  1. Try these - http://www.racepak.com/sensors_travel.php We use something similar with our Motec dash in a P Car
  2. Your incar video shows (sounds) the splitter to be contacting the road at about that point of the track - it must be speed/downforce related. Did either of you guys run shock/ride height sensors to the dash logger etc?
  3. Simon, if you want to bring down some lines, we will happily use our crimping machine to get them done for you and set you up with the right kind of fitting
  4. Maybe thats not bad luck then - its not often you get a warning to fix something like that and get away with it in the first instance.... As for the speed trap Iron Chef, it was very hard to work out how and where it picked up even watching it closely.
  5. Oh bad luck for him. Probably move to JIC crimped fittings on braided hose and avoid that happening again. Its never much fun! (This is how we do all of our GTR lines - high pressure oil leaks are always bad news on the track)
  6. Who or what is a Simon and what misfortune?
  7. Those and the Hankooks which were very impressive!
  8. Setup and tyre selection is the key for EC by the looks of it. We will make sure those two variables are where they need to be for next time The driver did a very good job considering the corner speed we were giving away with a total lack of grip...kind of my mistake that one too!
  9. We struggled with getting to know the track more than anything else as first timers....and then getting a clean lap without red flags on the Sunday when cars were blowing engines most everylap in the WTAC 'wrecking yard'. IMO the car has a fairly easy 1.39 in it as you would expect from its Mallala pace. This weekend was about having fun, helping out our customers, and bringing it home in one piece. Although I would have liked to have seen faster lap times - you cant have everything As a positive we didnt have a single mechanical issue with our car, and one of our GTRs won Clubsprint. The GT Auto car which uses a lot of our transmission technology also lapped well and was fastest GTR of the event, and now in Australia. The Willall GTR posted the highest indicated straight speed of any car that we saw (including the pro cars) at 254km/h on the start/finish line - showing that we still have what it takes in the GTR drag game if nothing else
  10. Mark did an incredible job of driving the car. I made sure I took the time to go and tell him that....not too far off the pros!
  11. It was great working with the GT Garage Team across the course of Superlap. Also great to see our transmission components - clutches and hardware - stand up to the punishment of what is now Australias fastest GTR. Congrats on the results for your hard work
  12. We are the only Street Car in Open, so last will do
  13. Thanks for the support
  14. Sounds good guys, lets get it done
  15. The new bits were good enough for a 12.0 at Mallala last Sunday in Time Attack guise, so lets see. Come lend a hand in the pits SA boys....I think we are the only registered and road driven car in Open Class....so not expecting miracles
  16. Car is gone, but if you could get us a sticker tomorrow it would be mint We have a private flight leaving on Thursday morning, so anytime tomorrow is great mate cheers
  17. Rumours in progress. Next stop Sydney Can someone bring an SAUSA sticker for us to run? Have to support the club that supports us!
  18. On the Willall transporter heading to Eastern Creek for the weekend
  19. You will love it alright Catford
  20. 84 vane rotors. Combined with our water injection system they should be the business (I have always loved Endless gear, it just works so well)
  21. Rumour has it there will be a GTR from Adelaide flying the flag for SAU
  22. While I dont doubt your figures this is totally the opposite of the testing I have carried out for our own vehicles. However I have never tested 'Liberty' E85 only the United CSR Sarina manufactured blend, I think you may be getting confused with United. If there is a Liberty selling here let me know and I will test it. E-Flex is a much maligned fuel. As stated on the brochure on the Caltex servo counter this fuel WILL contain as little as E70 in some circumstances, and yes it has when I test it (71% concentration is the lowest measured directly). This gives the fuel an effective tuning RON (my calcs here, not measuring on an octane machine) of around 110 - 112 RON. It is also highly oxygenated which means that it is capable of delivering good combustion energy - significantly higher than that of E85. I do not know why Boostworx have found it makes less power than 98 octane fuel as on a typical 200rwkw turbocharged engine (on a Mainline dyno) we can normally extract in the order of 10% - 14% additional power and torque swapping from 98 to E-Flex. The tuning technique required does however require some thinking outside of the square with some engines. Yes, my family hack is a Flex-Fuel setup EVO X, and yes it runs on either 98, or more preferably (as it makes a ton more power and costs $40 a week to run) E-Flex CSR Sarina E85 is a little more pure for the racers measuring at around 88% Ethanol in most cases and can make a tad more power than E-Flex (not a great deal in it). We run the United CSR blend in - all - our Willall Racing track and drag cars, but maybe we are missing something?
  23. As part of our track testing and development of GTR parts at Willall Racing one thing we have done is overpowered the standard braking system. In 12,000 miles we have exhausted 5 sets of brake rotors and around 15 sets of brake pads, and in the middle developed a water cooling system - WR35WS - which has helped us and many others around the world keep a longer and stronger pedal and nearly double pad life. The problem being - the faster you go and the better tyre you have, the more brake you need.... We chose the Endless braking system for R35 for a couple of reasons. Firstly we needed a stiffer and stronger caliper. We were losing 30% of pad life at least with the taper - in both axis - in pad wear with the standard caliper. Secondly Endless offer a bigger rotor, titanium piston, and super thick (double the thickness of stock GTR) brake pads. Its part of their Super Taikyu endurance program, so lets get them on.... This weekend we are testing at the track. We have an existing benchmark with the stock braking system on AP J-Hooks/stock calipers, we are using the same Advan 20 inch slick tyre set, and the weather conditions look to be similar. Yes we have developed a WR35WS water injection setup for these bad boys as well. In my experience on the matter, nothing suits a race track better than a race brake...and I cant wait to put this Endless Mono-6 setup to the test and see how it stacks up against the Brembo competition setup on our Porsche GT Car
  24. Dont laugh, Gibson Motorsport used to run an OTR arrangement on the Group A R32 GTR
  25. Hey Trent you using the brake water injection on this one? Looks like it might need it!
