  1. personally I would only ever go genuine Nissan when it comes to water pumps. I had one of those 'protex' pumps which lasted only 20,000kms before it started to leak. the last thing you wanna go doing is replacing the timing belt again due to a shitty water pump.
  2. hey mate just did this recently. I only ended up changing the bonnet and headlights. To make it look good though I ended up grinding a bit out of the reo bar to mount it a bit further back (about 5-10mm) as the s2 headlights sit back a bit further than the s1. then I used a couple of spacers to bring the headlights out a touch more. I did this as I'm not really a fan of the s2 bumper or the s1 headlights. It does take a lot of trial and error but was well worth it in the end. heres a pic. it's not great but you get the idea.
  3. piece of piss to change over. the pump is located under the bonnet attached to the washer fluid container. I tried finding a generic one that would work but had no luck so purchased a genuine Nissan pump for $46 and that was just last year.
  4. thanks mad082... exactly what I wanted to know! normally I'd go ryco filters but saw a genuine Nissan thermostat and fuel filter package off ebay for $35 and couldn't pass it up. The thermostat has 76.5 etched on it. will let u know how the fitting goes. Thanks guys
  5. hey guys, recently I picked up a genuine nissan r33 thermostat and fuel filter. the items were advertised as fitting an r33 gtst but when they arrived in the mail i realised that they're for a gtr. the thermostat is exactly the same for a gtst and gtr so I can use that but the fuel filter i'm not so sure about as it has that little bend in the top line and is a bit bigger. is it safe to use on a gtst? any reason why I shouldn't hook it up? any advice appreciated
  6. bump! now $20
  7. hey guys. I'm chasing a second hand tyre as I discovered I had a couple of nails in one of my rear tyres a month ago. got it repaired but its starting to slowly leak again and i'm not in the position to fork out for a brand new tyre (cheapest brand new was $250 (not including postage) for a kumho ku19 off ebay). The tyre itself still has a fair bit of tread on it and I'm annoyed that I have to replace it after only having it for a year and a half. preferably after a kumho 275/30/r19 ecsta ku19 as that is what I have on the rears with at least 60-70% tread. number is 0433 373 183. thanks!
  8. no way! i couldn't speak more highly of dan and erd. very upsetting. hope your ok dan
  9. as for your first question i believe its called a splash shield. sorry but I cant help with your central locking problem

  11. the r33 doesn't really have a filter for the aircon system. there's a fan behind the glovebox which you can remove and clean the dust off but thats about it, apart from removing the evaporator condenser and giving that a clean too! trust me i've removed everything in that area.
  12. bonnet gone!
  13. since i've had no interest in this, the first person to get back to me can have this bonnet for free as i'm sick of looking at it
  14. passenger side skirt from a black r33 gtst in great condition. $30 no scratches or chips. you'll have to provide your own mounting clips though but these can be bought at supercheap/repco. reply if pictures are required. pickup only. located in redbank plains
  15. yea man still for sale. here's a picture. note the small patch of paint damage in the second picture
  16. hey mate i replaced that hose just recently. it's roughly half a meter long if that and runs underneath the car and clamps to a steel fuel line. ideally you would remove the whole fuel tank to replace these hoses but it is possible without removing the tank. just a bit fiddly trying to feed the new hose down under the car. make sure you get 'efi fuel' hose not a coolant or vaccum hose. i have seen this done before lol
  17. will check this out for sure!

  22. am also a huge fan. this looks sick!
  23. ^ spot on man! yea I purchased a 3 inch holesaw from bunnings a couple years ago now and it set me back around $80 from memory so yea not cheap. and it is possible to do it with a cordless(not a riobi or ozito). I used my 18v li ion milwaukee and did the job just fine. If you were in brisbane I'd offer to give u a hand.
