  1. Did you manage to get the front windscreen out without it breaking? When i had my seals replaced, i was also up for a new windscreen.
  2. I dont believe so. I had a mobile guy from racq glass come out and replace mine recently. I opted to go genuine nissan on all the seals, but he said i could of just gone generic seals for around $30.
  3. Super easy! You will need to get the ac degassed before you attempt to remove it. Remove the glovebox, then you can get access to the heater box and undo the 2 ac lines that poke out from the firewall near the turbo. I'm sure there are many detailed threads on this already.
  4. Hey mate, its almost impossible not to crack the front windscreen when removing it. I recently had mine removed by a professional to get the seals replaced and he said 90% of the time they crack. The rear windscreen is apparently a thicker glass and less likely to need replacing. I went with genuine nissan seals but the racq windscreen guy said they can use aftermarket seals for around $30
  5. Yeah i purchased a chinese ac compressor for my 33 and was thoroughly impressed with the quality and fitment. Not sure on the longevity but i figure i can get it rebuilt for a fraction of the price.
  6. O briens should be able to remove the windscreen and replace the seals but you'll probably need to source the parts yourself. There are 3 separate rubber seals for the front and rear windscreens which need replacing and will cost roughly $300 per windscreen if you go genuine nissan parts
  7. I haven't had a chance to take it for a drive yet...just waiting for the weather to clear up. That link you posted contains the most information i could find on it as well. Most guys turfed these in favour of a fmic but i wanted to see if having both could be done. Its a pretty cool factory option, even if it doesnt make a huge difference to the aerodynamics of the vehicle
  8. I finally managed to find someone that had there r33 factory fitted with the front auto spoiler, who was actually willing to swap there wiring harness with me. It wasn't the easiest job but its all working now... and with a front mount intercooler too! 😏 Here's a pic of the loom that had to be swapped if anyone else is considering doing this as well.
  9. As the title states i'm chasing the sub wiring loom for the factory optioned front active aero spoiler. This was only available on a series 1 gtst and was quite a rare option. I will pay good money to anyone who can source one of these and take the time to strip it out of there existing loom. I've attached a picture of what the plugs look like. I believe they're taped in with the front fog light wiring loom, so they should be hanging just behind the front indicators. And also any information on these spoilers would be muchly appreciated, thanks 😊
  10. If they're anything like the r33 ganadors they will plug into the factory harness but as GTSboy mentioned you will lose the mirror fold function. You can still adjust the lenses though 👍
  11. Literally sounds like a nightmare!! 😱😱 what a bunch of incompetent fools!
  12. I would be very interested to know too!
  13. I'm using a z387 too! Been using one on e85 for the past 3 years with no issues. I believe its the same filter used in the gtr's
  14. Just an update on my starting issues. I ended up getting a brand new oem cas and took it back to my tuner to make sure it was installed correctly. It starts up first go every time now...even if i havent driven the car in a few weeks. Still runs a bit sluggish on a cold start, but once it reaches normal operating temp its perfect, so it must require some fine tuning for cold running.
  15. Maybe you could source something similar from spotlight and staple/super glue it on. I literally just replaced mine on the 33 today. I got them from amayama for $40 a piece ?
  16. I say keep the 33. Been daily driving mine for 10 years now and still love it. It all comes down to personal preference though. In saying that i will be getting a cheap daily very soon to stop racking up km's on the 33. With relation to the sunroof, you can replace just the rubber seal without replacing the entire sunroof assembly. I did mine about a year ago and paid roughly $150 from nissan.
  17. Maybe a gtr front lip or a fiberglass copy. Looks nice on a s1 gtst! ?
  18. Agreed! I'm looking at replacing mine too and theres no way i'm paying $1700 for genuine nissan. Apparently there hard to rebuild and this was coming from a car a/c specialist!
  19. Well as far as an auto r33 goes, lets just say the most excitement you'll have is flicking that overdrive switch on and off
  20. No not originally in the car. Purchased the ecu off ebay recently. Apparently it was a pretty rare factory option..only in the s1 r33's though. Surprisingly the plug for the switch was tucked behind the dash
  21. Hey guys, ive installed a front auto spoiler on my s1 r33 and cant find the plug for the spoiler ecu. Ive tried tracing the wiring from the interior switch to see if it leads me to the plug that goes into the back of the ecu. I was hoping to see the plug taped up somewhere as my car didnt originally come with this from factory. I've attached a picture of the ecu. Any help would be much appreciated!
  22. Ahh cheers mate! I should of looked a bit harder and seen it was temporarily closed ?
  23. Just had a search for e85 on fuel watch and apparently the shell servo down at coomera gold coast sells e85 for 99c/liter. Can anyone verify this? I thought united were the only stockists of e85
  24. Yeah as mentioned before its the one without that flange bit. Heres one that i purchased recently for my 33. and you'll want the metal grease seal too, which you can also see in the picture
