Unbelievable! Went for a drive this morning and got knock readings of 75 and 121 while giving it a squirt in 1st and 2nd!!! Just driving normal im getting readings up to 30.So after matthew Spry adjusted the base timing it was good for a couple of weeks and gradually got worse.Really getting frustrated.

Yeh changed it yesterday and seemed as thick as i would expect.Like u said, oil pressure was good the whole time i had it in the engine for 5000kms.Maybe its just doing a good job of removing contaminates to look so shagged.I really want to stick to a 10W40 as i think this is a good viscosity for our engines so im just seeing if there is anything in this price range thats better.A lot of people rate 4100 turbolite so i would like to know whether this so called penrite full synthetic is as good as the Motul.As for the price,i still paid around the $50 mark or else i would have gone something else.

Hi all,i am about to get a forward facing plenum installed on my R33.It has an adapter plate to fit the standard throttle body but i am considering going a 80mm TB.Would this have any gains with a stock series 2 turbo or only when putting a larger turbo on?

Hey all.I am currently using Penrite 10W 40 full synthetic.Seems to be ok.Decent price.Do you think Motul 4100 turbolite is better, worse, or about on par with this oil?I change my oil every 5000 kms and most of this is highway driving.

I think the only way a R33 looks good without a wing is to put a boot lid on that sits flush with the rear guards.Other wise it looks like you had a crash and couldn't. source a wing in time for the panel beater

Just got back from seeing Matthew Spry.He got the timing light out out and adjusted my CAS.He said it was out bugger all but all is fixed now.A Big thanks to Matthew and thank you to everyone who replied on this topic!

Don't know mate.I rang the workshop and he called my tuner Matt Spry who said to bring it down it wont take long to fix but when i called him to make a time he was pretty busy and didnt know when he could fit me in

Hey guys.I had my R33 with power fc and basic mods tuned about 25000klms ago.Everything was fine for this time.I had my 100000km service done last week and ever since i get pretty high knock reading on both normal driving and when i give it a bootfull.The engine feels and sounds better than it ever has before.When giving it a bootfull it will read between 70 and 100 on the knock reading every time and when driving around normal i will get readings of up to 50.Can any one enlighten me as to what may be wrong please.This car is my daily and i have to travel about 90kms a day so i dont want to damage it!

Hey guys, wanting to buy a powersteering pump for r33 skyline

Hi all.Had my 100k service done yesterday and all the sudden the powersteering is leaking like a sieve.Before the service i never had a drop of oil under my car in the garage in the 16 months i have owned it.I had the workshop change all the ancillary belts as well as the timing belt,water pump,bearings etc.Could they have done something wrong to cause this or is it an amazing coincidence?Does anyone have a powersteering pump in good condition they want to sell?
