  1. Could you believe....bigger and better?
  2. VDC on launch Domino only gave a best of 1.79 - 1.80 60 foot times on the Michelins 134mph tells the story that its making decent grunt
  3. Munros 10 second daily...he has a habit of that..... As for our car Jet looks to have an intermittent switch on one of the paddle shifters, so rather than wait two hours between runs twiddling our thumbs, we called it a day. Very low grip compared to last meeting, which means Munro will go faster
  4. Congrats on the 10 second passes Munro, well done! Mike it looked like our car has an intermittent paddle shift switch, I certainly wasnt going to hang for 2 hours between runs to try and diagnose it, so packed it in
  5. Got on track today with the installation of the GReddy turbocharger system on the GTR engine. This is a very neat install due to the kit being JDM and therefore engineered around RHD cars where most of the American product uses LHD as a base and generally runs smack/bang into the steering column of Aussie cars. Dont ask us how we know this! (much hair missing) Greddy TD06 turbochargers using the latest generation cast iron manifolds. If you are putting turbos on your R35 then ensure you have cast manifolds....as getting at them if something goes wrong is an engine out job and takes a little time Large 20G turbine wheels should flow enough air to see north of 550awkw without overly stressing the engine Twin external wastegates mounted nice and tight to the bellhousing will keep the backpressure in the manifold down and the power up!
  6. Two days of track testing and adjustment of Slips R35 completed at Hidden Valley in Darwin. I sat back here in Adelaide and went through the downloaded data after every run, made some changes and sent any software changes back. A few hunded litres of E85 down, and not a single failure
  7. 60 foots become harder the more power you have I take your point though!
  8. Yes, 1st time out, 3rd run in pulled a 10.3 off a 1.59 60 foot and a 136mph trap. If the weather is up to it I would like to see a 9.9X @ 140mph or so from it
  9. Jap_Star the WR600 indicates a final power output figure of 600kw or 800hp crankshaft power potential from the package. Currently it makes 460kw or 620hp at all four wheels on track rubber, so we are getting close
  10. Here is some data from our current track session to show how advanced the Syvecs stand alone ECU logging is. I am not and never have been a huge fan of Plug In style ECU systems, but the Syvecs R35 S8 kit is incredible....
  11. When SlipR35 takes his car to the track for a shakedown.....its not anywhere close to home - Adelaide - instead its Hidden Valley in Darwin. Car ran on the track all day today, Dean Canto punched out some laps, all in a great session in warm conditions and it still goes!
  12. Another part of the build we have undertaken for this car is the complete overhaul of the troublesome and noisy factory Nissan Bellhousing assembly. We modified it complete to make it fully floating so that it could never give any drama in the life of the car from here on in. Replaced the bearings, clips, sleeved it etc. It will be and remain to be totally silent now If this kind of repair work isnt undertaken whilst the engine is out the bearings and crankshaft can be damaged long term.
  13. Used to. Not now. Cheers.
  14. We have our own channels of obtaining the A005s through our International Distributor Network. Yes you must sell your first born to pay for them. Yes they are worth it.
  15. There may be some credence to this statement. At least that would explain why I sold a perfectly good MY09 STi and bought a Toyota 86 to go racing with.....
  16. Probably, but thats life, we know all about inverted flying of R35s
  17. A great shot of the WR600 three wheeling by Ryan! We work our 35s pretty hard
  18. We are booked for Sunday in the WR600 R35 GTR Depends on the weather, but we are keen to be there
  19. We are a great resource too Speedah! Really happy to see you making it bigger and better. We know the pain of a GTR accident, but we also know the whole 'Phoenix' thing and have great belief your GTR will be more of a unit that it was prior to the little tap it had Eric at Boulder is a great guy and a good customer of ours. Seb (Slip35) went and visited him when there the other day.
  20. For the circuit nothing beats the Advan A005 slick in 20 inch diameter. Its specifically designed for the GTR and is the quickest tyre money can buy for these cars....and we have tried every 18 and 20 inch tyre there is from Carrera Cup through to 888......nothing beats the 20 inch slick
  21. Dont worry, we will be performing a complete before and after right in front of your very eyes Madaz
  22. Volk G2s in 10.5 and 11 inch That little bit of extra width helps the tyre sit nicely
  23. The transmission had covered 70,000km and to the best of my knowledge had been on factory fluid all its life. While the gearset was in ok condition the selector pistons were rounded and worn which meaned we had to use our new WR35PC (Piston Clip) to ensure that these didnt turn and cause errors during operation. This is one of the reasons that the transmission was in fault mode when the vehicle was shipped to us (not a local Aussie car). Here is a picture of our fix - This is very similar to the 'Nissan TSB caps' used when these transmissions wear prematurely under warranty. Note the transmission in the picture isnt the transmission out of the car, its a dummy up for the sake of the photo
  24. When WR600 goes to the track these days - this is how we roll
