Ahhh yes, all still around

There certainly is some merit in your thought process Gibbo I will personally spend some time mapping this engine combination over the next week or so to craft a perfect ADM 800cc injector upgrade turbo map for our packages. We can also quite happily help you out with an upgraded ADM map for your stock injector car, its well worth the effort Factory management tuning has been my game for 20 years or so now, the R35 mapping is just like home

This is why we add capacity to the standard oiling system in an effort to gain reliability. 5.5 litres on the racetrack should struggle with 500hp to lubricate.....and it does.

Transmission upgrades vary on the nature of the work required (there are many options) Please contact us via email from the willallracing.com.au site for any pricing information as we do not wish to be seen advertising here.

Duncan both of the sway bars were replaced with the subframe assemblies of the GTR removed, which makes the task simple, but doesnt effectively answer your question

Very few reported problems exist with the factory gearset. However we can rebuild a GR6 transmisison with a complete 1-6 gearset at the request of a client

We regularly get requests from customers to build them complete turnkey R35 GTR solutions. We have a car on the way from UAE for a complete top to bottom build up, and one from Asia. Here is the kind of work these clients request - and a good insight as to what can be done to tailor the R35 GTR to individual requirements This is not an advertisement for our business, but something that a true R35 enthusiast should find interesting. This vehicle sports the complete Password JDM Carbon treatment. From the inlet snorkels through to the raised rear wing. Full carbon fibre bonnet, boot, vents, parcel shelf, and the result is stunning visual excellence. Super Silver + complete carbon is certainly one that delivers maximum visual impact The GR6 transmission has received internal upgrades in the form of a strengthened first gear and shaft assembly, upgraded gearbox fastener system WR35CC, high transfer clutches, WR35TM fluid, WR35TC-F Front Mounted transmission cooler. This transmission is engineered to cope with 700ps continuous from the VR38DETT engine, and has been carefully hand assembled and blueprinted. Here our leading GTR technicians Mark Tilbrook and Gareth Norton prepare the transmission ARC intercoolers cool the charge air form the engine, which has been removed from the chassis to allow fitment of the larger WR35TT upgraded turbochargers we developed. Fuelling the engine comes from a set of 800cc upgraded fuel injectors, and tuning will be carried out on our Mainline AWD dyno with the standard engine management system being thoroughly remapped. There is also a larger engine oil cooler, front differential cooler, the list goes on Part of the engines durability package is our WR35OP High Volume Oil Pan assembly that takes engine oil capacity out to over 7 litres, which is important in high power continuous load applications. This fitts back under the factory undertrays without any modification, and allows extended service interval if required due to the greater volume. You can also see the Cobb sway bars with matching Eibach springs Our WR35TT turbocharger upgrade retains IHI turbocharger cores upgraded to ball bearing which allows all of the high quality factory lines bolt directly back into place. With a substantial yet carefully planned compressor and turbine upgrade along with 200KPa actuators we are expecting substantial power gains from these turbochargers A quick shot of the underside showing WR35DC rear differential cooler, the upgraded WR35TC transmission cooler pan, the WR35MP midpipes assembly, and a host of other goodness. If anyone is interested to see more then please let me know

Spot on Danny, nothing like some extra sump capacity....now you just need some of these - What do they do? - Roller Bearing Core for strong response (replace factory plain bearing) - Larger compressor wheel (+100awhp better from test data) - Larger turbine wheel for reduced back pressure - Properly measured and machined factory turbine and compressor covers - Use high quality factory lines - Completely stealth apperance from the outside

Oh yeah, and other than Munro.....apparently I still got some tricks up my sleeve for you sonny jim

Timeslips and lap time databases please ladies I have a Drfitbox timed 1:16.2 at Mallala last outing in a stock Dunlop tyred R35 GTR daily. Please show me a Skyline of any R32 - R34 vintage that can stick with that, regardless of modifications and money spent....other than Gibson and Skaife/Richards, it aint been done fellas Keyboards are NOT faster than real cars
-
Munro if you want someone quick to drive your GTR drop me a line mate Reality check, this is the way it works on internet forums 'My boosted up RXX (substitute R32, R33, R34 in here) will smash your R35 no probs mate' What this says, when translated into meaningful diatribe is 'I have never been in an R35 so I have no idea what I am typing about'
-
Gibbo, you have some WR35TM there if IIRC....when you put that in your clunking bang will be gone Wait and see
-
Its an easy conversion! Just get your internet-mechanic to put an internet-manual in your internet-R35.....and you will have the best R35 manual on the internet. Thats how it works isnt it?
-
We run the Dunlops, they are quicker everywhere
-
Yes I have pics of the Porsche............(he means an R35 GTR with the number plates: 997TURBO).....cool as it was too

We are looking at developing 'in flight' re-fuelling for the GTR....they are very thirsty, however a custom AP Tune can tone down their thirst at the track. Commanded lambda at WOT ranges around 0.72 which is around 10.6:1 AFR in the old money. Cleaning them up when we tune them sees several extra laps before pouring another $100 of 98 down its thirsty little filler neck

We have just got in from Perth having been guests of JPC and Northside Nissan at one of their GTR Experience Track Days. Even though the weather was a bit grumpy there were over a dozen new R35s out there getting on the challenging Barbagallo blacktop for the first time. Both myself and Keir want to thank Nathan and Danny for letting us drive their superbly modified GTR on what would have to be one of the most technical tracks in the country. It certainly was a blast!
-
Will be checking this car out tomorrow.....cant wait!
-
Hello and welcome to the board Great to see you are from SA too, lots of interesting GTR development going on around the place here
-
Excellent work Dunc, you are getting some good value out of that car, its awesome to see an R35 used exactly as intended. Yet one more GTR to add to our track test team
-
Its a principle of Fluid Dynamics, we certainly didnt prove the theory that was done a long time ago. This is also the same reason a lot of dump pipes off the back of the turbocharger have a big step in size, to promote turbulent flow
-
Turbulence in a flow system will often allow close to double the flow rate in a given condition than laminar ordered flow. This is a very little understood piece of exhaust design
-
You pay someone to fix it

Sammy here is some more information on your transmission The first picture is of the damaged seal in the Clutch Basket. This seal effectively holds the required shift pressure in the clutch pack, and when it fails (notice the tear in the outside of the seal?) the driving experience will be like driving a conventional manual with the clutch half depressed the whole time. This is not solely an early model issue, as the very same seal is used even in the current version of the GR6 transmission, and over time they will suffer these same kinds of issues. Failure is related to the manufacture of the seal itself and possibly the abrasive nature of the high zinc content GR6 factory transmission fluid. Our replacement seal system (we have a full set for the GR6) uses a different engineering approach to achieve a very high precision and high durability seal that uses field proven high pressure technology to ensure a more effective long term and temperature resistant sealing process across many years. The Willall GR6 performance seal has a stiffer structure and more positive engagement combined with a long life cycle to provide the best performance
