Yeah the black shit is annoying. Was so glad when Dim cleaned it off for me! Haha sworn never to let it get that bad ever again!! Worst I have seen is a white R33 GTST that I see in Page... I don't reckon it's been cleaned in a long while nor do I think it's coming off!! Apparently it can burn in if it's bad enough.

I think sometimes it's in Phillip or out at the Cotter as well. Hanging out with Commo drivers doing burnouts... Hmmm no thankyou! But come on we drive modified Skylines so we must be car hoons!

Some thing that goes on Thursday nights, I think the location varies. Has a lot of "car hoons" that gather and do burnouts and drifting etc. Attracts a lot of police attention. I only know what it is cause a few of the boys on Canberra Cruises were mentioning it. I don't know the truth to this but apparently a few weeks ago a cop was undercover and people found out and he got bashed.

I've read on some other forums that they're cracking down a lot and people are leaving their cars in the carpark in places like Civic or at UC and coming back to find a nice defect sticker on them. Apparently all this has a lot to do with some of the dodgy street behavior that's going on in Canberra. I know that this Rush Hour thing isn't new but has it recently gotten bigger or something? Not sure why its so much in the spotlight now?? Plan to stay as far away from that crap as possible

Oh white GTRs are just sexy as!!! They're the best. Nothing wrong with my grille I'm just prettying her up a bit. It's actually an open mouth syle grille similar to that of an R33 GTR so has mesh and stuff and going to put a GTR badge on it, not sure whether to go 33 or 34 badge wise. I'm pretty sure the one it has is original although who knows as the paint job isn't. I'm going to start quoting resprays next week. Paint is coming away from the sills... Looks great in pics and from a distance but up close it's annoying the hell outta me. Keeping it white and eventually will either repair and re powdercoat the sparcos or chuck 19" white Volk TE37's on her. Volks definately require some sexy looking brakes underneath!! Going probably with the Sard 700cc injectors and the bigger HKS fuel rail. Shock, horror...... There's probably going to be no N1 or Nismo parts going in or if so they'll be at a minimum... Sorta heading along the way with HKS, JUN, Tomei. I am probably going to aim bigger and better for what my turbos can do so there's the option to easily upgrade them later if I'm not getting the power I so desire. At this stage I was thinking that the GTR brembos would be nice. Will look at those very soon after or around engine rebuild time. Parts wise I have also been talking to one of the guys at the Toy Shop (where I managed to locate a coilpack cover yay!!) and they are pretty confident that they can hook me up pretty well too with bringing in both new or used parts whichever I am after. Gotta love the black ass on a white GTR!!! I recently had it detailed by one of the Canberra Cruises guys, he does an awesome job. Hence so clean and it took him a REALLY long time to get all the black shit off!!

After I meet some of you guys on the cruise next Sunday I might occasionally grace you with my presence! Keen to see everyone's Skylines!

How does the 34 one match the rear badge colour wise? I've been told that the differences may be that they mount differently and they may be colourcoded to the rear - I was under the impression that some had slightly different colours. And how does the 34 badge mount? I got my grille today, looks awesome I can't wait to put it on my car!! Will post up some pics on the thread once it's done.

Haha yes she is Yes I find it's silly to charge ahead and try to figure it all out myself or pretend I know it all! I'm really new at this and there's no point reinventing the wheel there's a lot of people that have been there before! I've made a big list of stuff that I've given to the boys at Autotech to look at. From there I'll choose what I want parts wise and then decide on a plan of attack. As for turbos I am still in two minds... Somtimes I have the feeling I went for the wrong ones.... Got the Garrett 2860R-7s and I do still have in the back of my mind should have got the -5s... In saying that I'll leave em on and do the rebuild etc and push them a bit and see what they can do. I guess that response will tell you that stocky turbos at one bar weren't enough! I don't intend to be a dyno queen or anything like that but I think I'll be happy when I end up with somewhere around 350kw at all four wheels. I guess at that point it's definately time to upgrade brakes too. I think once it's fast enough I shall know when I get there. It bugs me to no end to know that at at the moment its at 280rwkw but it's max is 300rwkw yet I can't drive it at that because the injectors are fully maxed and it's going to break stuff. I keep meaning to go check out these texikhana and motorkhana things. I was bad, last time I was hungover and in no state to drive but I may very well go check out the next one. Here's some piccies, forgot to post these in here but some of you may have seen them on CC or in the R32 pics thread. I've changed the mangled number plates and I have my new grille sitting on the loungeroom floor waiting to be fitted.

Ok I'm sorry if this is supposed to be really obvious but I haven't been able to find anyone to answer this question for me... What is the difference between an R33 and an R34 GTR Grille badge? They are different parts, have different part numbers and are different prices yet apparently they also weigh the same... The guy that I spoke to at Just Jap couldn't tell me the difference nor could anyone else that I have asked. Surely someone knows!! I need to choose one for my sexy looking new grille!!

LOL she is a she!!!! Yes nice to see some girls with GTRs around!! I've had mine nearly 3 years now, hence getting the bug to make it better! Thankyou for the advice! Shall take it all on board. I'm basically compiling a list of everything I want to change and then I'll do some interim pricing and decide what's best to do now and what's best for when the engine is out. I like brand names and yes I know its not going to be cheap! We have a "GTR Fund" that's currently being worked on! Turbos are already done, they died few months back... Stocky turbos didn't like a full bar, I had about 3 days out of it before one went... Ooops Got the rest of the usual shit, apexi pods, power fc, boost controller, exhaust done already. And importantly I have a pretty new Grille that is on its way with Australia post at the moment!

Saw a black R33 GTST on Northbourne/Federal Highway this afternoon bout 4:30ish... Big dent on the rear quarter. Then looked up and going the opposite way there was a dark blue 33 GTST.

The whole valley cover - seen lots of inserts in my travels but have nothing to put them on
