  1. ok so I just got a wheel alignment done today at bob jane and found out that the camber on the front passenger side is out. the results were -2.04 front passenger and 0.42 front driver. I was told to take it to a suspension place to get it properly looked over. Before I take it there does anyone know what could possibly be causing this or what may need replacing? I know its hard without looking but I'll try explain the best I can. strangely enough I also get a metal on metal knocking noise from that side when going over bumpy roads and pulling into driveways. The noise has been there for at least 6 months and is driving me nuts and I think it may be related to the camber being out so much on that side. The things i've replaced recently: front passenger wheel bearing, new bc br coilovers, new whiteline swaybars (front & rear) along with swaybar links and d-link bushes and hardrace traction rods. I've looked under the car multiple times now and can't visibly see anything bent or loose. I've been told by a workshop that its not the tie rods or tie rod ends. Also when doing around 80kms I can hear almost like a ticking noise coming from that side as well when driving near road barriers as the sound is amplified. seriously I feel like taking a torch to the car sometimes lol Any suggestions guys? its an r33 gtst. thanks
  2. how are they going for you? were you still running the factory tension rods before you put the hardrace one's in?
  3. they were worn and knocking like a bitch plus they're not adr approved so I found out. thanks for the help guys. fitted them this arvo and will be getting a wheel alignment tomorrow. and yes they do actually have a washer in between them lol
  4. just got my new hardrace tension rods in the mail and im in the process of fitting them but unsure if the 2 nuts on either side of that silver section should be tight or wound out like I have in the picture. should it be the same length that I had my old tein's. So which is right? the one on the bottom of the picture or the one next to the tein tension rod? thanks
  5. i'd be going with white led's personally or maybe red? totally up to you. with regards to gauges i've only got an aftermarket boost gauge and its position has never been questioned by police. to be honest they're not really interested in the interior unless you've got a billion gauges all over the dash, aftermarket steering wheel etc. i've attached a pic of where mine is mounted. Not sure on the legality though but meh.
  6. where abouts on southside man?
  7. i hope the remsa pads aren't noisy...i just bought a set for the fronts lol
  8. no offence but if my mrs said that i'd tell her to shove it lol very nice car by the way good luck with the sale
  9. yes you read that right Im giving away a R33 gtst s1 spoiler (factory black) in good condition. These don't seem to fetch more than $10 so I may as well give it away to free up some space in my garage. The only catch is that you need to pick it up. Im located in the redbank plains area
  10. Sold!
  11. no worries v8 skyline man! they're yours!
  12. damn i so wish i had the cash for this!
  13. too easy mate!
  14. As the title states I'm selling the factory spoiler off a series 1 r33. Factory Black. paint and spoiler in good condition. brake light included
  15. Selling front and rear arc swaybars to suit an r33 gtst in good condition. Not sure how long they've been on the car for..I've had the car for 2 years. rear d-link bushes and links supplied. No front stabiliser links or d-link bushes supplied. I'm not sure on exact measurements as my tape measure is a bit dodgy but the front looks as though it's 28-29mm and the rear looks like 24-25mm. $40 for everything. pickup only in the ipswich area.
  16. Hey guys, as the title states I'm after r33 gtr rear seats (top and lower half) was also wondering if anyone knows if they sit lower than the gtst rear seats? Thanks
  17. bump. radiator gone!
  18. armor all wheel cleaner is fantastic! been using it for about 2 years on my chrome wheels and had no problems. roughly $12 a bottle too.
  19. damn thats some bad corrosion. i would suggest doing what you mentioned and remove the intake manifold or it should be possible to get it welded while its still on the car. you'd just need to make sure everything was covered up well. with regards to the 2 hoses coming out they would be for the transmission cooler for an automatic r33. i take it yours is a manual? then just plug up the 2 holes.
  20. sweet! unfortunately i dont have ramps think i may have to invest in a set
  21. awesome! thanks man and just another question. I've got the car jacked up at the moment so would it be better to put the links in place then lower the car then tighten all bolts?
  22. Just got my rear whiteline swaybar today and in the process of fitting it all up. I'm not too sure exactly what side of the swaybar the link is meant to mount to or doesn't it matter? I've attached a picture of the position I have it in at the moment. Any help or advice about fitting them would be great thanks!
  23. i can vouch for the fenix 42mm radiators as well. perfect fitment and fantastic quality
  24. one word... bosch! these are by far the best wipers i have ever used and don't experience any sort of noise from them. they're fairly pricey though ($40 for one) but i managed to get them cheaper off ebay. it's the bosch aerotwin blades that your after. sounds like the wipers may not be your problem but just thought i'd share this with you.
  25. hey mate, i have an r33 coupe and ended up getting a r33 4 door rear garnish as they have the silver 'skyline' letters on them whereas the coupe garnish is colour coded. I'm pretty sure this applies to the r34's as well. all i did was pop off the letters and stick them directly over the top of the letters as I prefer the look of the chrome letters. I just had a quick look on ebay and looks as though you would need to purchase the entire bootlid to get the letters which could be a bit costly so maybe you could try spraying or sticking chrome overlay on the letters. just an idea
