    Flying to Bangkok for a work conference tomorrow. Boss knows how to drink so I think it's going to get ugly... First work function is dinner at a Thai German Brewhouse! Fathers day breaky with the oldies this morning, run down and now might go out and wash the shitbox.

    I thought so too! I also figured a brand new one would be easier to cut and fit and have less issues. They are never quite the same when they're repaired vs new!

    All good, shit happens. If you're going to race your car shit can go wrong. Could have been way worse. Imagine had I punctured a tyre, knocked my oil filter off etc etc. (Oil filter is down there on that side!)

    That was sand you can see in the vid. No biggy just busted up my front bar nicely. Try seeing that over 130mph. Most of us didn't realise it was there (was a timing marker) until I found it!!

    By that point I'm hoping it will either be fixed or in the panel shop so depends if it's ready! I also want to get the front control arm checked as well. Depends when the part arrives... Apparently it aint overnight from Japan! lol

    Yeah it's a great car! I was quite taken by the black Maatouks 32 as well. That vid gives a slight insight as to what may have happened to my front bar too lol.

    Red would have to be my least fave colour on any model Skyline! Spesh on the 35, for some reason really not a fan!

    $650. I weighed that up with the second hand price combined with what i'd be paying per hour to get a second hand one patched up and prepped and thought what the hell.

    ^^ Well said! The weekend I just spent away at Cootamundra with all my friends and the Motive crew proves this as well. I'm also not saying that there's a problem with what OP has done, but both my friends and I consider me as being "One of the boys" and really, I think that's a much more fun way to be!

    If I can't find one I'll go the Nismo one I guess. Fairly sure my lip will be usable still, sending some pics to Naz today.

    JJR have the lip ($480!!!) but only N1 bars and I'm just after standard. I'll see what I can find, I think the lip can possibly be salvaged. IF I have to buy a new one it's going to be carbon fibre.

    Actually I'm 100% with Birds here and I've met some really awesome chicks (plus others!) on SAU. TBH I hate being singled out as a female and I would rather just be one of the gang and that's exactly how all my other friends treat me especially when they get to know me! Even when my car was in PI mag, I didn't let them take a pic with me in it because I just wanted a normal article like everyone else.
