  1. Results? How did Garth go? How did the orange Lotus go?
  2. Yeah, Sorry about that Lofty. I was told by one of the grid marshals that you dropped the oil, or at least some of it. I just read on the other thread that you in fact spun on the oil and didn't drop it. Sorry about that and I hope they get the car sorted in time for Superlap.
  3. Yeah, true Neil. I overheard one of the superkart drivers/riders on the grid saying that they should ban four strokes, two strokes never drop oil he says.
  4. Anyway to rescue you from your boredom here is a video of our car at Eastern Creek on the weekend. The oil you can see on the track in from the BSM Skyline the race before. http://vimeo.com/3798782
  5. I'm sorry? Read what he actually wrote and tell me where he is wrong? We never entered our car or expressed any interest in running yet we were shown on the list. Not our fault. The yellow car was destroyed in a serious accident at Phillip Island last year so obviously it can't run.
  6. Crikey you guys are nice. I was a little sorry not to be doing Superlap this year but after reading that lot it's obvious we are not welcome. Good luck to all competing. BTW you really should get all you facts straight before making comments you may later regret.
  7. I meant the line Middleton was taking in that photo was crazy given the position of the car in front of him. They must have been nose to tail entering the dogleg and you just do not dive over the strips in that case. As for our car, we use as much of the strips ass pos bearing in mind our ride height and the weight of the car as Boz points out.
  8. No way. I almost cracked it at the commentator saying "Johnny Boston" 200 times over the PA, could not cope if it was 500 times!!!
  9. R35 is very nice. Even room in the back for the kids and a real boot. Would make a nice shopping trolley.
  10. Oh, and that line he is taking in the photo is a joke. No wonder he hit you. NO WAY should he have been that close to anyone at any point. This is not racing!!!!! Back off to give yourself and others some space then get on it.
  11. I'm glad your car is OK. I saw the front of the MRT car and wondered what he had been up to. The day started with a laugh for me - 1st session Middleton came in to check tyre temps. The front brakes caught fire - really on fire. We're yelling send it back out (only way to cool them) as they stand there looking at it. :laughing-smiley-014: As for the event, I think a 2 day format might be the go. More time for socializing and more time to run single car superlap.
  12. Oh, and can anyone explain why Bel won the trophy for fastest 4 cylinder????? I assumed these trophies were based on finishing order in the quallifying. In which case Peter Lucas should have been fastest 4. If they are based on SuperLap times then why did Tim not win fastest RWD car?? Even his 1st SL was faster than Peter Lucas who was handed that trophy. Seems to me that the organisers were under a bit of pressure at the end.
  13. BTW, It's partly our fault for not pushing harder in qually. I miss-understood the way the day works. I assumed that the event was all about the SuperLap so we just made sure we were in the top 5. I seems from the way the trophies and prize money were handed out that the qualifying sessions carried more prestige?? How do you guys view this?
  14. The officials were the ones that offered Tim a re-run. He did not ask for one. He was struggling all day on soft compound tyres, they just went off and never recovered. So I fitted the rears off my yellow Exige road car (mediums) for the Superlap and the car felt much better. Peter Lucas locked a brake in his SuperLap and hence was a bit slower. Tim was baulked a little I'd say. His re-run has not really on warm tyres because he had only done 1 flying lap on them and he sat in the pit lane for at least 8min to run last. Tim has a lot of experience in Superspirnts and just nailed a good lap. Either way we are not fussed about who got the trophy on the day and congratulation to Bel and Garth. At least we know our car was the fastest there on the day. Watch out next year!
  15. Some great pics here from Nathan Wong http://www.speedshots.com.au/gallery/other...rlap/?g2_page=1
