    It's not very hard to tell when a car is running a hollowed out cat, the smell for one is a dead giveaway. I did it briefly when I had my Metalcat on order and the horrible tune on it didn't help but the GTR was also shooting flames like a motherf**ker. That bit was actually kinda cool LOL.

    I've never had third party insurance so not 100% on how it works, however if you inform your insurance company that this has happened, will they assist you with chasing this claim? We had issues with an asshole damaging my husbands Audi and being a total cocksmoker about payment and the insurance company was fabulous.

    I haven't put a price on mine as it's still in Sydney and I don't even know if it's out of the car yet. Want to lay eyes on it before I say it's for sale and of course make sure its ok. Sounds like you are after a quicker solution than mine anyway. Mine won't be home till early Dec at best.

    Back in 2001/2002 when I had my N/A auto R33 (I can't believe I'm openly admitting to owning that ) I paid $2800 a year with Just cars! Didn't do myself any favours that it was my first car and I'd never had insurance before though.

    That was something I was prepared to cop though, I didn't want to be stuck paying a car loan with no car!

    More years ago than I care to remember insurance in my N/A R33 used to be a total killer! I swear by the time I sold it I could have paid for the car over again with what I'd paid in insurance. I never needed it but am glad I had it and the car was so totally worth it. It's where my whole Skyline obsession began I do imagine since that time insurance hasn't gotten any kinder to the youngens!

    I'll be in Sydney the weekend of the 5th too. I'll be flying back into Canberra on the 11th after a wedding on Fri 10th so whether I make it all depends on the location of the BBQ and hangover levels

    Yeah I can't do 4-5 Dec. I'm a better chance if it's a Sunday however if it's a Saturday it just depends which one and at what times. Anything after Christmas is probably a no go for me as I'll have family shit to do.

    Yeah give it some time. Mine were appalling for quite some time before I was able to get them fixed!

    I'm not so fussed on the drive part given the stone chips I got last time I did a cotter cruise however would be nice to get all the cars together and catch up with everyone for an end of year BBQ. Do people want a Saturday or a Sunday?

    I think it looks ok for what it is. I'd buy it as a POS runabout to go to the shops and stuff.
