    well i havent got alot of time to read ruby's thread, but i am with him

    no i wont put my head in a cheap helmet too. unless the expensive ones are on sale :D

    and if it aint got a chrome sticker watch out, u could be buying crap.

    for once chrome is actually good lol

    I remember fairly recently seeing an RAA study into accidents, that showed that planting trees anywhere near the roadside is a VERY bad idea. And I agree.

    Then they did the new Port Expressway which is a 90km/k zone down the back of Gillman/Wingfield/Ottoway (where the Elite Street Tuned cruise recently had 2 cars written off) - and proceeded to plant something like 500 trees along it .... idiots.

    As guy and Pete say: it's rarely the accident or speed that kills you - it is the hard thing you end up against that kills you the majority of the time.

    If there were trees there at the time of the crash me and my mates wouldnt be here right now.

    i know that solid object so close to the road are dangerous idea

    and i agree that planting trees 5 metres away is just plain stupidity

    and a bit off topic here but seen as there are a few more ppl on here that ride bikes then i thought.

    i never touch the rear brake when riding on the road, how many off the riders here that know what there talking about do the same??

    my old boss use to race in the superbike series and he taught me all that stuff

    damn i have had like 4 jobs in the last year lmfao

    so cant use the calculator for working stuff out until i get my group cert's.

    how long does it normally take bigger business's to send them out??

    im hoping a month max.

    yeh i seen that, that is the weirdest AS sticker i have seen lol

    not arguing or anything i am just saying what i think

    people can buy these if they want. i am just saying my idea, and that i wouldnt buy a cheap helmet (not this cheap anyway)

    to some extent yes you are right

    but the helmet it self is not suppose the crack

    the foam on the inside should crumple without the casing breaking therefore leaving a bit of cushioning

    me i know i wouldnt buy one, but yeh everyone to there own

    be careful if you pull the hand controller out coz it stuffed my mates map's up for a while

    and then when u plug it back in it goes all wierd for ages

    i would do the best to hide it up under the dash and tape the wire around one of the looms and try to hide it as best as possible.

    but make sure that regency cant see it

    they wont pull panels out though

    Hey, I just bought a cheap Aus standard approved helmet off DealsDirect.

    $35 including shipping - and best bit is they sent me the $49.95 + shipping helmet - not the one pictured! (Not that they look vastly different anyhow).

    I know we currently don't have a drag strip, but if you ever plan to drag or go to Mallala, these are a very cheap option! I just bought mine as a spare - for $35 you can't go wrong!

    until u crash and u head gets jerked forward and the helmet splits in half

    where abouts is the australian standards sticker?? AS 1*** watever it is??

    coz from memory they wont let you use a helmet that doesnt have the right standards.

    you are better off paying $150 for a helmet that will protect you in the case of a major crash

    not some cheap crap like this

    not trying to ruin your thread

    but i worked at a place where helmets were the one of the biggest concerns to us.

    and even if someone had a shoei helmet that we all knew and the AS sticker had been peeled off, we wouldnt let them use it.

    Go to bills motorcycle's and buy something decent

    im glad i paid $250 for mine, it has saved me a couple times

    and im sure people that ride motorbikes will say the same thing, dont invest in crap brand helmets.
