  1. Just a thought.....maybe LSX-438 is a terminator and he is the computer driving the car? Scary!
  2. A preview of the WR35WS direct vane water injection system developed specifically for the CCM package on Slips car -
  3. I love those computers that drive the car, I really do. Can we have some more?
  4. Good parallel GT-R32! Judging on that pace you need to run a 59 something ish then LSX-438, maybe in fantasyland So nice though in a car you can drive to and from the track with a tyre change. I think I see E85 and another 80hp in your future LSX...
  5. Fantastic work LSX-438, its great for us to have talented and consistent develoment drivers in other parts of the country, it makes our job easier Handbrake - no problems
  6. I hear there was a '2' lap today in the R35, now thats starting to move Dont worry LSX-438 you will soon be getting 'the computer drives it for you' - my personal favourite!
  7. Its not just an FD thing. I weep when I see some of the 32s, 33s, and even 34s that people are buying, and are in such a terrible mechanical condition that its simply unsafe to dyno them. I remember when these cars were new and the whole cheap fibreglass body kit, chrome wheel, and re-trim thing makes me feel physcially ill
  8. Any chance I can bring our EVOX out and have a play with the Skyliners
  9. Our Toyo 888 test tyres have arrived for the Willall GTR.....let the testing begin
  10. Two responses here - 'Right On' and 'More than likely!' Anytime you turn out to a time attack that allows R-comp tyres on your roadies you are well in the zone for a hiding
  11. We are on the final list with both cars - EVO X and R35 GTR, so come up and say 'hi'
  12. Looks terrible, and slow. Must be a stunt
  13. Someone should contact Munro, I dont think he has a personal timer system
  14. Everyone gets the same treatment I am actually a closet 31 fan
  15. Its a pleasure to engineer this car for you Slip. Without fail this is one burger with the works and up there with the most developed GTRs in the world
  16. Handbrake, just notice this - apologies (Im not here to help people out, just advertise my own stuff right! ) The clearance is 'minimal' with the TE37s in place. Also another concern is brake cooling with an 18 as the vanes of the rotor are partially shrouded, but we have something to fix this....ahhh there I go again!
  17. We worked with AMS in the US on this one and supplied them - WR35TMVS our new high load 'Super GTR' transmission fluid WR35PS GR6 Piston Seals WR35CC GR6 Gear Fastener System WR35CC-L GR6 Clutch Retaining Clips This is not an advertisement, just pointing out there was some Aussie know how in that 9 second pass
  18. Yes I did Luke....thought I responded though! The choice is all yours. I dont like toom any aftermarket ECUs compared to factory, so Im not the right person to ask
  19. Our braking problem is specific, and focused, stopping a 1:12 second car that weighs 1700kg on 380mm rotors that have their airflow shrouded by 18 inch rims. It doesnt get much more challenging than that from a brake engineers viewpoint The faster you go the harder (almost exponentially) it becomes on brakes
  20. Hey no problems What we need to remember is that Mallala is one of the hardest tracks on brakes in Australia, so not only do you need decent quality hardware in the brake department, you also need to manage them very carefully while at the track to stop the going into destructive wear mode. It doesnt matter how 'overspec' your brakes are either, with AP Racing 380mm rotors, Endless W003 endurance pads, and SRF through the system we still need to water inject the brakes and give them several cool down laps to keep performance optimum. My advice then is one warm up, two flying laps, and two cool down laps to manage your road brakes on the day
  21. New PB today testing the front Splitter and our new Braking System on the GTR In 35 degree conditions and on a used tyre set we reset the 1:12.19 to 1:12.10.....very tight. On a similar day to the first record we could expect to drop that time 0.5 or so. The Mallala 11s are in sight for us soon
  22. This is a long shot.... But a couple our clients asked us to ask on their behalf for reserve entries. 1 x R34 GTR 1 x R35 GTR All I can do is but ask To the rest of you guys, spend all your effort and monies working on the very best braking package you can for the day. Brakes are 100% critical at Mallala and need serious application to get 'in the zone'. Having 'lots' of experience at Mallala with Nissan brakes we are more than happy to lend some advice to anyone with questions
  23. Guess what I am tuning tomorrow.....an FD RX7. 100% for real The owner has impeccable taste is all I can say. He actually had to talk me into it!
  24. I know the owner of the car. I felt you needed to be corrected re the above statements It is also faster than any Skyline that currently exists in South Australia around Mallala. You can correct me if I am wrong My compliments to the pace of this car goes back to post #1 in this thread
  25. The owner of the RX7 is a true gentleman Wheezy, and a fine racer to boot, having run 12s in the thing at Mallala on slicks. Scary pace that However its all good fun and good competition, no doubt there will be much more fun and games next time out, and thats all part of the sport I just couldnt describe the car as anything other than a hardcore lightweight 350kw kind of thing - its bloody fast, like really fast and the context of an R35 keeping in sight says miles of good things about the GTR platform rather than anything negative about the FD. That is all, and I am sure the experienced punters understand Make no mistake this is not some 'old cheap rotor' its a profesionally presented and nicely engineered car thats a credit to those behind it. Time Attack needs more cars like this
