Went and bought some more Sougi s600 from the distributor on the gold coast yesterday and was asking him about the situation on the cease of manufacturing of this product. He rang GW headquarters while i was ther and asked them a few questions. 1.Are they still making s6000? They replied :no 2.What do they offer as an alternative:Syn x 3000 3.How would it compare to s6000 as it is only a group3 :They put us through to the chemist for this one and he fully believes that it is every bit as good if not better than the s6000 because of the additives.Although it does not have the esters they have put other stuff in that does as good a job.He also pointed out that the syn x is an SM classed oil and s6000 is only an SL. So after all that i still purchased 2 bottles of S6000 as im still pretty sceptical about using a group 3.Damn frustrated and confused.

Apexi 53b70 Turbo.
Get EPIC replied to flame_this's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I have one of these turbos and it is awsome.I just don't understand what rear housing size it is.Like you can get a garret 3076r in .63 or .82 if you want more top end power,so what would this turbo be? -
Am looking at getting a new panel filter for my stock air box on my 33 and was wanting to know which of these 3 is the best overall if anyone has experience with them. Apexi,Blitz,or Impul.

Nazi lover! He is just unlucky to have a decent team mate.

Laggy? Not at all. To make full boost by 82kmph in 4th is awesome.Perfect turbo for the street. If you sort out your boost dropping off at high rpm you will have the perfect street turbo in my opinion!

Pull Or Push Type Clutch
Get EPIC replied to Get EPIC's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
hey, well you're doing the clutch so ill let you look .after all, you were driving it when it started shitting itself on saturday morning -
Hi guys,i have a series 2 R33 which used to be an auto.It had the conversion done in Japan. So how do i tell if it has a pull or push type clutch?Need to know as the clutch is starting to slip.Cheers
-
I've been told by a reputable workshop on the gold coast that exedy don't make clutches to the same standards that they used to and that you should seriously consider buying a Jim Berry clutch if you don't want disappointments down the road.

Change to sougi s6000 a few week ago and it has to be the best ive used to date. Thanks Kong. The oil pressure is slightly higher fom the time i put it in and has remained consistent even after my re-tune with new turbo.Every other oil i have used seemed to be really good for about a week and go backto the same pressure an old oil would after a couple weeks of driving.I'm going back next week and getting a couple more bottles and if it dries up im going to royal purple 10w40.I didn't like the motul 8100 excess. The car just felt really rough to my ears with it in when i used it.

Car is now boosting alot earlier due to finding a couple of boost leaks. One was found by myself which was an intercooler pipe joiner being loose and the other one was found by Daniel at Elite Racing developements when i took it to him this morning.Car feels much livelier and more like i anticipated when buying the turbo. After the leak was fixed we took it for a drive and the clutch didn't like the extra torque and started to shit itself. So one problem fixed and one to fix as soon as possible. All in all very happy! As for what Rad32 said about a steel wheel version i think it might be cause my mechanic said that the compressor wheel had markings on it which were still quite fresh which indicated it had recently been rebuilt and balanced. But i wont be able to test its limits until i can afford to put bigger injectors and AFM on it.So thanks to every one for their input in helping me with my teething problems as i wouldn't have known where to look without this forum.Thumbs up to SAU.

would the actuators you sell be suitable?
-
Tell me about it.I mean all i wanted was a nice responsive turbo.I just hope its either the actuator or the boost controller.Im stuck with it now so i just gotta do what i can.
-
does anybody else think this is the problem?
-
How does that work?
-
It's funny how every workshop that i talk to deny that it would be the actuator, even though i have told them that other people with this turbo have had actuator problems. Some say that its a bigger turbo so its gonna be laggier than stock. And i point out to them that its as laggy as a 3540 and if it was so big it wouldn't take 16 psi to make 300rwhp.Then there is : i reckon your cat is blocked, but i have a test pipe on it (decat) until i get the issue sorted. So i've tried shortening the actuator rod and it feels a bit more responsive but boost just keeps climbing the higher the revs go,even with the boost tee turned all the way down.Havent had a chance to talk to MTQ yet as i work through their business hours and they dont have any wastegates on their website unless i'm looking in the wrong place.Any help on finding an actuator that will do the job would be appreciated.Cheers

If webber gets to the first corner in front, they won't catch him.He is the in form driver at this point in the season. The europeans and south americans must hate him so much.It makes me want to dance a jig!!!!! It's just like soccer-they think we are hopeless but they all hate playing us because they are scared they will lose.Bring on the world cup! we may not win it but we can ruffle some pompous feathers.Yeah!!!
-
So what was the new actuator you put on and where can i get one,if you don't mind me asking?
-
Thank you Paul
-
So would shortening the length of the actuator rod bring on boost faster or slower or neither?
-
Thanks for that mate.I just had a crack at it and all the sudden when it came on boost i heard a loud pop and the car died on me.Started it back up but wouldnt idle.I thought-oh no ive blown something.Got out and looked around the engine bay and found an intercooler pipe joiner had popped off! I think i have just found my culprit with the boost problem.I believe its been leaking at high pressure for quite some time.Haven't taken it for a test drive to test the actuator again yet,i'm changing my undies from when i shit myself when i thought i had blown the turbo or something
