  1. I reckon you would probably get excited about an R35...any R35....if you drove one. The difference truly drives like 10 years between the legacy and existing GTR platforms
  2. Well Mitric has been R35 converted now.....lets hear his thoughts after some time in the car today
  3. I am off crook today, so short of finishing Johns GTR in the morning....I will be indoors away from work
  4. I can feel it in my bones.....a Munro R35 might be something the next stork brings Particularly after I tuned ours today
  5. See....its already attracting the chicks! As for the R35 disease Erica, I have bad news for you, its only going to get worse in the Munro household as true R35 fever sets in The E85 conversion on his Silver 33 today might keep him quiet for a bit, but it doesnt cure the illness
  6. Yes I might have to get rid of it now after reading that..... I did however nickname it 'Ugly Betty' yesterday One good thing though Craig, its not normally the headlights you would be seeing if you pulled up next to it....more like the tail lights
  7. You guys for real? I will be closing as early as possible and driving it Saturday....thats my day off too
  8. Here's a quick review I generated for my LS1 buddies. Driving around at 60km/h it really is 'interesting'....you know its a BAMF "In fact it reminds me very much of the Lamborghini rather than a santisied Japanese car. The all wheel drive transmission transfer pumps are loud and whine away at the trafffic lights, the clutch is sharp on the takeup and needs some practice for smooth low speed getaways. Tyre noise from the RE070Rs is huge. The engine is solidly mounted enough that you can feel it through every pore, and the whine from what would seem to be semi-straight cut gears is ever present. Drive it slowly around town in manual mode and the engine is gruff and blustery revving and blipping the throttle as it picks gears....its an angry bastard of a thing and that gives it character Without doubt the feature of the car is the gearbox. Unlike any I have driven which includes E-gear, SMG, and F1 shift, this thing picks a gear in the blink of an eye, both up and down without unbalancing the car or changing its 'stance' mid corner. Thrown around on a slippery surface or in point-and-shoot tarmac rally conditions the car is capable enough as to be described as unbeatable so immense is the traction, so balanced is the chassis. Its well, far, easily more capable and quicker than the drivers inputs in this case" As far as photos and such, after thinking about it I reckon the BEST idea would be to organise a day where you guys can come have a look at it, take photos whatever. That way no one will be interrupted etc. as that the purpose. If anyone wants to put forward a plan/meet point etc. then please feel free to go ahead and do so Sled do I know you? If so refresh me! (my memory is pretty sketchy these days in my old age)
  9. Thats pretty cool Dohmar but Im not going to rearrange cars for your mates to come down for a photo shoot and take an hour out of my day to do it. I have work to do.....Know what I mean? A look is cool....but I cant move stuff around for shots etc.
  10. Our R35GTR is a great car, any truly interested enthusiasts can come down the workshop for a view next week
  11. Hey guys/gals We are currently looking to find a good clean and hopefully unmodified (stock would be good) 1989 - 1990 model R32 GTS-t. Kilometres are not important Overall condition should be clean Complied/Non-complied is not an issue Totally factory tune would be the go Manual transmission required Colour not important If anybody has such a device they want out of, then please either reply here or drop me a PM Thanks Martin
  12. SOLD - Im sure the new owner will be happy, this is one beaut car
  13. Nice one....the project cars are secret at this stage
  14. We are selling the car because we are moving on to other projects. We also dont need to try and make a profit. This is realistic price for a properly thought out and modified car If anyone here knows Willall Racing they will know that their 8 second GTRs are perfectly presented and well engineered, this car is no different. Thats why I had it built by the best
  15. Heres the engine on the stand after it was freshly built Then after Willall Racing installed it back in the car with the factory airbox and all of the correct GTR parts including an R33 strut brace. This car is the real deal, and ran its 12.5 second pass through both the stock air filter and exhaust. Its a brilliant package
  16. Here it is No bling or cheap fibreglass bits on it. Just stealth and performance!
  17. Some of you might remember this car from ZOOMs Project 11s series of stories. Since our track shut in SA (AIR) we cant really complete the story, but here it is, in full 11 second capable trim, department of road transport approved and registered with an RB26DETT for $15,000 ono. Heres the specs - 1992 R33 GTS 4 door Engine - RB26DETT R32 GTR engine, rebuilt by Willall Racing to factory specifications (5500km since rebuild) R33 GTR cranshaft and oil pump used during rebuild for reliability R33 GTR Intercooler Stock turbochargers Power - 244rwkw @ 1.0 bar boost pressure Performance: 12.56 @ 115mph (AIR 4,6 and Rotor nats) Transmission Nissan RE50A 5 speed electronic automatic transmission Fully built by MV Automatics with extra clutch packs, modified valve body 2800rpm stall converter Electrics - Apex Power FC engine management system R33 GTR fuel pump Chassis/Brakes HSD Coil Over adjustable suspension R32 GTR Braking System R33 GTS-t 4.11 ratio LSD Body R33 GTR Front bar (genuine) R34 GTT rims with good condition Wahnlis on board This is an extremely quick and bulletproof reliable car that will run proven 12 second passes on street tyres at the drop of a hat, get 10l/100km fuel economy around town, and is legally registerable and insurable in any state of Australia, so no reason to be scared of a defect. This car really is the ultimate sleeper! Any interested parties enquire by PM....and the car is available for viewing in SA
  18. We were running around 10psi of boost, 365rwkw, 940rwnm for the event. Pretty conservative tune to cope with different fuels, temps etc
  19. No word at all Plus the bike cops closing there loved it. One of them actually came up and booked in for a tune on his VY while we were at start of stage in Wickhams Hill. Nothing like a copper that gets off on a decent skid :sorcerer:
  20. Apparently that eerie giggle was some chick  We actually ended up second to last....which if you consider it was because we broke all the stage time speeds and got penalised was actually second. Beating us to first was a nice Carerra, he was a tad faster in the tight stuff, we were faster on the open stuff.... and now Keir Wilson loves his Commodores (oh the humanity!) Great fun
  21. Its always the idiots in the Holdens that cause trouble - First car Monaro - how you start a stage weak style Second car....how you do it right  Montacute Rd, Stage 1 Sunday morning http://doughy.theddrzone.com/genttclassic2.wmv
  22. Yep, not a Skyline though (at least this year)
  23. Wait till you see what happens during dinner break......
