were changed at 15k km using Penrite full synth. Engine oil, Nulon full synth 0W40, and filter changed every 5k km. Brake fluid had 2 full flushes, one at 5k km, the other at 20k km. Full lip kit. Car cover. The Blackvue duel cameras also have a battery saver wired it, all professionally installed. If you have a shop where you want it inspected on a hoist I can go for that as long as its not to far away and work permits, Pulse Racing and GEM are close to me, all at your cost of course.

Thanks mate, I've been a bit disconnected from the performance world, there's lots of talk on the interwebs about water injection but I feel with SAU I can rely on correct unbiased information.
-
Are people still utilising water injection. I used the available information to work out injector sizing, as I will only be using water it worked out to be 175ml/min. The total cost of purchasing the kit, instalation and tuning should be around $2000 (rough guesstimate). Compared to E85, which I find logistically hard to get and 3 times the cost to install and tune, it seems like a viable option for some small gains and added insurance for a relatively small outlay. Car is a 15 STI with basic bolt ons making around 200 kw on ECUTEK. It will be set to start at around 5 psi and full at max (around 20). The boxers don't play well with heat from my understanding and pumping in a small amount of water should be beneficial. Any inrormation in relation to my points or theories are most welcome. Finding a tuner who is "full bottle" (pun intended) is also required, a few places seem to only want to do flex and are attempting to steer me away from water injection, I like Pulse and will need to talk to them more, or maybe UNIGROUP, although it's been years since I've dealt with them and I am unsure on their opinions or experience with water injection. Thanks.

SAUNSW x Just Engine Management Tech Night wrap up thread
The Bogan replied to MrFijiGold's topic in Events
Nice pic, it looks like the topic was interesting as usual because everyone has their thinking face on, or was the conversation about the dark art of tuning and everyone has their, "I haven't got a clue what he is talking about but if I don't break eye contact he won't ask me a question" face on, or is that just me... Wish I was in NSW, for this. -

Dang, working in Queensland is the arse, these tech nights are brilliant, always lots of good info and people to bounce ideas off. Ogling all the shiny go fast cars and the banter will be truly missed. -
Most GP's I've found are rubbish, they will look at you and give you a script for painkillers or antibiotics. Ask them anything which actually requires a diagnosis and they refer you to a specialist. GP's are people who are almost smart enough to be a registered nurse.

From the doctor, if you have no kidney issues or dont have family with kidney issues you "should" be fine. https://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/health/conditionsandtreatments/kidneys-nephrotic-syndrome As I said, I had no idea that my kidneys weren't happy, the doc said I was lucky because of the testing I was having for the arthritis meds. As for research, I believe most, if not all research in the supplement world is bias, the manufacturer or suppliers rarely say the supps they are pushing could be bad for you, and as for the so called independent testing, who paid for the testing and who did the testing, usually not alot of separation. Creatine, I believe, has had the most research of anything supplement related, Ive found a few articles that have stated not to use it if you are susceptible to kidney problems. Most people find out they are susceptible to kidney problems when the symptoms get bad. The creatine apparently doesnt damage your kidneys, but once the kidneys start playing up the creatine makes it worse, some how. I recommend getting a blood test to anyone now, I hear too often stories about "fit and healthy people" dropping dead. There was a story a while ago in relation to all the bodybuilders from the 80's and 90's dropping dead, mainly heart attacks and renal failure, most likely from roids but really, who knows. https://www.t-nation.com/pharma/big-dead-bodybuilders

On and off for 15 years.

Thread revival So, Im having regular blood tests because Im on methotrexate for arthritis, seems creatine was playing havoc with my kidneys, stopped creatine and now kidneys are better. Dose was 5g daily. Kidney function was at 65%, steadily rising and now at 85% with the only change of stopping creatine. All other results are fine. From the doc, she said some people cannot tolerate creatine, the only way to find out is through multiple blood and urine tests. I did not have any side effects from the lower kidney function, doc said sometimes there are no symptoms, one day your kidneys can just say "thanks for coming, were out of here".

Shannons wanted 2.5k for my15 sti with basic mods, Im 51, clean licence, no accidents. I declined. -
Sadly as work is the devil and I'm in bloody Queensland with work I missed out, seems like not too many people use there cars, makes Mark sad that all the high powered cars that people talk about don't get to stretch their legs. Good work to the people who had a go, respect.

Sweet. Nothing to the drags if you use a small amount of mechanical sympathy. Don't be the guy who says he has 11ty7 killerwasps without actually running it, mph doesn't lie. Hell, if your scared of breaking something dont launch hard, just do a normal take off and run it through the gears, you will still get a good mph. Me, something in the 13 seconds area and I'm happy.
