  3. glad u mentioned that ^^^^ coz i never knew that haha
  4. i just purchased a garret gt35/40 .82 ex so i'll be looking at the housing when it arrives, now its been brought to my attention about benifits of matching manifold and fplange i'llbe spending MORE time on it now i think haha
  5. odd thats the overdrive wasnt on>??? tranny issue??
  6. yeah im heading toward the blitz sbc id-3.... cheers for the reply's guys
  7. try drift zone website http://bne3.rpdata.net.au/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi
  8. i had same piston let go in my r33, melted the side of the piston slightly on exhaust side
  9. hey man im just about to buy one of these myself, how come your selling it??
  10. splitfires may not be "needed" as such to make 300kw but could aid getting there, with increased spark attributes in short more bang more power yeeeew... but yeah i'd wait n see if u get breaking down issues then change em if u need too
  11. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ah i see, interesting your feeling a "doughy" feeling, maybe your experiencing heat soat in traffic?? i know mine was bad for that. goodluck with it all anyway...
  12. i didnt have a box, engine was put together previously with the head studs but hen i blew a headgasket after that so i pulled the head off n did it myself/
  13. interested in wheels, got any pics bud??
  14. hey im using arp headstud kit, i put my head on myself, think it was 80nm no probs with 1 washer
  15. haha good call... go split fires dude, plug in, no extra wiring needed
  16. yeah stock cams on rb's are pretty good anyway, well for upto 400hp anyway, sr20 benifit from a camshaft upgrade signifigantly.. save the money and spend it elsewhere.. cheers
  17. i had a wieerd one happen to me on my 33, theres a hose that comes off your manifold that runs to the corner of your cross over pipe...my popped off at the manifold...was hard to find coz i could cruise and lightly accelerate and idle fine but once i needed boost it would push off slightly and leak, once i backed off it would suck back on.. bastard haha
  18. are u still running stock computer/?? coz the stock computer dumps a whole lot of fuel in when u plant the foot so thats probably half the problem... get gcg to do the hiflow and put the vg30 ex housing on and u have a ripper of a setup, i cant speak hi enough for these hybrid gcg turbos, theres awesome..
  19. sounds abit pricey. i picked up a whole vg30 single turbo for 200.. its worthwhile, im confused at why people think about the lag so much, its not like your bolting a gt30 on or something, lag is abit more than stock but less than larger turbo, its really nothing to worry about, if u know how to drive your car and use your revs you'll be more than happy..
  20. could have disturbed afm plug, check that for sure
  21. car/engine??
  22. hi, no i never had the 33 housing on it, i wanted the most out of the turbo so opted for vg30 housing first up... lag is minor, for the power the turbo makes, for me it was more responsive than the apposing cars i raced with bigger turbo's.. u wont regret it, thinking too much, just do it...haha
  23. 2.3 60 foot says it all, no wheelspin at launch, bogged it down nearly very time. 112mph was good, just gotta get take off mastered but yeah with better tires i could have used more revs. now its a different ball game all together, with new setup. good luck
  24. ok well ive had my head off twice (rb25det) and both time the lifters were pre bled at the head reco place so i did not need to touch them, all the heads we get back from head reco place when i worked at mechanics shop that had hydro lifters we didnt touch them, lifters are pre bled by head places, if u dont take head to a shop then yes its probably a wise move to bleed them...
