  1. 2 days for a full show car paint job? You're dreaming Denis. I suggest you take your car to him if you're that worried about cash and see how long the paint job actually lasts. Even better, put your car in a show and see what the judges have to say about a 2 day paint job!
  2. $3k+ is totally cheap for a full paint job!!!!!! If someone charged even a ridiculously low rate of $20 an hour there's easily 150 hours worth of sanding, filling, painting and polishing and there's your $3k already without even paying for the paint.
  3. Aah, 'stealth' isn't a word I'd used on a search yet. Found the JJR kits, they look the goods, I can modify one of those for a 32. Cheers Scotty.
  4. I'm after an intercooler for an R32 with the following specific features; * Must not involve any cutting away of any metal components in the car to be fitted (don't mind cutting the plastic bumper a bit) * Must use the standard intercooler pipe entry/exit points below the airbox to look as stock as possible * As discreet as possible when viewed from front on * Allows me to maintain the stock NEO engine cover (the car has the R34 motor) Does anyone make a good quality kit like this? All the kits I've found so far are all in your face, chrome and silicon pipes all over the engine bay and in a lot of cases involve cutting of the body/chassis/front bumper steel to fit.
  5. If you're not using 2 pack and you can't afford the booth you can do it in your own shed. I've had good success this way, but prep/cleaning the shed beforehand is crucial.
  6. Heh, I had a pet trapdoor spider as a kid, used to pop flies/bugs/etc into the aquarium with it and it was the coolest how it popped open it's little trap door to grab them and eat them. Had a huntsman and a brown snake too but my sister dobbed me in and I had to let them go
  7. Thanks mate, those will help heaps.
  8. As the title says, I'm chasing photo's of a stock R32 with M-spec skirts, pods and stock front bar, no wing. I don't mind what colour or rims as long as the photo's are clear and during daylight. They will be used to design some graphics for my car (which is currently in parts and I have no photo's of it together so I can't use mine). I would appreciate the following shots (can just reply to this thread with attachments/inserts and I'll download them from here) * direct side shot * direct front shot * front shot looking slightly down onto the car * direct rear shot * rear shot looking slightly down onto the car * angled rear shot looking slightly down on car * angled front shot looking slightly down on car Much appreciated!
  9. Clears it up for me but also means I don't have one I can offer you sorry! Best of luck.
  10. The only RB25 that came out in the R32 was a non turbo, so are you trying to do a 25/30 non turbo conversion? If so, it's probably not worth it in 'bang for your buck' terms. But from the sounds of your post you want the turbo head? If so, they only came in the 33 and 34's. Best to clarify so people can know for sure what you're after.
  11. Oh damn!!!! I like these a lot........just let me check my credit card limit........bummer, no hope for me
  12. I've dealt with them. They were friendly but gave me the wrong parts. I went in person to Nisswreck and bought an R32 castor arm. It cost $95 and had R32 written on it. Took it home and it wasn't an R32 arm. Bought one from a friend who crashed his R32 for $60. btw, I'm not dissing Nisswreck, just letting you know my experience, I'd still buy from there, but I'd take in something to check they were giving me the right part.
  13. If you want to go cheap option, I've had good success with VDO. btw, I didn't buy a set of stock 32 rims off you recently did I? The interior of your 31 looks familiar
  14. S'cool. Let me know if you change your mind. Out of interest, how much would you want for the whole loom?
  15. I'll take the knock sensor sub loom if you want to part out
  16. K1NGTR, I think you deserve a heap of credit for getting stuck into it and giving it a go yourself, and the pictures look great! I've painted several cars myself now (including a black R32) and the paint jobs look as good as yours in photo's but up close flaws can be seen, especially in the ones I've done in black paint. Even if yours is like that and looks a bit average in person (and I wouldn't have a clue if it does or doesn't coz I'm in SA), you still deserve credit for the DIY effort, and each successive car you do will look better!
  17. PM your addy, I'll get a price on a courier and make a decision then
  18. Heh, I thought you meant it was 180 for a top seat for the flight (your first post)
  19. ^^^ Sharing a cabin is deffo the cheapest way to go. Have done so often.
  20. Don't forget to factor in the Spirit of Tasmania costs if you choose to pick it up yourself. It's subsidised now, and only costs $65 to take a car one way, but it's between $130-200 for a passenger fare and up to $400 I reckon for a cabin (been a few months since I did it). Cheaper to book your car in and hide in the boot
  21. When I was young and stupid, I put blue parker lights in my car and took it into the local police station (SA) and the cop said they were fine as long as my headlights were brighter than them. But then I was told to take them off when I was driving in Tasmania.
  22. Totally! After working so hard on my cars, I'd be devo'd if some lowlife flogged them!
