  1. I am cutting out the low rep stuff for a while as I have been getting reoccurring back pain from a old injury (dehydrated discs). German volume training here I come again.
  2. Not 100% sure with the Muller vent so got this: And new discs and pads. Im taking some long service leave soon so I should be able to fill in some time fitting and chopping stuff.
  3. There are lots of little 4 banger pocket rockets out there with good fuel economy, the daily doesn't have to be a boring boat. They don't even need a lot of power, the little 5 has about 7hp but handles better than any car I have owned. I actually prefer driving it over my old 500hp Skyline which I used for daily, drag and track duties. I would love a newish 86 with some handling mods for the daily shuffle and weekend fun, cheap to run, fun around the track and burbs and doesn't break or send you broke on parts.
  4. I will never daily a boring car again, you only live once, why have a sporty car sitting in the garage, they are not investments, all it is doing is losing money. My 2 cents is buy the sportiest car you can afford and drive the pants off it. I like cars and I like driving to much to sit in some POS and be a commuter.
  5. After lots of looking around at different styles and theories I decided to get a MULLER vent to put on the roof. Slim line jobbie. Hopefully this will help keep the cab temp down a bit, got back to the car after the beach and it was like driving home in a sauna. Will post up pics when its painted and fitted. Worst case scenario is a screw the hardtop and need to get a new one, I will be doing lots of measuring and minimal amounts of cutting. I use to do this sort of fab work for a living 1 million years ago, surely I haven't lost all my hacking stuff up skills. Fingers crossed. In relation to my servicing kit, I got Gates timing belt, all runners, gaskets, seals, jap water pump and cam cover gasket for $200 delivered from MX5 PLUS in Queensland, $100 cheaper than pick up in Sydney, LOL.
  6. If you can carry you shopping your not buying enough food. If you cannot carry your shopping your not lifting enough. And go.
  7. Another ghetto air box, I think I'm up to version 5 now. Also some CG Locks for both seats, no where as good as a harness but legal, they do lock your hips well into the seat though. Its also coming up for a major service so its time for a new timing belt, runners, gaskets, seals and water pump. I may pull the head for a shave to bump up the comp a little bit when doing the belt but not sure and still asking questions. Was quoted just under $300 for all major service parts, mechanic neighbour is doing the job for a couple of hundred and some beer, my job is to pass tools and keep the beer flowing.
  8. Purchased the WALKMAN W273S head set to belt out aggressive tunes to myself whilst training and swimming. Excellent for only $70, really light and secure even doing wild out of control last sets of sleds. Haven't swam in them yet but I did shower in them which was interesting.
  9. Post some pics ya bastards please
  10. That was a mixed bag. In the end motorsport won.
  11. Its sad because the rest of the track seems to be holding out, one bad section on the biggest Motorsport day is not good. Reminds me of the story of Alan the goat f**ker, you only need to screw one goat to get a bad name. Disclaimer. Names have been changed to protect the guilty.
  12. Poor mix laid down, it will only get worse, I would hate to be the company that laid it down. Should make it interesting with all he differnt lines that will be taken as it gets worse. The drivers will be able to drive around the conditions.
  13. Is the surface sheeting or just breaking up. You cannot fix the surface in a hour you idiots, keep racing you idiots. I call shenanigans.
  14. CAS was changed, hmmm, how is the earth connection at the chassis and on the block, I had trouble with my old one, as it heated up it would lose contact.
  15. What about overlap, from my understanding the overlap is just as important as lift and duration.
  16. Fingers crossed, the motorsport gods have been angry and thus I have not had any car fun lately, if all goes well and the stars align I shall be there with bells on. And its OK for the skids from this end as the MX5 cannot do epic helis.
  17. Its OK, we can forgive him, he is from Can Berra
  18. I will defiantly be stopping creatine when I'm trying to get to my weight class (<80kg) for my next attempt at the comp board at work. Last time I dropped about 5kg in a week, the only change was no creatine. I hold a heap of water when I take it. I take 5g per day as I feel it helps me with recovery. I use the cheapest one I can find, ATM Bulk Nutrients get my vote for everything except multivitamins as I get them cheaper elsewhere.
  19. Comes with universal adjustable rail and all nuts, bolts and washers.
  20. Is placebo rage a recognized condition. On topic, when people deload do they come back stronger. I feel that I do, anyone else.
  21. Pick up only $150 No offers PM me Near Liverpool Purchased for MX5 but its about 10mm to big to fit.
