  1. Dominic, give me a call today, there has to be something fundamentally wrong with the setup Lets talk through it and find out what it is!
  2. Correction - 10.73 and hes been given the boot No cage, no race...
  3. Backing this up was a message from LSX-438 I just got on the phone On stock Bridgestones tyres and full weight it just ran 10.8 @ 132mph through the traps at WSID. Thats very similar pace to Whicups run in the 888 Ford at Willowbank
  4. What is wrong with you guys! As per aerodynamic side skirts - yes!
  5. At least you will be in the heartland of GTR development when it comes time to buy a 35
  6. Torque reduction is via various strategies depending on the severity. Normally timing retard, boost clip, throttle clip, depending on how it is requested. In the case of the TCM its normally via throttle in my experience (ie. limiting actual throttle angle versus requested)
  7. Some of you would realise that we are on the Alpha test program for Cobb Tuning, and as such we get input into and then early testing rights on their latest R35 GTR software releases. Well after some weeks and months of coding and testing, here it is, an early glimpse at the software that will eventually allow you to fully customise the launch control settings in your R35 GTR. Have LC1? Then Upgrade to LC2 or LC3. Want to go the other way? No problem! There is also the facility to custom tune the Launch rpm and alter a multitude of temperature breaks in the transmission which in turn de-rate engine power with an ECM request There are also handy features for the casual user such as being able to perform a live gear re-learn and also adjust full Clutch Capacity and Touch Points to alter shift timing and pressure application. This is a serious breakthrough for the R35 GTR community, make no mistake about it
  8. Thats a typo....I swear....rather than a Westieism
  9. When yous guys get the right spring rate in there and balance the aero you should both easily be in the mid 59s
  10. - I take it you are happy with the tune Marek -
  11. That is true dazmo, but the flip side to this is that we have never got to race on a properly 'rubbered in' track as the Group A cars did. With few cars actually putting rubber on the track Mallala has become slower over the past few years (IMO). When we were able to run rounds of the Improved Production championship at the big meets (2 litre Super Tourers etc) the lap times always improved due to the grip level of the track lifting
  12. This is how you protect the front lip against 200kph bottom outs
  13. I remember when this forum used to be about the R35........
  14. If you put enough power into an R35 they can actually be quite frightening to drive on track, not boring I know our car will melt slick tyres through second gear, making full throttle application a decision based on skill and experience. It is much, much more demanding and challenging on the racetrack than our RH9 800hp R32 GTR was, which is a decent comparison - I wish there was a track in Adelaide to get to 300km/h on - our peak Mallala speed in the Willall GTR is a genuine logged 226km/h (250km/h or so indicated), which is the same kind of number the front runners in the Australian GT Championship (GT1 class) have seen at Mallala in testing
  15. LSX-438, dont be hard on yourself. Running fast times at track days is exciting, exploding rim potential just adds to that! Seriously, you have done the community an important service by posting this information. Hats off to you for taking a bit of heat to do the right thing by others in the scene. You should be applauded for it!
  16. By the time you read this, and head down to Mercury there should be some hand fettled WR35TT upgraded GTR Turbochargers waiting there for you Mr Handbrake
  17. GT-Ricer, alls well that ends well, its good to see you are happy, and that the car is smoother than stock for you Whatever you do, dont sell it for a 911....no seriously, good look with it all
  18. Yes, yes we did run a new tyre set, however we struggle with the GTR in the cold ambients (around 10C taking into account the wind factor today, and track temp under 21C most of the day). Grip is very hard to find in these conditions, we find the GTR likes 32 - 35C ambient with the 60C track temps that it delivers. Its extremely important to set the bump and rebound rates of the suspension correctly to get the tyre working on the track to suit the conditions....we are learning more about the R35 chassis every day
  19. In much colder conditions (where we have found it is harder to gain outright tyre grip with the GTR tyre set we use) we upped the ante again today with a 1:11.68 at Mallala, a neat improvement, and with some direction now to start steering the car towards a 1:10 second lap
  20. Make sure they are business class too.....
  21. Great work, look forward to tuning this one
  22. Your parts are in dispatch today I believe
  23. While they are at it, check the Steering Column retaining bolts, they constantly come loose on both ADM and JDM GTRs and can lead to the whole steering/dash assembly dropping into your lap......
  24. Good job handbrake. Welcome to the next level
  25. There will be much written about this Particularly the ability to switch between LC1 and LC2, as well as the removal of extra torque limits in the tranmission controller
