  1. GdayI picked up a 17 LE to get back into a light(ish) RWD platform.Im keeping it stock......soooSo far I have replaced the Michelins with some Hankook RS4's, 215/45 17, I'm keeping the OEM rims, from my experience at picking the brains of some of the guys at local tracks, any bigger and the extra weight is a big down side, hell the car would need alot more balls to overpower the little 215's RS4's anyways.I put on a X Force cat back so I can at least hear the engine, that added a massive 0% increase in performance, as expected, and only a very slight increase in noise, nothing like what expected from the sound clips on the X Force site, I believe what they advertise as a cat back is in fact a header back, or, headers and full exhaust. So, I added the header back front pipe, it's still pretty quite, the stock cat in the header and the high flow cat in the front pipe keeps alot of the noise down, still sounds nothing like the cat back sound clip. So, I may get catless headers...Also got some camber bolts, maxed them out to get a disappointing -0.5, so much for the advertised +/- 0.75.As for the future, it's staying NA, I've had my share of breaking modified cars with turbo's.I'm getting a tune, mainly for cleaning up the OEM tune, and the Racerom features that are available with ECUTEK, I am a massive fan of the rev match feature, I'm rubbish at heel toe.I will most likely get the header prior to the tune, that should at least get me the sound I want, hell, isn't that what tax returns are for.Apart from that it's now looking like alot more parts to get the alignment settings I want, everything I require is in the whiteline catalog, the OEM adjustability is rubbish.I'm liking the OEM shocks and dampers on the LE, and the Brembo's are excellent, sadly as I've stated the OEM adjustability is the only real let down.As for the elephant in the room, power wise it wouldn't pull the skin off custard, but that's not the point of it for me.I'm more interested in making it handle, it's the twisties where the real fun is.It is always fun when you grab a new platform, looking at all the things that make them go, corner and stop.Oh, and all the stupid things people do, and their outrageous claims, are also a interesting read.Anyways, I babbled on enoughEnjoy
  2. Camber bolts only gave me -0.5 with them maxed out, rears are -1.3 L and 0.97 R (not adjustable). I'll try some 14mm lower camber bolts for the front and see where that puts it, if all else fails I will grab some strut tops as well, I will grab some adjustable arms for the rear.
  3. So far so good, I replaced the Michelins with some RS4's today, should be good once they are scrubbed in, I had some RS3's on my MX5 and liked them alot. In the couple of days I've had it I'm loving it, even with the crappy Michelins it was a hoot, it's good to be back in a light(ish) RWD platform. Power wise it wouldn't pull the skin of custard, but that not the point of it, or why I got it. Wringing its neck, throwing it into a corner, playing with some oversteer is so much fun. I also grabbed a cat back for it, a XForce 2.5" jobbie, sounds alot better, well you can hear it now anyway, with the stock cat back I couldn't even hear the exhaust, I estimate the power increase from the cat back is an astonishing 0%. So, for future mods, some alignment bolts from whiteline are on the cards, stock camber adjustments are non existent, apart from toe, stock camber is 0.0 deg, I'm going to hammer some corners and see what the tyres are saying and dial some in from there. Cheers
  4. I would get it inspected, see what they say, if it is ok and the repair was carried out correctly I would add the report into the for sale thread, you will lose out a bit, but how much are your used parts worth anyway. The NRMA do these inspections I believe, I have no idea of the cost though.
  5. The car is now on carsales for $37500 ono.
  6. The bikies want to steal your Harley, the junkies want your jet ski, dead shits want to steal your car. Good for keeping the missus in the kitchen.........................Disclaimer: Chaining your lovely wife in the kitchen is frowned upon buy the law, or so I have been told... Hell you can also use it to secure your favorite garden gnome, or dog, this is legal I believe. If you grab this you can foil their evil plans. Just saying.
  7. Thanks for the email Your car looks sweet but sadly not what I am after. I wish you luck with your sale. Cheers
  8. Shoot me a email with some more info and pics mate. How much do you think the S2000 is worth realistically.
  9. Got all the gear, new boots are on my radar though. I'm liking the A* shorties, just under $200, protection where I need it and pretty comfy too. Big plus is they are OK for walking around in, my current boots, which have seen better days, are rubbish for walking anymore than 10 meters in.
  10. Sold Yes, for asking price Now what will I spend it on???? Thanks for looking
  11. Oh yeah, someone buy the 250R please.
  12. So much better than running out of fuel and fumbling for the pet cock, LOL, I said cock. I'm also coming to terms with the ZX6R fuel warning light, I am on its first tank of fuel, I keep waiting for it to come on, and quietly hoping the globe isn't blown.
  13. I looked on bikesales for the cheapest one and went $100 less. Hopefully a quick sale. I'm going to put it on bike sales tomorrow, hopefully it's gone this week.

  15. Kryptonite strong hold security anchor New in box, the box is a bit ratty from long storage but never opened $50 no offers, pick up at Holsworthy, 2173.
  16. Heavy C&P ended up knocking my wrists around, I found replacing barbell with dumbbells was alot easier on them, plus switching from elastic wrist wraps to boxing wraps, the cloth type, eliviated to issue altogether. I have structured in 10 x 3 alternating 1 arm DB C&P into my program now with good results, no more wrist or shoulder pain either. Flat bench still aggravates my shoulders though, a slight incline on the bench helps alot though. Disclaimer: I'm 52 now and my joints are screwed up due to arthritis.
  17. Thread needs more clean and press.
  18. I may be interested in a mint original AUD S15 with cash my way. Minor mods are good but...... Disclaimer: No pi gs, no respays, no 400hp fully dayglow spec with body kits, no prior accident repairs. I will have it checked out with a fine tooth comb. I have been looking around lately at S15's, I want a good one though, and by good I mean mint, the better the car the less cash my way. Example: I missed out one 2 years ago, it had 4k original km on it and it sold for 28k. Both cars will end up at a local shop for inspection, Pulse Racing is close to me.
  19. The ECUTEK has RACEROM, the rev match is enabled (I am really bad at heel toe) this does it for you. Also has flat foot shifting enabled ( ECUTEK uses both fuel cut and ignition retard working together), if it was just fuel cut I wouldnt use it, I like my pistons, if it was just ignition I wouldn't use it as I like my turbo. It has launch control, but this feature has never been enabled.
