Hey Guys, I'd like to start cleaning my engine bay up a bit and without the coilpack cover it really does look like it's missing something! If anyone has one that they would like to get rid of or if someone knows where I can get hold of one please let me know. Cheers Kat

Can't wait to get this fitted, it's going to look hot Can you guys tell me if you've used R33 or R34 badges for these and what the difference is between them? They have 2 product numbers and are priced differently... I even rang the guys at Just Jap who couldn't tell me!

Post some piccies up if anyone takes a camera. Last night got a bit out of hand.... I think I'm still drunk! Hahaha no driving anywhere for me.

Well since this is a thread about Autotech one can only assume.... I don't like getting up at 5 to drop my car off either (I start work early) so just drop it off the day before. What else would one be expected to pay with?? Do you expect them to get changed or something?? I use seat covers for this exact reason. Admittedly that would piss me off but lets face it we've all been booked into places and sometimes stuff that doesn't go right, that kind of thing happens everywhere. Fact is though we live in Canberra and we don't have a whole lot of choice or variety when it comes to people that know what they are doing. Sometimes even wth the cable a tune is not 100% and you have to go back, it's not their fault you don't live locally.

I've heard of a lot of people having the rear Hicas removed or locked off... I shall look into the benefits of doing that but up to now I haven't had much of an issue with the rear end play. Yes I'm hoping to do this properly and do everything at once while the engine is out, including getting the head ported and polished. No drift plans as yet but that doesn't mean that it isn't going to happen! Thankyou for your help it's all very much appreciated!

My baby has been up on the dyno a few too many times in the past 12 months! But I'm always keen to see other people's cars and get some photeys

Ok thanks will try the forced induction as well. I've spent bloody ages trolling through here and the GTR UK forums too but can't really find specifically what I'm looking for. I'm not after anything stupid in terms of power. Currently I have only basic mods such as pods, boost controller, power fc, exhaust (all Apexi) along with some coilovers and suspension work and some Garrett 2860R-7 turbos. It's only going to be used for driving around and some track days. I'll be happy with somewhere around 300-350kw at all 4 wheels if my turbos are capable of handling this. Otherwise would still like to go ahead with the rebuild with the view of changing the turbos down the track. I just want to be really prepared when I get this done and I'm a bit clueless at the moment!

I followed Ed from Integra across to Autotech and I would never trust anyone else anywhere near as much with my baby. I'm familiar with his current situation and experienced some delays with my turbos getting fitted for similar reasons. Ed then organised for us to borrow Peter's Hilux for a few days to help us out as it was killing us being reduced to one car. I have absolutely nothing but good words and praise for Ed the man is f*cking awesome! As mentioned very knowledgeable and always makes time to answer my questons and go through everything with me thoroughly no matter how blonde I am being!

Anyone else had a long delay in waiting for this? It's been two weeks since I paid via Paypal and I have sent two emails but still no word

Damn, I was having withdrawrals with the forums being down. Was hoping they'd be back up and I'd have some fresh helpful replies today! Surely someone has something to add here

Spotted a silver R33 driving on Northbourne heading towards civic yesterday at about 5-5:30. About a minute there later was a silver Stagea - they're such cool wagons!

Hey Guys, Firstly, please let me know if there is somewhere better that I should have posted this. I threw it to the local Canberra one but haven't had too many bites yet! Now, I am sure this is out there somewhere but I have been searching for ages with no luck! Basically I would like to rebuild my GTR at some stage. I want to do a full rebuild, mostly for strengthening so I can get some more power out of her and so I know that there are good quality parts in there and what stage they are at. I don't plan to wait until I break it, this is something I want to do in my own time when I am ready and when I am prepared (well hopefully this will be before I break it!). So basically I'm just after a full list of parts that are required. I have seen various people's posts but they don't go into huge detail. I'm not after opinions on brands or parts at this stage, just a lost of parts themselves. Will research into certain bits as required when I find out what they all are. Figure I can slowly start purchasing and accumulating stuff Any help will be greatly appreciated, I'm the first to admit that I don't know shit about this sort of stuff just yet, I learn as I go! Cheers, Kat

I wasa wondering if it was you but I was too far away and didn't get a good enough look

Spotted a dark - couldn't tell if it was blue or black R32 driving through the road that passes through the shops at Gungahlin about 2 hours ago. Also spotted a silver R33 at the roundabout near the servos in Gunners about 20 minutes ago, I was parked in the blue S3.

Thankyou Gives me something to start on!

If it's a nice day next Sunday I might go for a drive to check this out
-
Ed said he checked and there were no errors coming up. He finally managed to get it to play up slightly today. He said the last GTR he had with this exact same issue was a real bitch to find the problem because it was intermittant and it turned out to be a grounding problem. So he's fitted some earth straps and we'll see where it goes from there. Was certainly good to have her back
-
But it won't do it while Ed is driving!!! Damn it. I get it back tomorrow - he said something to do with earthing. Said it fixed it once before so he'll do what he did there then give it back to me.
-
Yeah I may do that when I get it back. I think at this stage Ed is keeping it until Friday to test it out. Stopping and restarting doesn't help at all. Tried several times. Also only seems to happen if the car has been outside for a while so I've suggested that to the guys as well, see how we go I guess!

LOL oops. I had a quick check just in case you snuck in somewhere but no... If it makes you feel better I did comment to my hubby that it was a nice tidy R31! September 13 eh.... Is that at Oran Park again? And just to distract you, I shall show you this......
-
As does mine! I'm very picky!! LOL it's still there. I drove it a few times last week and the 4WD and Anti lock lights came on... That's no biggy in itself, happens on occasion usually a hot day. But while they were on, I was getting assloads of wheel spin in both wet and dry and not just in first gear, but second as well... Was a weird feeling, hard to explain. It was also an interesting moment when I took off at a set of lights on Gungahlin drive unintentionally fishtailing down the road on Saturday afternoon! And of course what happens with intermittent problems is happening now, Ed has it but can't recreate the problem! ................ Congrats on the baby! I'm sure you could make it fit. Haha I'd sell my hubby over the GTR, baby would have no chance!!
-
LOL I bet you're glad I captured that moment!
-
Thanks, that'd be mine! Damn thing is still there. I was in the workshop checking yours out also!

Up at Oran Park. Bought hubby a drive in the V8 Race Buggies for his birthday and lucky for us some drifting was on at the same time
