  1. We are currently alpha testing AP-NIS-006 hardware and software for the GTR which allows full 'Dial Your Own' Launch Control RPM settings. No more cloak and dagger - simply stand on it, and straight up to the preset. Also allows the racers to switch between LC1 and LC2. Smoke and Mirrors launch control techniques are a thing of the past
  2. That is an amazing display of brake burning The brakes on these cars need additional cooling at your pace Dunc
  3. Its coming up on June 25th
  4. I can even guess who they are from the way this is written.......must say I am surprised or maybe not Just get out an race!
  5. This car doesnt have Ti tips......the complete Ti tip exhausts available have them welded on
  6. There is great support for the GTR in Australia, its quite a technology hub for the R35 thats for sure
  7. Your transmission is tougher than theirs
  8. Rafal, I have answered you via PM
  9. Make sure they give you the keys And that you dont turn VDC off!
  10. These stickers are present on all Solid Boundary products, these include WR35TMVS and WR35DF We need to speak to your tech who performed the work, if you dont want to post it here for one reason or another then please PM me with the information and we can move ahead on this
  11. Good speed there...looks like you could do with some suspension though
  12. If you read the instructions printed on the tins its there - plain to see - with a big red 'WARNING'. You dont mix the fluid thoroughly before installation, most of the Solid Boundary additive will remain on the bottom of the container and the result will be less than optimum, and the gearbox wont mix it if its not in the transmission to start with I need to speak to your technician about this - so who filled your transmission and differentials with our product? As you can see its quite important that we know. They need to be contacted, and they will be the moment you provide the information
  13. Fantastic work Dom! We are going to have to employ you as a test pilot...some of those stage times were pretty sharp (I was watching!)
  14. I always wondered what lay under the skin of the R35 GTR. Wonder no more Now we move to the next level - There is around 4.2kg of body deadener on the GTR floor - not much, but it takes a few hours to remove!
  15. As you can see from those demographics its pretty much a balanced issue between stock fluid/modifed fluid cars, and a function of how Nissan set the transmission for their expectation of an average enthusiast driver. I am extremely surprised that changing the comfort settings with the dealer did nothing to alleviate your issue. I spent some time with the Consult III yesterday and can tailor the takeoff to be smooth and slippery like a slipping single plate through to abrupt like an OS quad.....all in the matter of a couple of seconds. TP A and B especially (1,3,5) are your culprits You want 'off brake' creep with the TP settings, as this takes up the lash in the clutch plates, its this free rev and lash as you put your foot down that causes the aprupt engagement, which can then cause the driver to lift off and start to disengage and so on. WR35TM only ensures that when this happens and the plates start to pick up quickly, they will indeed 'drive' and push the car which could lead to accentuating the take up. This is why the majority of cars using this fluid have no problem, its all down to the tolerance and adjustment of the clutches. There has never been a reported instance of this with a JDM car, its only a handful of USDM and ADM cars where the clutch settings have been deliberately softened for an export market
  16. We are working with JRZ on some new setup for the R35 dampers currently, it should give interesting results. Made in Holland, and with all issues addressed that many other brands of suspension dont (reservoir mounts, tops etc.) these have proven to be an excellent piece of gear - track proven too
  17. Most of the stories you are reading in the US are of this instance occurring on stock fluid and stock cars. Dont make this out to be something that its not. These cars are no refined quiet cruisers, they make noises, clunks, bangs, and can do weird things through the transmission, engine and diffs. If you want to do this - the swap out - then contact us directly - and we will organise it for you in the next couple of weeks. If not, then this is my last post in the the thread, go your own way
  18. Thats just bad luck then......still you know that an engine builder is good at RB26s when they have long term repeat customers and a 'name' in the game of doing them. Too many out there selling smoke and mirrors with these cars
  19. Gavs a good guy.....and now he knows the double throttle pump take off
  20. Hey no worried Druzilla glad we could help out
  21. So why did you get the engine built by someone that has no experience with the RB26? Often the cheapest build will reward you with an expensive lesson. The RB26 is a simple engine, and being 20 something years old and internally simple, there are no secrets to making one work. You should have paid a bit extra and gone to an engine builder that has produced some quick and durable RBs with runs on the board
  22. Had one of our customers show me the throttle 'double pump' yesterday Duncan. It made 4000rpm..... The brake bump sounds like a bad idea!
  23. What you need is a damper than can control the chosen spring rate. Nothing fancier than that. It may be very difficult to achieve with the stock GTR suspension though
  24. JRZs are a good coil over. We track them extensively, and are fast on them. Anyone that crticises the construction of JRZ or their damper design is trying to sell you something. Take that from someone that has owned many different brands of coil overs over the years in many different cars from Drummond through to Penske and Ohlins. Rather than get hung up about dampers, look into spring rate. Its picking the right springs and the right rate to work with the tyre set you choose thats way more important that any bump/rebound control subtlelty of one shocker design vs another. Very very few people have an idea of what works spring wise with an R35 as precious little do any testing therefore most of the off the shelf coil overs are no better than the stock gear
  25. Guys if you cant get any satisfaction from changing TP settings then we would be more than happy to change you over to WR35TML 'light' formulation transmission fluid that more closely mimics the factory clutch behaviour as a 'no cost' option. Either way we can and will make you happy
