  1. Yes - and yes
  2. Welcome to the Internet
  3. While thats nice it shouldnt be forgotten all car companies exist for one reason - to make as much profit as possible to keep the board happy. Very few of them do it for the love
  4. There isnt a sponsor on this site that develops and engineers parts for the R35 that we know of - Resellers yes, but that is all - not that its a bad thing Our solution was a simple one when asked by the mods - stop posting about we do, and we did - problem solved. 99% of our business is overseas, so there is no point rocking the boat and making waves, hence we dont talk about anything we do here and everyone is happy. Anyone chasing 35 technology is already a member of NAGTROC anyway, and many SAU existing sponsors onsell our technology. Not really the same thing then is it as the poor chap that apparently needs this site to survive I have been a member of SAU since 2002 and our sponsorhip of SAU SA is only for warm fuzzies because we like to foster the community some. We do no - very little - business out of it. Its just goodwill, no more, as is my membership here My boat is there to be sunk then if it makes anyone feel good. Make me Martyr rather than Martin. Its all the same when I wake up in the morning and life goes on regardless
  5. Neil you will find that the Aussies will be gobsmacked with your 700awhp figure as they most done understand the variance between Aussie and US dyno numbers. For those that are interested 700awhp on a Dynojet or similar is almost spot on 420-430awkw on a Mainline over here in Aus
  6. GTR compares wheel speed to RPM - constantly - via the VDC system. It has look up tables in there, and once these get out of range.....the fun begins
  7. I do believe this car runs mid 40s these days Hopefully I get a drive of it at Mallala in a week or two and can measure its pace on a known yardstick with a good tyre set. I would be surprised if it was much off a Cup Car around there
  8. I think the trick is balancing lag with power as the R35 is a heavy beast to get moving out of the corners, give it a torque hole for another 500rpm and it will be slower. We choose a mild turbocharger upgrade for this very reason. Lowering the weight should improve - everything
  9. Endless W003 is the compound we use at Mallala - which is harder on brakes than QR - and no problems
  10. Dominic I spoke to these guys about your vehicle. There is no dialling of the drive split, its controlled by the VDC system mapping and driven by an electromagnetic clutch assy. Its time we had a look at your transmission I think and rectified a small problem before it becomes a big one.... Either that or turn it into a drift car
  11. The moral of the story goes something like this - Dont buy a flogged out old heap of wrecking yard re-birthed shit No matter what it is..... Or - do so - and open wallet, prepare for cleaning
  12. They are normally found in garages and on latte strips You wont see one (rarely) driven in anger at the circuit........... However when a GT2 is on the track, the driver always drives 'Flat Out' - if you know what I mean Clicky -
  13. Avoid those Kebabs at all costs...... The E85 drag map is a less endurance racing focussed version of the E85 tune that has been developed on the dyno. Should be 2 tenths in it, or 10.5 for you. Glad you like!
  14. Normally the basics of instrument inaccuracy (accounts for about 15km/h of it I reckon) plus the issues of tyre growth and distortion account for the error Notably the 'Kink' is the place that makes or breaks your lap. You can make seconds up (or lose them) right there
  15. Just as a point of interest. Our ECU logging at the Apex point of the Kink - not 100m before it - not 100m after it - will normally indicate around 228 - 232kmh. Actual GPS logged speed from the VBox is closer to 205 - 208km/h. A genuine 200km/h at the apex of the Kink needs three things - 1) A bloody powerful car to accelerate you to that true speed. 2) A very, very good chassis and normally slicks to take the side load generated (we generate around 1.4G lateral constant in the R35 at that point). 3) An even bigger set of balls as you need to clip the kerb on the outside of the track at that speed to make it all work To put that in context our EVO X which just recorded 5th fastest outright 400m time at Tailem Bend sprints with an 11.9 second quarter pass touches an actual 185km/h on a flyer at the apex when on a 1:15.X lap. While huge amounts of Disney Dyno jiggerwatts help, the main thing that determines your speed at this point of the track is your exit from Turn 3, which must be flat from the apex onwards. Also if you lift of the throttle - at all - for the Kink, you are doing it wrong. Its a bend that must be taken flat if you want a lap time.... As they say you need to drive 'Flat Out"
  16. Fantastic work Duncan and Marek, we are very pleased that you guys can back it up for the following year We have plenty more speed to add to your cars for next year, so expect to peel back another couple of seconds per track yet again! Once more congratulations on a well deserved win....
  17. Sure, no problems
  18. No, last Sunday.....they postponed it for two weeks. Was a fantastic event actually.....pity there were only 3 x Skylines in total out of 90 cars
  19. Some good Nissans out on the day at this meet One of our Willall Racing customers - Gav - ran 11.3 in his Exhaust + Tune R35 GTR (you might have seen it the red one at the SAU Dyno day) Our Willall Racing development EVO X SST ran 11.9 There was an R32 GTR running 12.1 A great day and well worth it
  20. Go for it The thrill is - always - in the chase!
  21. That must be some package! Logging shows that with 420awkw and lap times in the 1:12 bracket our R35 GTR just touches 200km/h at the kink on full slicks
  22. Ok, heres how you do it - Bring up the screen on your computer press Ctrl + PRTSCRN (copies the screen to the clipboard) Open Windows Paint, Paste the screen into it. Save it as results.jpg Send it to someone here to host Shouldnt take more than 2 mins at best Just my 2c
  23. Our boys are rabble...pushing and shoving for track space. Apologies Results?
  24. Ahh Sled you got the trophy...(I am surprised we got one?) Any videos of said RH9 would make some funny viewing
