It has gone from $65k to $75k in one week also....

There is a cheap $65k nur m spec at a dealer on parra rd (it's jade though) I wonder why its so cheap.... Has anyone seen this car yet (it's on carsales)

Ahh thought it may have been you, I seen your car in the carpark going back a while ago and is the only silver R34 I know of in Newwy, and seen you again last week (I drive a black Lexus IS300 with a C West kit with bronze Advans) You may have seen my work mates black R34 (bakes) going back just over 12 months ago in the same car park before he sold it!

I am selling my 2001 Lexus IS300 to buy a R34 GTR VS1. It is a 2001 model has a 2JZ-GE with 5 spd tiptronic. Being a top of the line model it has heated seats, 8 airbags, ESC, trac control, HID (self levelling & auto headlights) etc etc It has 125k kays and has full Lexus service up until 90k kays when I purchased the car. I have serviced it myself since then always using Castrol Edge 5W-30 and TRD filters. As you can see the car is in as new condition, it has never been tracked or flogged. Where is the cheapest place to get a genuine vspec II bonnet? Im presuming they will be 1-2k?

Lol I realise that, I just wasn't sure if Iron Chef meant he seen it being auctioned by global auto or seen it being auctioned off prior to global auto purchasing the car. As it is now the price global have on it seems very reasonable which makes me wonder why iron chefs client didn't purchase the car from the auctions as it would have obviously been cheaper then what it is now!? Im not wishing to sell it, I just started thinking what would this car be worth in Oz. It would be worth $70k at least but $8-90k is getting into NUR territory which I would presume would be more desirable then a tarted up VS2?

Thanks for that. The owner mentioned it had a cracked bonnet, cigarette burn mark in seat, but nothing about the bumpers... Could it just be the front bar hasnt been put back on properly when the car had the turbos put in etc? What other faults did you find with it?

So globalauto purchased the car at an auction originally and have relisted it for sale through their dealership? Would it fetch $80K here in Oz? I presume it would be about $72K landed here and complied?

The current seller of VSPEC2 states that the car has been serviced every 5k kays on the carsales ad. The more I research the more I realise that 100k kays for a 99-01 GTR is pretty normal. 75% of the R34 GTR's in japan for sale are around 6-70k kays, whereas here in Australia 75% of the R34's for sale are around 3-40k kays (no doubt with modified clusters or nismo dials added etc) Does anyone have any pics of this car other then what is listed on carsales? All the old previous threads have broken links and no pics of the engine bay..

I seen this damn tasty VS2 the other day and was wishing I had $70K to buy it and import it. Then I got thinking what would this be worth on the Australian market? I'm currently looking into selling my car (have a few people looking at it this week) and I wish to purchase an R34 GTR V spec for $45-50K. Since a lot of the SAU forum members know a few R34 GTR owners it would be appreciated if you could give me a heads up on the history of any of the following cars or if you know of a clean R34 GTR 4sale within my specified price range. At this stage I would like a white, silver or black. Purple red or yellow doesn't really do it for me although bayside blue I'm still undecided on. Preferably it would have a few tasty mods such as rims coilovers turbo upgrade exhaust nismo cluster rims etc but nothing too wild. Here is what I have found so far on carsales: Black R34 VS2 with a heap of tasty mods VSPEC2 plates (previously MAD-GTR) $49k Nice white VS1 with a stock look engine bay putting out 311atwkw THE GTR plates $49k Bayside blue VS1 with lots of mods in QLD rays rims 320kwatw $49K So has anyone looked at any of these cars in person or know of the history of these cars above? If anyone knows of a clean VSpec plz let me know Any comments advice would be appreciated! Cheers

Bump from the dead!! This car is now for sale on car sales for $49K with 105k kays, does anyone know the background of this car and if its reliable or not?? I'm looking at what's on the market in the $45-50k region. The current price of $49k seems low but he has been trying to sell it for over 6 months and has slowly kept dropping his price from the original asking price of $65k!! Cheers
