99 views and no replies!!! Where will you get them cheaper?? $310 -
Sheeze that sounds expensive. I pay under 1/2 of that here in Vic. Do you have a breakdown of costs with the $750 you paid????? Instead of dumping the clutch you should be able to slip it a bit and get a good take off. I have a button clutch that doesn't really allow that which gets annoying.
-
What happens when you dump it at say 4000rpm or higher? I wouldn't expect much lag from that turbo. How long do you think it's taking you to get to 100?
-
Surely with 4wd you would be smashing them off the line. I only have around 230-240rwkw at the moment and it still seems fast

Blown head gasket. Blowing air into coolant and overnight coolant is leaking into cylinder and making it run bad for a min or 2. -

Are the injectors Red Top Feed? If so how much posted to Melbourne? Cheers James -
They are just run in parallel to double the available current. Dual battery systems are (generally used) for running accessories at night (when ignition is off) leaving one battery fully charged for starting the next morning. The smart systems will always charge the main battery first and then start charging the second battery when the correct voltage is reached. Could be made to work for this system. My 33 has the battery in the boot and i'm able to run a massive battery which could easily cope with 300 amps. When i bought it, it had some piss weak battery that would struggle to start a motorbike!

I never run the winch while idling!! I'm always powering out of the bog hole or trying to get up a hill. I did give an example of the race guys running turbo charged Nissan motors and they are WOT. Anyway it doesn't matter, time will tell.

No it's not a magical Skyline that somehow is different from any other vehicle on the road. No it's not a diesel. It's fuel injected and has a very similar ECU and the same sensors to an R32. A lot of the race patrols (fuel injected turbo petrols) run 12HP winches without any trouble. Anyway, i'm not saying this electric turbo will work but there are a lot of ppl on here with no experience on the matter that keep commenting on why it wont work electrically.
-
I cannot comment on how the voltage drop may affect the tune however it will not shut the car down. If your skyline is affected by your brake lights then there is something wrong. What happens when you put your headlights on, ac on and rear demister??? My patrol has the same size alternator and the winch pulls around 400amps and in much longer events......Normally 3-4 mins X 4 - 5 times depending on the situation without a problem at all. Yes the battery is bigger than your average skyline but not by a great deal.
-
Does anyone know if you can buy the wiring kit for the AEM wideband? I have installed one in my Patrol but wouldn't mind using it in the skyline at times and i don't want to have to keep passing it through the firewall! For $185 delivered i think the AEM is great! Helped me sort out some issues already.

Bump -
Plugs were gapped at 0.8mm 3 weeks ago when i installed the new coils

I decided to cut a few secret holes in my airbox and snorkel just in case. To my surprise its made quite a big difference and boost is up enough that it is now missing at about 5000rpm (Dam because i just installed brand new OEM coils) . I will have to turn the boost down until i get a retune. By the way i'm running an Ebay Silicon intake pipe on my gt3040 with 0.63 rear. I cant see a 3" metal intake being an benefit as it would need a reducer on the turbo inlet.

^^^Any pics?

So will not work with the standard airbox then? I'm trying to keep my set up looking 100% stock under the bonnet

Jst get OEM coils for $450 off here.
