haha nah. my car needed new brake pads as well but what richo said...its not an easy job and it takes a lot of time. a timing belt kit alone is 400 from just jap. water pump retails around 180. ever had to do a 100 000 on a gtr dezz? cuz its all fairly standard stuff. theres a bit more to check what with the 4wd system than your average gtst. 0.o

we've discussed this... labour is an ESTIMATE to begin with...it might balloon if ur engine needs more maintainance, ie seals and gaskets, that need to be replaced. its a 13 year old car. this is bound to happen. plus all your oils and lubes because they should look over the whole car, not just the engine. gearbox, diffs, transfer case. ALL of these need fluids and they all cost money. i told u GTRs were expensive to keep before u bought it including cost of ur parts id still expect around 2k. just like i told you to expect after seeing my 100 000k write up!

Well ur thinking about people your age alex. Ur not thinking of middle income earners who have families to provide for etc. End of the day we all have the same bills to pay but high income earners actually have money left after paying rent n bills and supplies etc. The way I figure it they're getting charged more because they can afford to part with more...or that's the logic involved. Truth is there are a lot of middle income earners already struggling to make ends meet. So no, I don't think it's fair to take from the poor and give to the recently poor. Should they be given money for relief? Sure. But not by forcing it out of my pocket. That's what that charity is for. It's already raised more than gillard could. Also. Agreed. What about Victoria?
