Safe Speeding - Is There Such A Thing?
The Bogan replied to No Crust Racing's topic in General Automotive Discussion
MLR, 50 Safe speeding, yes and no. There are to many variables to say yes or no as a definitive answer, druggies, drunks, kids, animals, trucks, weather, idiots, pushbikes, motorbikes, road conditions including surface type (on camber/off camber/crossfall) and/or contaminates (diesel/water/loose surface/pot holes/oil). Not to mention the idiots who enter a corner to hot and cannot stay in their lane, this can be a issue if you to are pushing your car through a corner with minimal fudge factor, keep a eye out at the local twisties for car and bike parts on the side of the road. Me, I like to give it a squirt now and then, rarely floor it though, and I try and stick to the speed limit and constantly scan the road surroundings and surface, I've still been rear ended when stopped at lights and have had a few close calls due to evading wayward idiots who think they are awesome or just not paying attention. In the end if you want to go fast there is only 1 place to do it and its at the track, at least that way if you do, f**k up or have a mechanical failure that puts you in a wall or on your roof its hopefully just you that will wear the hurt. Track days can be the most fun you can have with your pants on but can get expensive, drag days are cheap, and at a drag day you can find out how slow you really are..... From my experience most people who speed around the streets get rather upset when they find out how slow they really are at a track or how slow their "high performance" car really is. OR, their to POV to afford a few dollars (they can of course spend money on useless modifications and stickers). Disclaimer: needing to speed is a personal choice not something you need to do, if you have to speed to get somewhere on time then your personal administration is flawed, hopefully you only end up with a ticket and not some toe tags. On a final note: If I'm overtaking you on your left, your in the wrong lane. -

But seriously, I'm a big fan of Nick Caves "Kicking against the pricks".

Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your asshole. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.

Duncan's Race Car - The Most Overdue Build Thread On Sau
The Bogan replied to Duncan's topic in Motorsport Builds
I will continue to lurk and will (work permitting) come and see this puppy in the flesh at a local track, ensure you post up dates for events mate. Good work from Neil with the assist. Good work from you with the loaded invites. Rock and Roll -
My back has been feeling OK lately so I've added squats back into my training again, I've also swapped out my accessories for more basic stuff, I'm on my second month of it and so far so good. Benching more than I squat is arse at the moment but as long as I take it slow it will progress nicely. Its still based on 531 by Jim Wendler which is a simple and effective program which is easy to use.

My legs haven't hurt like this since GVT. Ill stop bitching like a girl now.

Obviously your mate didn't research his items. Any way, spend your money they way you want, me, I'll look around and find people who have purchased the items I'm looking at and make my derision from that. Hopefully the OP can he some quality parts that can make power and save money building his GTST. As for where I got my IC, Just Jap. -

Not so many Jap parts that come with the "made in japan" label on them, lots of big name performance part suppliers are using China, Korea and Taiwan to fabricate their parts. Hell, even the big OEM brands are getting their parts made outside Japan, Nissan uses South Korea plants who do Hyundai, Toyota too I think. Its not like when the low quality parts flooded the market 10 years ago, yes there is some rubbish out there but there is also lots of unbranded parts which have yet had their "big dollar brand name" painted on them. It all comes down to QA and pricing. There's money to be saved I've your a smart shopper and research. Disclaimer: A $100 IC will most likely be rubbish but a IC which has the engineering and QA behind it may cost $250, after getting GREEDY painted on it $???. Again my $250 IC loved 500hp, was not a restriction and was still efficient. Haters gotta hate. Smart people research. -

First I've heard of one failing. Bit like my Jap manifold cracking. -

Nothing wrong with some China parts, my old china IC was fine for 500hp and my Fenix radiator never had a issue. If you need to have brand names on everything then fill your boots, but if you are just hunting power not brand names there are some cheaper options out there which will do the same job at 1/4 the price. Do your research on each part and how they will all work together. China, Taiwan and some other nations supply to Japan which then just clean them up and relabel them. I found it cheaper to get my exhaust manifold custom made in Australia when I was looking for a strong as steam pipe jobbie. Also look at the US for parts as its usually cheaper to import parts than purchase local. Then do a skid. -

Don't spend money on stupid things that just empty your pocket. From my experience to much money is wasted on things that do little to nothing, the term "bang for your buck" comes to mind. A good ecu and safe tune is paramount. Do some searching, have a budget and speak to some local shops and tuners. Have you upgraded your brakes and suspension, do you have good quality sticky tyres. UNIGROUP ENGINEERING is good Sydney shop and Yavus will not lead you astray. -
Ended up dropping 4ish kg, will see what its done to my strength during next weeks program.

My body hasn't stopped flushing out for 5 days now, put something in, wait 20 minutes and out it comes. The only keeping me sane and hydrated is the hydration salts that I'm chugging through. As for eating, nothing spends enough time in the gut to be of any real benefit. I am averaging 1 roll of TP for my bung hole every day. Will throw myself on the scale this arvo to review the damage.

Gastro can EAD, over the last 4 days I have survived on about 5 peices of toast and a box of ORS. I dare say if you are pushed for weight loss gastro might meet your weight loss needs, you don't even need to leave the security of your bath room. Did I mention that gastro can EAD.
