  1. Heavy C&P ended up knocking my wrists around, I found replacing barbell with dumbbells was alot easier on them, plus switching from elastic wrist wraps to boxing wraps, the cloth type, eliviated to issue altogether. I have structured in 10 x 3 alternating 1 arm DB C&P into my program now with good results, no more wrist or shoulder pain either. Flat bench still aggravates my shoulders though, a slight incline on the bench helps alot though. Disclaimer: I'm 52 now and my joints are screwed up due to arthritis.
  2. Thread needs more clean and press.
  3. I may be interested in a mint original AUD S15 with cash my way. Minor mods are good but...... Disclaimer: No pi gs, no respays, no 400hp fully dayglow spec with body kits, no prior accident repairs. I will have it checked out with a fine tooth comb. I have been looking around lately at S15's, I want a good one though, and by good I mean mint, the better the car the less cash my way. Example: I missed out one 2 years ago, it had 4k original km on it and it sold for 28k. Both cars will end up at a local shop for inspection, Pulse Racing is close to me.
  4. The ECUTEK has RACEROM, the rev match is enabled (I am really bad at heel toe) this does it for you. Also has flat foot shifting enabled ( ECUTEK uses both fuel cut and ignition retard working together), if it was just fuel cut I wouldnt use it, I like my pistons, if it was just ignition I wouldn't use it as I like my turbo. It has launch control, but this feature has never been enabled.
  5. Yeah nah. Been there, done that.
  6. $38,000 firm Seems like no one is looking for one, the cars on the for sale web sites don't seem to be moving to quick either, even though mine is in better condition, has all the good bits and is priced more competitively for a quick sale. The car has had over 10k$ in quality mods. Stock STI's aren't that impressive, but once you free up the inlet and exhaust, give the rubbish OEM tune a tweek, they really wake up. As for the tune, I told Paul from Pulse Racing to give it all the good bits, but to ensure the car is 100% reliable as a daily, it's making just over 200kwatw which he said was the happy place for longevity, the also recommend and supplied all parts, except for the GFB BOV, that was all me, the BOV is the respons type, so it's manually ajustable from closed all the way to full VTA for hectic Pttsssss goodness for when I'm feeling silly, currently set at about 30% VTA, so it's only slightly hectic at the moment. If it doesn't sell for 38k I'm keeping it and buying a beater so the kids can be my personal Uber. Thanks for the comments.
  7. $38,500. Best value for money VA STI on the market. Coming up to 35k km, so, It's getting engine oil and filter done this week. More Nulon 0w40 goodness.
  8. Thanks guys, I built it to be fun and reliable. I'm after something else to play with now as the kids have just got their licences I don't need 4 doors and 5 seats, plus as the car is restricted the kids cannot taxi me around after I have had a beverage or two. I need something fun but also p plate friendly, hence the MX5, "again".
  9. Small price drop $38,750. I will put it up on carsales next week when I get some good photos done.
  10. Filled it up with fuel
  11. Also comes with a Torx t70 socket for draining the gearbox, all drivetrain oils, front diff/gearbox and rear diff were changed at 15k km using Penrite full synth. Engine oil, Nulon full synth 0W40, and filter changed every 5k km. Brake fluid had 2 full flushes, one at 5k km, the other at 20k km. Full lip kit. Car cover. The Blackvue duel cameras also have a battery saver wired it, all professionally installed. If you have a shop where you want it inspected on a hoist I can go for that as long as its not to far away and work permits, Pulse Racing and GEM are close to me, all at your cost of course.

  13. Thanks mate, I've been a bit disconnected from the performance world, there's lots of talk on the interwebs about water injection but I feel with SAU I can rely on correct unbiased information.
  14. Are people still utilising water injection. I used the available information to work out injector sizing, as I will only be using water it worked out to be 175ml/min. The total cost of purchasing the kit, instalation and tuning should be around $2000 (rough guesstimate). Compared to E85, which I find logistically hard to get and 3 times the cost to install and tune, it seems like a viable option for some small gains and added insurance for a relatively small outlay. Car is a 15 STI with basic bolt ons making around 200 kw on ECUTEK. It will be set to start at around 5 psi and full at max (around 20). The boxers don't play well with heat from my understanding and pumping in a small amount of water should be beneficial. Any inrormation in relation to my points or theories are most welcome. Finding a tuner who is "full bottle" (pun intended) is also required, a few places seem to only want to do flex and are attempting to steer me away from water injection, I like Pulse and will need to talk to them more, or maybe UNIGROUP, although it's been years since I've dealt with them and I am unsure on their opinions or experience with water injection. Thanks.
  15. Nice pic, it looks like the topic was interesting as usual because everyone has their thinking face on, or was the conversation about the dark art of tuning and everyone has their, "I haven't got a clue what he is talking about but if I don't break eye contact he won't ask me a question" face on, or is that just me... Wish I was in NSW, for this.
  16. Dang, working in Queensland is the arse, these tech nights are brilliant, always lots of good info and people to bounce ideas off. Ogling all the shiny go fast cars and the banter will be truly missed.
  17. Most GP's I've found are rubbish, they will look at you and give you a script for painkillers or antibiotics. Ask them anything which actually requires a diagnosis and they refer you to a specialist. GP's are people who are almost smart enough to be a registered nurse.
