G'Day all, I just bought an Apexi AFC Neo, went to install it and found that i already have a HKS F Con in my car. is the HKS F Con any good? and is it worth keeping seeing theres only one tuner in Perth that can tune it. is a PFC better also? and i tried searching but the search function isnt working for me for some reason.

ok, so my car will be fine for a year then? i wanna save up enough money to get it all done at once to save on tuning costs. i havent had the Skyline that long and it seems to be in the workshop all the time, i would like to be able to drive it for a while with no problems, so i can save up money for upgrades. im hoping the AFC will do the trick and keep me happy for a while. Thanks for the replies guys, ive decided im gonna put it in next week, damn workshop is always booked up.

I only have a pod filter and 3inch exhaust on the car, im just sick of the richness robbing my power. It is just a quick fix really until i can afford to get a HKS GTRS turbo kit, Greddy FMIC and a PFC, maybe some splitfires and nismo injectors if the budget will allow, which will be a while away so i want something to help in the meantime. I just dont wanna wreck my engine while im waiting to save up enough cash the upgrades.

it will be getting installed and tuned at a reputable workshop, so i would assume they would do it with a wideband o2 sensor. last time they had a graph from the dyno with the results of the AF mixture, they will be doing that again after it is tuned so i will be able to see. but will the timing be an issue if it is tuned properly? the timing will still be out even if it is tuned properly. right??? i just dont wanna kill my car is all. i want it perfect.

I am planning to install a AFC neo on my R33 Gts t Series 1, coz it is running really rich. now here is my query, will tuning the car with an AFC affect the timing? the way i understand how it works is, it restricts the amount of fuel but it does it in such away that the ECU still cranks the timing right up for a rich mixture. wont this stuff my car eventually?? it cant be good having the timing and the A/F mix all wrong can it?

i had a misfire in my 33 and i was postive the coil packs were stuffed, it turned out that all it was was the spark plugs, they had to be regapped to 0.7, no more misfire for me. maybe check that first, its an easy and cheap fix if thats the problem.

G'Day everyone new to the skyline scene, only had mine about 2 months and its already in the repair shop coz a truck ran into it. but i love driving it and will hopefully join SAUWA soon and go on some cruises and have some fun on the track with you all.

ive only ever taken my skyline to Tenegah Motorsprt, so i really cant compare it to anything else but they always do a good job and seem to know there stuff. i would highly recommend them.

yep mine does the same thing, mine happened after the steering wheel was changed. i just ignore it,gonna get a hicas lock bar anyway.

mines been off the road for only 4 days and i already miss it, every time i see one pass me in my crappy van i cry a little on the inside. ive also started making the pssshh sound on gear changes. its just not the same.

cool, no worries. it is a bit hard to explain with out a picture, coz it is just so wrong and stupid on the trucks part. i will try and attach some pics i took later i think that will be easier than trying to write it. so anyone on the smash repair??

Why is it a stupid question??? it needs to be fixed, im asking if any one knows any good smash reapairers in WA. i dont see how that is a stupid question??? i think u miss understand what i was trying to say, it was a straight single lane road heading north south, i was heading south in the south lane (left) and the truck was facing south in the north lane (right), he was parked in the lane the wrong way, plus its a no stopping area. i had to turn right and cross the oncoming traffic, he came from behind me on the inside in the wrong lane. so yes i know for a fact he is at fault and i did nothing wrong and yes i know trucks can cross lanes when turning, but cars cannot.

G'Day everyone, my first post up here and its a sad one. some idiot in a truck ran into my skyline which ive only had for a couple of months. the front right panel the front bar and grill, the right headlight and indicator and the wheel are all broken, luckily he didnt go into the door. ok the story behind it: i was in the left hand lane, this is a 2 way street by the way, there is a truck in the right hand lane parked and facing the same way as me, i slow down coz im about to turn int the carpark and this idiot just starts pulling out right into my car. i see it last second and stop but he keeps going and crushes from just infront of the door all the way past the front bumper ripping everything out. i now cant drive my car which i love coz this idiot wasnt paying attention. does anyone know any good smash repairers in WA north of the river? it doesnt matter how much they cost coz this idiot is paying to fix it, i just want my skyline back the way it was and quickly.
