  1. point was having the cars all sitting there in a show and shine makes it so much easier for the cops to rock up and hand out defects as quick as they can write them. And they're a Lot more predisposed towards major defects these days.
  2. People still get done by him at Knox. May be rumor. But I also hear that he's training lilydale tmu to be as bad as he is...so... Either way... You can't up and move your car at a show n shine if the cops turn up. Which they will.
  3. Dumb luck my friend. I had my r back for 7 hours after havin it off the road for 7 months and got done for height, major with rwc needed and 299 dollar fine. Forgive me for erring on the side of caution but cruises are a lot easier to be invisible in or find ways out of the situation. Because an event that big WILL result in cops turning up and handing out defects and epas like candy
  4. Haven't been to Knox cuz I don't feel like getting caned by pettett no...
  5. Wheels in profile (advans) are not current. It's on bronze work emotion cr kais currently and thankyou!
  6. Show n shines are a little too... Sitting duck... For my liking
  7. Officers discretion hamish. If they feel you're too much of an asshole to them or if it's repeat offence or really... For any reason at all because the officer says so, you can also cop points. officer discretion is a wonderful thing isn't it? Just like my major defect for what's usually a minor. Vicroads can't do shit...only way you get out of an officer discretionary punishment is if you can make the officer change their mind... Yeah right
  8. Lol almost had me excited! If it hadve been nepean and sth rd at 6 45 it woulda been me
  9. Lol scam...
  10. How old are you? If you're looking at performance Cars or even na skylines you really only have 2 - 3 options. Shannons will really only take over 25s but if you have an extremely clean record and are a paid member of a car club they might. Other options are RACV if they will take you... Just Car Insurance are touch and go with how good they are but they will cover pretty much anything for a price. Either way much better to be covered in case say you hit a lamborghini...
  11. Think it's a good idea re other forums too...
  12. Hahaha.... Alllllllllll the time my friend all the time....
  13. No need to be an ass alex 0.o mixed company bru! Topgear was good, I loved it public transport does still suck though
  14. Coilovers are the way forward here if you want adjustable height and dampening... I'm running tein monoflexes in my 33R at the moment, can't fault the ride and having adjustable height is a bonus when u get done for too low dunno how much they cost as they were replaced by my insurance after my ohlins broke on a pothole. But well worth the Money I didn't have to pay!
  15. Funny cuz it's prolly true. Make him come to you mohsen...like every other seller...
  16. umm...not really... Might be 1.5k if you don't have anything but drivetrain fluids to flush and replace and with engine oil change. Expect it to blow out exponentially if anything is wrong with the car. For example. Just had mine done and had to replace both o2 sensors (car was running very rich) and both rear brake pads. Parts alone for those 2 things added up to another 8-900 dollars. Plus more labour. Rb26 is a prick of a job from what I hear. 4wd fluid has to be changed. Transfer case fluid has to be changed. Hicas has to be checked... Etc. with the extra bits and bobs I actually had a good 2.5k ish to do that service. 1-1.5 is what I'd expect and have seen a normal 100 000 km service on a gtst cost. With nothin wrong with the car. It is expensive but well worth it.
  17. Sounds like a couple grand to make it roadworthy just based on windows mirrors and not sure what it's like in qld but in Vic only one intake mod is allowed ie only pod OR fmic. If that's the case where u are a stock airbox or sidemount intercooler would have to be sourced and fitted. I dunno about u buddy but I have alarm bells going off in my head on this one. If u can't afford more than 5k u can't afford a skyline...as said above, it's not all purchase price. It's maintainance. And that is just as expensive. Also...a 1993 will not have any airbags. If that's a consideration.
  18. Mine is actually engraved into the strut tower. It's a compliance thing and nothing to worry about. By law they have to put the aus vin number (with 6U900 in it) somewhere in the engine bay. Some compliers will even just engrave it below the jap vin on the firewall but strut tower is very common
  19. Provided factories and stock weren't affected by the 10m tsunami anyway. Cruise sounds like a good idea though.
  20. Can I move to 11 Clarence?
  21. well...its been 10 for me. and longer for most of the guys here. kid.
  22. U say that like it was so long ago kid.
  23. fixed.
  24. this. He's trying to make around 1k more than he spent. On another note i'm pretty sure that the police are stalking me... Can't even get away from them on the train home!
