  1. First one to call me on 0414 437 356 and I mean NOW gets them
  2. Just been down to Willall Racing. They have some 70% Nitto 555R Extreme Drags 275/40/17s like new, for $250 each. Give me a call ASAP if you want them tomorrow
  3. Nittos drive really well on the street, you would be surprised how much cornering power you retain, and how quiet/smooth the ride is. Switch back to normal road tyres and you will be surprised just how noisy and PITA the Rs are! On the other hand a can loan you a set of second hand Avon Turbospeeds off the back of the Bentley, a lovely soft 255/70 15 thing
  4. R compound rubber is great through the hills, but noisy and a PITA in normal road driving. Its also not the best stuff to use down the strip. Like I have told ya, and always told ya, there are easy 1.8 60 foots in your car with a set of Nittos or BFGs on board. The drift Silvia at 1100kg, 1.80 60 with 245/50 17 Nittos The old XR6 T ute at 1800kg, 1.86 60 with 275/40 17 Nittos XR8 that I ran on the last RPM day, 1.98 60 with the STOCK issue horrible Dunlop 235/40 17s on it Look at ssgen3 in Sydney with his current model Monaro (stock manual 6 speed box), 1.63 60 on slicks !! That setup would knock a WHOLE second off your ET Matt. Then look at Keirs cheating four wheel drive thing 1.37 60 on ET Streets!
  5. Actually such is the long wheelbase and suspension design of the Holden that its quite forgiving in daily driving situations. Its as tractable in the wet as the Silvia with the drift suspenion that I used to drive around - the same one the D1 Ken Works guy drifted in Melbourne. ie. its not as bad as you might think
  6. Whats wrong with Chops?
  7. My mum. When you coming to Heathcote Matt? I can promise you some pretty exciting Skyline action there!
  8. Spent about $6K on it to get into the 11s
  9. Ive changed the tray a little from those shots too -
  10. Yes - cubes, and plenty of them as your name states - displacement.... Not three litres though, more like eight to get the job done right
  11. Theres no comparing the GenIII to an old school Holden. Chalk and cheese. If you squeeze the throttle its sideways, so you just have to rest your foot on it Mods here - http://users.senet.com.au/~dtech/news.htm
  12. I got no reason to tell you fibs about it! Around town it gets close to 13.5 - 14l/100km open road around 10 - 10.5l/100km
  13. You should try a One Tonner with an ally tray, locked diff, 4000rpm stall and 500hp.......in the wet.....
  14. If you use conventionals on the back eg ET Streets and radials on the front, you are asking for big trouble. Wait till you get half a turn of lock on towards the deep end due to the sway, then go check your undies. ANDRA tracks like WSID wont let you do it over 110mph (?) as a safety issue. You will struggle to make a hit on the HPI list in your car on radials Matt, so why not cut a proper time. Compare apples with apples. Steve, you should actually try driving a car with a properly setup stall in it on the street. Ive got a 4000rpm, Henrys got a 3800rpm, we can both drive away from the lights at 1200rpm no problems. In fact a good street auto NEEDS a high stall to be some fun. Nothin like clickin top gear 10 feet out of the hole with both tyres alight
  15. You are an imbecile if you think a street is the place for a drag race. Think about what you are writing
  16. Lets look at the idea of using slicks at AIR. Its a drag track? (yes) Slick is a drag tyre? (yes) You are drag racing (yes) Only am imbecile would consider using a slick cheating. Bit like getting accussed of same for using a pool cue in a game of eight ball, when you could poke the balls around quite well with your finger.
  17. Sounds like you are some sort of 'ass' specialist John!
  18. BFGs are radials. The difference between BFGs and Nittos is you can actually GET them in Australia.
  19. Well it IS about time. There is no point having a decent combination, properly tuned, and then not giving it a trundle down the strip. It SHOULD go 11s straight out the box at 120 something that car. Forget the TOYOS they dont make a decent drag orientated radial. Instead go down your local tyre shop and actually BUY a pair of BFGs. Great on the road too!
  20. 2rismo, they are 26 x 10.5 ET Drags
  21. Ok Timaaaaaay. You want a drag with the bogan? Name the place and the $$$ amount. If not shut up you idiot child.
  22. Get a job tosser
  23. Not as ugly as a 15yr old R31 you tosser! I could buy 15 of my car for yours......but I didnt.....
  24. Dont confuse old school V8 tuning with the latest generation stuff. Its a big mistake. Well setup a C5R should be producing around 500Nm, at 2200rpm, on its way to 900Nm by 4500rpm. It should only need two gears.... but a six speed Holinger would be better
  25. And Matt, GenX2 is ADR approved.... I want to make around 700hp (about 440rwkw or so) without forced induction using the LeMans developed Corvette C5R endurance racing components. Nothing like having a big cranky lump of alloy under the bonnet
