Would the boost tee be responsible for it being laggy or more likely the wastegate actuator? I noticed that the mechanic hooked up the boost tee to a nipple on the elbow of the turbo where as before it used to go to the intake manifold.Would that make any difference?

Actuator is adjustable,so i'll have my tuner have a look at it.

Hi all.I just put a AX53b70-25 turbo on my car and had it tuned.Made 299.2 rwhp on 16psi but i reckon boost comes on later than it should.I have attached a photo of the dyno sheet.Im thinking it may be an actuator problem as it doesnt seem to hold boost very well up top as seen in the dyno sheet.

Thanks.I actually only needed the grommet.Got one from Nissan for the beautiful price of $20. they never even offered to lube me up first,but i still took it .

Hi there! Do stock camshafts have marking on them.I mean as in they look like they have been written by hand with some sort of paint?I took my cam cover off today and saw writing on the driver side cam shaft(intake?).

Need a PC valve for my RB25 As mine snapped off in the cam cover when i went to pull it out to clean it.Had to take the rocker cover off to get out the bit that snapped off .Use the car every day to get to work so need it ASAP.Also getting a new turbo put in this week and getting it tuned on Thursday so really need it guys.Cheers.

Hey guys,i need a pc valve urgently as mine broke where it sits in the cam cover.Happened when i took it out to clean it.Had to take the bloody cam cover off to get it out!I'm on the gold coast so has to be some one close.Cheers

I did. I'm not sure if it's necessary ,but i went fom a return flow cooler with original plenum to a standard front mount with a forward facing plenum and i gained 13 rwhp up top.Made more power down low until 4100rpm.Then made less power until 5100rpm.After that it just pulled better nicely til 7200rpm where as before that it stopped rising in power at about 6700rpm.

When i replaced my stock airbox with a pod, i randomly got high knock readings.It wasn't until i got it retuned when i put a different plenum on it that the problem was fixed.

how much for the chrome cam covers?

Hi all.I am about to put a apexi ax53b70p25 turbo on my 33 with a tomei fuel reg.Cant afford new injectors or afm for at least another year due to having a mortgage and two infants.Do you reckon ill see any improvevement over my current setup of stock turbo,powerfc,front mount,fuel pump,etc.Currently running 260hp at the rears on 12 psi.I kmow the turbo will thrive on bigger injectors and a z32 afm but it is not an option at this point in time.

Mine made 195kw on stock turbo on a dyno that is said to read low compared to some. Some engines tend to be freaks so you never know

I'm putting the very same turbo on my 33 in about 2 weeks time with a tomei fuel reg.I'll let you know how it goes.I plan on putting a z32 afm and bigger injectors on it in the future but i just can't afford it right now.I'm afraid that if i try to wait and save the extra money needed,the turbo will never go on the engine due to some unforeseen circumstance.I have the money now to put it on and get it tuned but it would probably be another 6 months if i saved for the injectors and afm.
