    No idea! I'm just sayin to transfer my Beema from NSW rego to ACT rego all I had to do was go get it inspected at any authorised workshop (which I did) then took the paperwork to dickson with the old plates. Signed some shit, got new plates and was done. Was very easy. It's nice to have one car that is straight forward!

    They can defect you for whatever they like unfortunately then up to you to get it passed at Dickson.

    Lets face it though, who hasn't had people fly up behind them on the highway and tail gate them until they move? Doesn't mean you need to inflame the situation and I think that's what Artz was pointing out. Scares me how many people actually backed OP and said they'd do the same thing. Someone tailgates me on the highway I might get annoyed but certainly don't deliberately slow down to box cars in.

    I thought they could still go over anything they wanted at their own discretion. FJ needs to go over Dickson as his car has an engineer's cert. Even with that it's quite possible they'll give him a thorough reaming. For cars over 10 years old they don't need to go over Dickson other than things like engineer's cert or if you've been ordered to.

    I see more f**kwits driving Skylines than I see issues with "Summernats diks" every year. It's 4 days of year. People in Canberra need to stop complaining about EVERYTHING otherwise we will have no events here full stop.

    I just wanted it to be anything other than what it was... Coming out a crack on the side of the block. Oh well. She's all sweet now! But I never want that feeling again.

    Fingers crossed she's all sweet (And I'm sure she will be!!). Mine was on other side of the motor. I too had hoped it was just a fluid line or worst case a welsch plug but no such luck as confirmed when we got her on the hoist. Do you have aftermarket temp gauge? Bear in mind by the time the factory one moves you're usually well f**ked and it's too late.

    Yeah no chance getting it over with a screamer lol... Was it one of those RTA roadside setups that got you? GL getting it passed. Can be quite an interesting experience.

    As already said, AFP are usually pretty easy going with cars so long as there's nothing ridiculous or bad behavior so hopefully just rego checks. Never know, maybe they just like the cars!

    Interesting. I see a number of 32 GTRs quite regularly in Canberra but they aren't forum goers that I'm aware of. Would love to go to this but have something else on the day already.

    That's pretty much how I roll too. Although given the heat I might be up around that time hauling my ass around the lake before it gets too hot. I haven't even washed the car, I'll see how I go on the day.

    I can't help but think this is going to flop... Also want to add, if someone reasonable is taking the pics as was planned I'm all for it but I'm not paying to get a calendar printed that people are just using their go pro or happy snap cameras to take pics. Kinda takes the shine off a bit. I think lack of commitment is going to get us here.

    We just had round one of Christmas at our place! Round 2 at mum and dad's tomorrow and round 3 with Pete's family the day after. Bring it on!! Merry Christmas folks!
