  1. There should be an UGR TT Lambo in Australia to test against soon enough. Watch this space
  2. Having driven a manual RWD into an 11 and an SST into an 11, I can tell you the kind of timing and driving input required to get either job done isnt that different. Obviously some of us have more talented Nannys than others.
  3. All the AWD cars that you see us race will make boost on the line via various launch control subroutines in the ECU. My STi will hang around 1.0 bar stationary if requested, while RH9 could go well beyond that if need be. Because these cars grip and go - rather than flail around axle tramping - its uncommon to damage anything. This is all pointless in Commodore/Falcon turbo as in manual form their rear end geometry is that poor stopping them from axle tramping and twisting, snapping, bending everything in the driveline is almost impossible.
  4. Anti-lag is old had these days for launch control Point is you have to be able to have the traction to use it. Time to get rid of the cart springs and 235s and get into some AWD goodness instead....
  5. Dazza did very well indeed, those times put him on track for a mid 11 which is about right. Get a cooler into it - to avoid the heatsoak monster - and some gearing work to run it in the 6's I reckon
  6. Read what I wrote again - its all in the 60. That has - always been the way. Dyno numbers mean very little on street cars on the drag strip, particularly when most of the turbo Falcons getting around with 400+rwkw are really only spinning 330 or so
  7. We may bring the 35 out at some stage when its full track just to 'see'. RH9 is retired from drag racing though. Its not coming back out. Dont let my lack of enthusiasm stop you though! It looks like a doddle to run a fairly stock R32/R33 GTR into the 10s these days, and if you put the right tyre under it a GTS-t shouldnt be much further behind. Plenty of folks in manual Commodores pumping in the 10s with dyno cards in the mid 300s, so the superior rear end of the Nissan puts it well within reach.
  8. My Evo ran 11.9 with 210kw at all four Its you hook it up across the 60 that makes - all - the difference
  9. Not sure if there are too many advantages to be had with a larger plenum domino The jury is still out on that one with VR38. There are companies making them, but look for some hard data (GTR manifold is a pretty nice thing out the box)
  10. Love tuning those Kompressor engines too, they respond nicely with a better intercooler setup, some more boost, and a full remap of the Bosch Motronic
  11. Its in and ready to rock
  12. In it goes!
  13. We had/still have an 8 second R32 GTR and we invested in 35
  14. Note: Mods required (substantial compressor cover mods, new turbo drain required, custom silicone etc.) to make one of these Alpha systems work in RHD form. They are not a straight fit into any ADM/JDM GTR so be prepared for that if you invest in such a thing
  15. FYI Nur there are plenty of small turbo upgrade R35 GTRs running in the 9s, big systems not required. The stock turbo record is 10.01 or something crazy like that.
  16. The good thing about ANDRA being so restrictive about operation and setup of cars like the R35....is that there are SO many better things to do with a GTR than drag race it
  17. Coming together..........
  18. That makes more sense!
  19. Your sensor should show around 85% - 88% Domino
  20. Ok so let me get this straight.... Road cars are limited to 660 feet Top Fuellers are limited to 1000 feet ....because the track isnt long enough.
  21. What a WOFTAM.... Next it will be Junior Dragsters only
  22. You can do this with a stock engine and stock turbo All you need is the right Disney Dyno....and the Kiwis are very good at making them
  23. Practice makes perfect mate
  24. Half tracker 1/8th mile stuff? Or the real thing?
  25. Will do Domino
