Well helps you only need to buy one of everything! I found it similar or cheaper than the twins. Makes everything so much simpler. If I wasn't stupid and chasing power I'd have gone the same setup that Jez has or maybe one size up (haha again chasing power I can't help myself).

I think they look shit but its definitely the way of the future now. Turbos have come a long way the new ones are fab!

Yeah I get that. I never wanted to change the look of the engine bay either that's the main reason I stuck with twins for so long. Now I have the single I wonder why the hell I waited so long!

The way these precision turbos spool up wouldn't surprise me if you got less lag than with the twins. But each to their own. I was that way for a long time and after 2 different turbo combos I wasn't happy with I eventually switched over. I found the twin upgrades were the worst of both worlds - laggier than stock but didn't have enough punch up top for me.

You wouldn't want to go twin, you'd have no issue with response on some of their smaller singles.

Most of us know what our cars are going to do on the dyno. Point of the day is to get together and to watch tough cars scream their tits off and get some good pics and footage

Unless people want to organise it themselves or have better ideas perhaps keep the crap talk to a minimum in this thread? We always lose all the detail amongst so much crap in this section. Honestly, who gives a f**k who likes what ECU or what the workshops in question recommend. It's a 5 minute run on the rollers so that you and others can see what your car is doing. As a workshop I don't even use ESP but they're good guys, it's always a good day and they do whatever they can to accommodate us and even donate prizes usually.

All workshops are as bad as each other and come with good and bad stories. ESP is a good place to hold the dyno day and we've had some really good days there in the past.

Actually I had almost a full dyno day in the end. Was canned because Glen broke his hand and needed surgery and couldn't run the day. I tried a few times to get ESP to give me another date but it never happened and then it was too close to other events and Christmas. Not keen to organise another but if someone else gets it going I'll give them a hand and I'll help run things on the day.

I'd be keen to lend a hand organising again. Would also be up for a run on the rollers. Although suggest scrap the whole skyline vs poopra thing and just open up to anyone who wants to enter. Last time when it came down to it I had a lot more different cars entered other than Skylines.

I saw the 35. Wasn't that bad. Not my thing really but I've seen much worse.

I think it'd more be a line up with school holidays. Happens all too often. Even driving up to Syd over Christmas there was an unusual amount of stolen/dumped cars along the highway.

I'm going in the daytime but leaving cause I'm not a fan of Hilltop Hoods. Head home for a bit then it's braddon time! Just watched the movie Cars at the drive in but got a bit breezy up in the stands so we decided to skip the second movie and head home.

I do! Yeah that's what I was thinking. I figured didn't hurt to go in have a look and a wander around anyways. If it's shit we'll go home. Surely they accommodate for people who don't have cars since gates are open to the public for this whole time.

It's like on the main screen at the main stage or something. Cars that aren't entered can't drive in but I'm assuming you can sit on the grass or somewhere to watch it. They are playing Cars and Running on Empty. Surely there's external speakers right? lol

GTR isn't entered. Hence wondering if I can still go and sit outside to watch it.

Anyone heading out to the Nats for a look?? I have a season pass so I'll be loitering around. Will likely be in Braddon on the Fri/Sat nights too. I'm keen to head to the drive in on the Thurs but have no idea if that's just for entrants with cars. Anyone got any idea?
