  2. Something that i have never really been clear on is how exhaust housings are measured and where? What does 1.06, 1.12 etc mean in exhaust housing size and on trust turbos what is 8cm, 10cm etc mean and where is it measured from? Anyone? Also on the compressor side how is the A/R.60, A/R.70 etc measured and what does it mean>? i just want to get it cleared up, maybe others wonder the same aswell. So anyone?>
  3. well i got a 3 inch system on my 33, with one muffler although have driven around with the rear muffler section taken away so therefor having a 3 inch system, highflow 3 inch cat, with no exhaust past the diff, i think that if u ran it through piping to the back of the car it would be not too bad, the noise factor wasnt too loud. What turbo and further mods? sorta adds to the noise too!!

  7. i already have done a search on TD06. Comes up with a heck of alot of stuff that is completely not related. found some info on Rob's Td06 ones but he is using stock exhaust manifold with a totally different wastegate setup. Was wondering if i could get some advice from people who have mates or have had experience with em.

  9. Well i have been thinking about so many different turbos lately for my needs. But for some reason the Td06 comes to mind all the time, since i have seen 2 r33's in the flesh that run TD06-20G turbos and they go respectably well i beleive this has convinced me that this is the turbo choice for me. Although i will go The 25G not 20G, MY engine has decided that it only wants to hold 30psi in number 5 cyl and there its need to be fixed. Was considering the Rb30/25 conversion but its not something i want to do just yet, So forged Rb25 is what i am going to continue on with. I will not be bolting the Td06 onto the stock exhaust manifold, it will be either a trust or hpi one. Basically along with cams, adj cam gears, power fc and the needed support items my power target is between 350-400hp at rear wheels. My questions are. Will the td06-25g be efficient around the 1-1.5 Bar mark, have no intention of going higher? This will continue to be my everyday drive car so this turbo shouldnt be any hassle driving to n from work? Would people suggest any different similar sized turbos to maybe consider? Also if i am looking at a new TD06, how am i to measure the exhaust housing size to know whether its adequate or not? Any help is much apeciated aswell as any further info u think i should know

  12. plus its a low mount, appears to look abit funny. Guess it will still scream, a mate has a Td06-20G on his R33, same looking wastegate with screamer, exact same dump ppe from turbo but his exhaust manifold is a trust one, the turbo is high mounted. Car goes well, as will yours

  14. that big mile an hour for stocko turbo i would imagin, my best is only 103.7 that was on a 13.66 pass. although, i only have stock everything except exhaust and boost. congrats dude, thats awesome.
  15. well mine doewsnt have anywhere near 210kw but i noticed that with the old tyres(bald) it was very silly trying to get traction on the street coz they just spuin everywhere, i was in the same boat 1st 2nd was just spinning, however i went and got osme new tyres and they were 245/40/17's bridgestone Grid II i have to say these are better than the 255 tyres that i had on it previously, much better traction, 1st only spins a little with 2nd on spinning on gear change then she al go fromthere. maybe try different tyres, i got tein adjustables on mine and i have put em lowish, i still ran 13.5 with my shitter dude so i reckon u should be able to do at least that. twin plate may be a back foot step, although nice and strong, i think the ability to slip them isnt as good as your average organic shit one like mine
  16. an excuse aye, somehow an excuse that good isnt going to be that successfull on a 2nd year apprentice mechanic wage i still owe 10k on the car as it is.
  17. well my engine has decided to pack it in, cutting a long story short was racing at willowbank on saturday and on the 3rd runs clouds of smoke came out and compression tested the cylinders last night, and.....1-75, 2-145, 3-145, 4-145, 5-30, 6-145 The engine still ran but was noticeably down on response, turbo was abit dull in normal driving and the car idled abit lumpier and deeper. So thats my hassle at the moment

  19. u can try and hassle, my boss doesnt like helping TW's alot, depends how busy we are really, he normally attends people who drive in whilst im working, but then again sometimes he is busy so its my job.

  21. predator: yeah the speed camera's were out in force today as were the police cars cruizin the area in general, was surprised, u obviously dont drive ur r33 past coz otherwise i would notice it, i see just about every hottie car drive past. Was a nice cortina come in and filled up today, number plates PSI-41 so im thinking turbo 4.1ltr crossflow but just a guess, seemed to have some grunt about it, where u work dude/

  25. well its instant 6 months coz i was over 40k's over the speed limit and then possible further suspension of licence and fines on the day, not sure yet
