If it wasn't for the Hype and support from companies that have a financial interest most supplements wouldn't make it off the shelves. As for protein loading. From my research and personal experience here is some stuff to mull over and critique. Have your high protein diet for 3 weeks, then cut out all of your extra protein supps for 1 week (I do this on my deload week), then after that week go back to your high protein diet. The idea is your body is use to high protein, then it get gets starved for it, then it gets it again, your body then goes into starvation mode and stores the extra protein in your body, rinse and repeat. I've read that people cycle their protein and do 6 on 1 off or other combos. The science behind it is from AIDS and cancer patients that needed to keep adding weight, they used the old bad diet routine of how people diet for 3 weeks good then lose it for a week and end up gaining weight in the long run. But then I'm $ure that the $upplement companie$ know what they are doing. Hmmm, reminds me of "Power thirst".

Well, I am on course ATM and my old mate Turtle is on the same course, so as you do we became training partners to incite some friendly competition and controlled rage. After weights we have decided to throw in some light conditioning to keep the heart rate up, at be beginning of this week we decided to throw in some mouth guards, put on the gloves and proceed to punch each other in and around the head and body. What a great way to finish a work out, the ring is a indoor basket ball court and it beats sitting on a bike or rower for 20 minutes, and its functional. Funny thing is I keep thinking of the saying "the older I get, the better I was". Its like a old comedy, two blokes shaping up, circling each other like sharks and throwing some punches for a while till one of us hits the other, which is then followed by apologises then more punching. I have found it to be very hard work to punch your mate in the face whilst laughing hysterically. I highly recommend adding this form of conditioning into your sessions. Disclaimer: You will bleed, but the fun is worth it.

No "juicing" where I am.And juicing doesn't keep you at the top of your game,it might get you some results that you lose just as quick as they came. Gym is free, food is cheap, life is good.

Cheers mate, I'll be back at 17 next year fighting for a rack in the Hols gym. How's your training going, my cardio has suffered badly over the last 3 months. Sort of not looking forward to lots of running again, apparently that's all they do for pt.

And I've missed out on more motorsport than I care to think about, either work or family commitments have spoilt my "selfish me time". At least I get to watch some live at Muscle Car Masters this Sunday. I am actually looking forward to doing a hill climb (Huntley) for the first time. I'm just waiting for the stars to align, or when I win LOTTO and can retire and live the life I should be accustomed to.. -
Don't they come standard with a CAI. If yours doesn't have one then I would chase a standard one down and use a OEM filter. Modifying a N/A to get some power is a futile effort unless you are willing to spend 10's of thousands of dollars to get 100kw of extra power. You can make it sound better with a pod, it may either make the same power, or, most likely less power though. Its all basic science and physics.

Not really, but then maybe I haven't been noticing. It did have some witness marks inside the front guards though so I had run out of travel on a few occasions. -

Raised car a bit, hub to guard is 325 front and 330 rear. Clearance is 110mm so legal too which is a bonus. -

Take 2 Cleaned with wax and grease remover then sanded, then again with wax and grease remover, then with some brake cleaner, then painted with VHT MANIFOLD PAINT, then cured with a heat gun stuck up the collector, then wrapped. 1" wrap on primaries 2" on secondaries with 50% overlap, I then sprayed with more VHT. Fitted and run at idle to smoke like 10 smoking things (which is normal after wrapping), let cool than went for a 1/2 hr spin. Hopefully finished this time. -
Funny story. It was leg day today, started of with some bar warm ups then proceeded to follow my program and add weight as programed, weight felt heavy, I'm thinking its going to be one of them days, on about the fourth set I just manage to bust out 5 reps for 140. Looking at my program I still had another 2 sets to go, a 5 x 152.5 and a 5 x 162.5, WTF....I thought I had deloaded. I then put my glasses on and seen I was halfway through my Deadlift routine. Note to self. Use larger font when printing program.

Iggy Pop Because I have "Lust for Life" And yes, I am hypnotizing chickens.

A overhead shoulder press is done standing, the weight is pressed without any leg movement and is finished with the weight overhead and your head "out the window. But then my weight routine really only focus on strength training really not body building.

Double post. I've got a good rep and % calculator off the interwebs that I'll post if you want it.

BW 80kg 166 cm, Mil press once a week, 1rm with perfect form is 80kg 10 x 20kg (bar) Then 7 sets of 5 reps from 55% 1rm to 85% 1rm. Then alternating dumdbell presses 3 x 10 Then lat raise 3 x 10 Then bent lat raise 3 x 10 Finish the day with some high pulls 3 reps about 5 sets. I have just gone through a deload of about 10% of my 1rm as I had some time off and my joints were getting sore. It will set me back a while but I needed to do it.

The car is noisy as it is, if it was just a track car I would do it but I enjoy going for long cruises, any more noise than what's going on at the moment is a non no. The 5 is noisier than my old stripped out boat, it also has about 320 less killerwasps than he boat, I am enjoying it more than the old boat though. Mainly because it hasn't broken yet. -
I never look in the mirror, there is some old guy with grey hair always looking back, if I don't make eye contact he might go away.

googling found this, just need to get some cardboard and knock up a template and get some alloy or poly sheet. Luckily I have no stupid AC or PS to get in the way. -

It seems that scuffing and cleaning with grease and wax remover isn't enough for the VHT manifold paint to be happy enough to stick to the headers. I blame the blue paint stuff that the headers were coated with from new, I shall leave it for a while and hope that the heat gets rid of it, then Ill remove them and prep them again and hope it sticks. I might go for a long drive and find some twisties to get some heat in them. The headers have also made the car a fair bit louder too, I believe I may be the oldest ricer in NSW. Oh, and like usual the straight swap "bolt on headers" needed to be shortened and the flange clocked for them to fit.
