The 5 dB was just a rough estimate.Just say for example it was 5dB, how much louder do you reckon it will be without the mid muffler?Cheers

OK.Did the decat pipe experiment.Noticed a little increase in performance.The exhaust note was maybe 5 decibels louder but had an awesome throaty sound when on boost,absolutely loved it.Did notice how noxious the fumes were though,so after 2 days of driving i put the cat back on.I've decided instead of getting rid of the cat i'm going to get rid of the mid muffler.The kakimoto exhaust i have has the big oval muffler at the back and between that and the mid muffler i can hardly hear the exhaust!Cheers for all the input and replies fellas.

Yeh,this happened to me as well a while back.Never figured out how to fix it. That was using mozilla firefox.Doesnt do it on internet explorer or google chrome web browser

Hey turbz,my exhaust that i just replaced on my R33 was like that.Sound awesome while giving a bootfull but for driving around normally it would get a little loud and irritating.A little bit drony on highway when accelerating a little in 5th.Having said that i actually miss the tough sound she used to put out!I put on a 3 inch kakimoto exhaust and she is a little too quiet now.It almost sound stock unless your hammering it.Would love to have something in between the two.But if your not carrying two kids in the back like i am and in your mid thirties you will probably love it.Have fun man.

Yeh, mine does it also.I think someone else on here said its some kind of solinoid for the climate control.Turn it off next time and see if it is still doing it.

yes,all power fc's for RB 25 work for both series one and series 2.Doesnt matter whether it has RB25DET or ECR33 on the unit,it will work on both series.Went through this with sau myself when i bought mine.

I am buying a hks2530 next week on the basis that i want to have response.I currently have 250rwhp with standard turbo,walbro fuel pump,front mount,11 psi, power fc.Have been told response from 2530 is even better than stock turbo.A bit sceptical about that but will let you know once it is installed and tuned.Main reason i am going for this turbo is for the fact that it will have stuff all lag and i can boost it to 16 psi without it blowing.

Do you think these guys will ever offer coilpacks for series 2 R33's or do you think its a bit out of their capabilities?I've held off getting new ones for a couple of months now on the basis that they said they would be releasing some "in a couple of weeks".This was about 8 weeks ago.I'm talking about performance wise by the way.

They dont make any difference in performance,they just last about about three times longer than coppers. If you dont like getting your hands in the engine bay very often they are definately worth it.

So what day is cruise cause i live on the coast as well but i work pretty much every sunday but have the 17th off due to holidays.See heaps of liners on the coast as well.Parked next to one in helensvale plaza car park last night on the way home from work.Number plate was QKR-33 i think.Moroon,Gavin Wood auto tech sticker on the back window.Some skyline owners aknkowledge with a wave others seem to have tunnel vision and most R32 drivers just give a look of disdain.Not all mind you,just some.
