  1. Not likely.....I am happy driving stock road cars, fast enough for me!
  2. We decided to put in a fresh engine with some good upgraded internal bits That way the original sits on the shelf still running strong after 2.5 years of track work. Lifing components is a very important part of racing cars, and much cheaper than letting them break!
  3. In our team of four cars we have both our GTRs running - R32 GTR RH9 in full attack mode, and our R35 complete with new engine, bigger turbochargers (WR35TTR), and a new wheel tyre package. Should be interesting times for the Skyline fans
  4. Andrew you did very well were a complete asset for us to have on board wrapping a complete domination in OPEN AWD with Seb
  5. Bcl good to see you getting into an overall high performance pacakage. It will be a revelation after the Fords!
  6. Just keep it above the hard-deck, you will be right
  7. Its on its way back now Dom getting put on the truck in this pic....what a machine with the new technology in it!
  8. Mark we run a shade over -5 in the front and -3 in the back of the Willall development GTR with our WR35FCA and RCA control arm sets. Setting the camber is a matter of using the tyre pyro to adjust it for the track and grip levels being used.
  9. Hopefully going - with cars Apparently rear engined six cylinder cars are allowed this year. Thats the spirit
  10. There is no wanker like a Porsche wanker.....trust me I should know Actually Ferrari wankers are kind of the best - red Schuie suits with matching Puma booties and a 10 second off the pace lap time. Thats where its at Maranello style
  11. Great lap time at Mallala with a 1:13.3 in a 20 inch wheeled R35 Also Spielberg step aside - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T27HqKdjxQk
  12. A GTR we may have had a little to do with.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0evX-AWe7aI
  13. JDM, ADM, EDM, SADM and USDM (Lets not forget Gulf Spec as well) Just a heads up, this is more than likely what the dealer was looking for in the oil - Synchro pieces
  14. The GR6 is a strong transmission, however it DOES have its problems. We make a living out of selling repair parts and designing fixes for them, so have a fair idea of what you can expect if and when something goes wrong. The OP in this thread is hardly Robinson Crusoe when it comes to having issues. Its not one in a million. Common problems (when they occur) are - Inadequate lubrication causing valve body contamination and subsequent P0731-P0732 limp mode Piston seal failures, P0700 onwards codes and limp mode Four gear synchromesh failure - the scrapnel causes missed shifting on fourth gear and P0731 and upwards codes Line Pressure/Clutch Pressure sensor failure - P0830 (off the top of my head) FWD Circlip Failure - catastrophic transmission failure or if you are lucky just a damaged main shaft FWD transfer shaft Failure - P0700 and onwards. Oil Pump Failure - Harsh grinding noise Transmission case failure - as the name describes We have repaired 2 x GTR transmissions locally in the past fortnight with a selection of these issues, and obviously shipped parts from Dubai through to Hungary (and most everywhere in between) to fix over a dozen in the same period. The good news is that most of these problems can be avoided with preventative fixes
  15. That would have to be my favourite part of this episode
  16. How are you finding the active brake cooling Mark?
  17. We run -4.5 degrees negative Camber on the front of our GTR and -2.5 on the rear I could tell you how to do this but it would be considered free advertising on the board, so no cigar........
  18. I have some Xmas presents for you Mr Handbrake
  19. Did he like the brakes though Mark! Hopefully he liked the off-corner punch of those turbos too!
  20. So how fast did your XR6T and R33 GTS-t go there? haha lol joke bro
  21. Once you are there at that lap time you will wonder - how you havent - been there forever. Trust me its straightforward
  22. If you do the Time Attack series then there is a specific 2WD Class for cars like yours Krishy. Last Time Attack I reckon the winning car in that class was a GT3 with a 1:19.X lap time, so its totally achievable for you to get out there, have a go, and expect to win with a bit of preparation Nothing is more fun that beating GT3s on the track, we make a hobby of it
  23. So when has either an XR6T or R33GTS-t been fast around Mallala?...... I must have blinked and missed it Having said that a couple of years back in the Manufacturers championship David Ryan had a near stock (as they all are in that class) XR6T that we supplied a tune for, ran some - very - nice numbers at the Creek etc won a lot of races and I believe the championship. Should have been in the 1:17 slot or on that pace at Mallala so dont discount anything if it has the right setup and driver
  24. Call the Police......he stalked my residence scoping out my car once. Thats what I did
  25. Its great fun....but a long season if you are chasing the points!
